Chapter 108: Please let me go

Demir was appalled seeing the current condition of the eagle tribe from the entrance. The plaza which was so glorious earlier was reduced to mere debris now, beastmen were scurrying out of the tribe and maybe even out of the beast city to avoid the risk of losing their lives. The power of only one immortal beastman was this hazardous so he tried to calm his erratic nerves before losing his sanity just like Blake.

He entered inside and caught sight of Victor contemplating whether to turn into his beast form to stop Blake. Both were thinking the same, they were now able to control their worry about Lyra going missing by staying in their beastman forms. But it might not be the same if they turned into their beast forms because then they would become more powerful and all of their senses including emotions will heighten which might cause more damage than benefit.

Victor’s mind was switching from wanting to turn and not turn into his beast form, then he glimpsed at Demir striding towards him "Hey, you turn into your beast form and stop that snake"

"You do it," Demir said, "I can’t control myself once I turn and my poison going haywire is also an issue"

Victor wanted to curse out loud but held back. Why was he stuck with these useless idiots? "Fine! I’ll do it" he said and closed his eyes but halted when Demir called for him.

"What really happened to my sunshine? Di-did she returns to her world?"

"Yeah give her more ideas" Victor muttered under his breath and answered ’No’ before turning into his beast form a Vulture.

The vulture soared to the sky and launched himself at the giant black snake on the land ’Screech’

Blake stopped his movements and looked up to only receive a blow on his face. He hissed at the vulture and attacked him with his tail sending him to the ground with a ’thud’ which destroyed half of the eagle tribe sending everyone into a panic.

The wolf king and Lion King together with other kings continued sending the females and Beastmen out of the eagle tribe. While Demir’s father walked to him, "Why are you not stopping them? Do you want to get the entire beast world destroyed?"

"Victor is trying to suppress Blake, father. Look properly before talking"

"You call that suppressing? Dimwit, he is taking out his frustration on that snake" The Scorpion King was right. Maybe at first, Victor tried to control Blake but as time passed both of them lost themselves and were going for each other’s neck.

"Victor is also not that great in controlling his emotions and here I thought that he was the most rational one" commented Demir looking at the eagle castle that the vulture destroyed with his strong gust of wind.

His father sighed, "At least use your poison and paralyze their movements for some time"

"Then who will control me if I also lose myself?"

"I will," said his father for which he frowned, "It’s dangerous father"

The scorpion king looked at his son and started talking seriously, "Listen, son, we have to do this to save this place. I together with the other kings will somehow suppress you, so turn now and stop them with your venom"

Demir glanced at Lucas and Noah’s father and saw them nod their head in agreement with the other kings. He hoped to not lose himself and turned into a scorpion. He stepped towards Blake and Victor with his eight legs and released the paralyzing venom at them.

Victor fell to the ground and started struggling to move. Whereas, Blake tried to counterattack Demir’s poison with his own which caused both him and Demir to slump on the ground. They struggled to get up but were unable to do so with the poison in the air.

Demir saw his father stepping towards them but he shook his head and talked to him with scorpion speech, "Father don’t! Leave this place with the others before I too lose myself!"

"But...." his father started but Demir roared his words, "Go! My poison might kill you, I also didn’t expect this level of toxicity.....Leave!"

The scorpion king nodded his head and masked Demir’s poison with his own to stop it from spreading out of the eagle tribe and went towards the other kings, "We should leave now your majesties"

"But shouldn’t we try to restrict them?" said one of them in the crowd.

He shook his head, "There are too powerful for us, we should leave before my masking wears off"

The kings sighed and left the place hastily. When they were far enough from the immortal beastmen, Lucas’s father asked the thing that was bugging his mind, "Where is the new eagle king by the way? Being an immortal beastman himself, shouldn’t he try to save his tribe?"

"I was also thinking the same" The lion king chimed in, "What is more important for a king instead of saving his own tribe?"

As they continued discussing, the one in question was sitting at the end of the cliff with a sorrowful expression on his face, "She hates me.....I didn’t mean to anger her, but how was I supposed to get to her without knocking that Lion Beastman? Was I supposed to request him to let me meet her?"

"You did the right thing, your majesty...."

Kyrell turned towards the voice that called him and narrowed his eyes, "Get lost before I kill you bastard!"

Gregory just smiled, "Why are you so angry at me your majesty?"

"She hates me because I listened to your words!" Kyrell exclaimed, "I should have just approached her normally instead of capturing her"

"Then what?" asked Gregory, "Do you think that fake and her other mates would just let you meet her? Stop being delusional your majesty, all of her mates are possessive and erratic, they are only tolerating each other’s presence in their beloved’s life because of that prophecy. Now that six males are complete, they will try to prevent any other potential love rivals and you are no different"

Kyrell sighed and got up from the ground and left the place but Gregory smirked knowing that his words hit the right spot.

Lyra buried her face in her knees as she crouched on the bed. Something was wrong and she could feel it, her heart was thumping loudly inside her chest making her anxious. Her snake mating mark on the neck was hurting slightly which made her think that Blake was in some sort of discomfort. Other than that, Noah’s mark on her shoulder was also hurting but not as much as Blake’s so she sighed a relief. The remaining, Lucas and Killian’s marks were fine which relaxed her. But then she frowned not being able to know about Victor and Demir’s situation. She chided herself for not mating with them earlier which caused her this worry.

As she was immersed in her thoughts, Kyrell entered the cave with prey in his hands and stared at her, "Are you hungry?"

Lyra raised her head at the low voice. She gazed at him and tears pooled in her eyes, but she blinked them away, "Please let me leave.....Something is wrong with my mates, I should go to them"

"Ask anything other than that" Kyrell dismissed her words and started lighting the fire to roast the prey for her to eat.

She glared at him as he continued doing his work, not minding her, "At least tell me what is going on outside!?"

Kyrell looked up at her and said, "That Black snake went berserk after your disappearance, and I heard that a Vulture and Scorpion tried to stop him but instead succumbed to their blood lust and are creating chaos in the beast city"

As soon as he finished her words, Lyra hurried towards the entrance and started banging the barrier with her fists, "I should go" she mumbled and continued to hit the wall not caring about the blood that seeped down her hands from clenching her fists.

Kyrell widened his eyes and rushed to her and removed her hands and started licking the wound, "You are hurting yourself!"

Lyra looked up at him with bloodshot eyes, "I promised them.....I promised to never leave them alone like that, how terrified must they be after my disappearance! They will harm themselves if I don’t go!"
