Chapter 60: Manipulating Valencia

ALPHA MAVERICK’S POV

’Maverick, what are you doing?’ Reaper asked me, and I gulped as I sat on Valencia’s bed while she was sleeping so peacefully.

’Weren’t you the one who wanted me to follow Valencia to know where she was living in the forest? Why are you acting like a saint now?’ I asked Reaper, who looked at me with a sigh.

I know what he was thinking about.

He just asked me to follow her because he wanted to ensure no rogue was following her as the stupid girl was walking in the forest as if her life wasn’t in danger.

He never said anything about waiting in the bushes and observing her house. My wolf never said anything about waiting for the lights in her room to turn off or climbing her balcony.

And he definitely didn’t say anything about sitting on her bed and threatening her like a stalker.

I am sure my wolf was thinking I was losing my mind or something.

But was I really losing my mind?

I haven’t been able to take my mind off her from the moment her lips landed on my neck, the way she wrapped her hands around my neck and engulfed me in her arms, her body pressed on mine.

I haven’t been able to take my mind off the way she fell on me in that ambiguous way or how her eyes widen immediately whenever we are so close.

The way she smells, the way she reacts or smiles mischievously, I haven’t been able to think of anything else other than her, and the fact alone wasn’t letting me sleep at night.

She wasn’t sending her cat to me anymore either.

Was it because I told her I wanted to purchase it?

I thought it wasn’t about Valencia.

Yes, I kept denying it. But the cat actually had some of her scents, and it was only after she hugged me so intimately today and slept on my chest, letting me have the best sleep of my life, did I realize it was actually her scent that I was craving.

I turned to look at the girl, who moaned in her sleep before turning to face me.

With a sigh, I tucked her hair behind her ears.

"What have you done, Mitsuki?" I whispered to her.

’Mitsuki? So you are giving her love names now? Maverick we know we are walking on a very dangerous path,’ Reaper said, and I gulped before humming.

’I know. That’s why I have decided to end all connections with her from now onwards. I have started to feel drawn to her more than what we can call healthy,’ I said before standing.

However, before I could take another step, Valencia held my hand and my heart skipped a beat.

’Don’t,’ she whispered, and for a moment I really thought she knew I was here and she was stopping me.

But when I saw her closed eyes and her calm heartbeat, I knew she was probably just dreaming about something.

’I don’t want to go. Even if it’s the wrong path. I want to continue walking on it,’ Reaper said.

I looked at him with furrowed brows.

However, he didn’t give me much time to explain because the next thing I knew, he took over my body, and I widened my eyes.

"Reaper!" I shouted at him when he pushed me back into my own mind space.

I saw him sitting back on the bed before he pulled Valencia on our lap.

The girl moaned, and for a moment I was about to compliment how cute she looked while moaning with her scrunched brows, but what Reaper did next took me by surprise, the kind of surprise where I almost felt my heart stopping for a second.

He bent and placed his lips on Valencia’s lips.

’Reaper! You stupid dog! What the f*ck are you doing?! Come back, for god’s sake!!’ I used whatever force I could to take over my body back, but I didn’t have to force too much.

Why? Because he gave me the control himself, confusing me.

Why would he-

I didn’t have to stay confused for long as I felt Valencia waking up.

"What-" she started to open her eyes, and I looked into her hazy bluish-gray eyes before doing something I never thought I would do.

"It’s a dream. You are kissing Shadow in your dream," I whispered, manipulating her with my powers, and the girl opened her mouth slightly, closing her eyes again.

My conscience was telling me to stop.

I knew if I didn’t continue the kiss, Valencia wouldn’t remember anything about the kiss in the dream either, and it was the best-suited way to escape the mess Reaper created.

I knew what was right and what was going inside my head was completely wrong. I f*cking knew everything, but even after that, I closed my eyes and snuck my hand under the nape of her neck before hovering over her and kissing her.

I captured her lips, sucking her lips as I have never tasted anything this tasty and savoring ever. The softness of her lips melted in my mouth, and the more I tasted her, the more I wanted from her.

I positioned her in the center of the bed before supporting my weight on my elbows as I grabbed her hips and pulled her close so she could wrap her legs around mine.

As soon as she gasped a little when I pinched her waist, I pushed my tongue in her mouth, tasting the heavenly taste of her mouth that I wanted to drink like the finest wine in the world and get drunk with it.

I gulped. I was unable to control myself anymore.

The strong reaction in my pants was a clear indication of how much I liked the taste of her, and I should’ve stopped then and there, but this was my first kiss.

And I would be damned if I let her kiss any other man after this.

Thus, surprising myself for the second time, I closed my eyes before biting into my palm.

"Maverick!" Reaper warned me, but there was no stopping anymore.

I was losing it. It was all his fault. He started this.

And this was the most selfish act in history from my side even when I vouch for myself to be the most selfish person.

Without thinking twice, I placed my bleeding hand on her mouth and pinched her cheeks to forcefully open her mouth, forcing her to drink my blood, using my manipulation powers to a whole another level.
