VALENCIA’S POV

He must be here somewhere. I squinted my little eyes to look around to see if no one was watching me.

Once I was sure that there was indeed no one, I jumped into the balcony of this beta Shadow.

No one was here. I couldn’t sense him. Judging from the faint scent, it appears like he hasn’t returned to this room for more than an hour or so.

A smirk appeared on my face as I padded my way inside his room from the balcony door that was left open.

I counted in my head, and even after counting to 50 when no one arrived, I walked from behind the couch and looked at the broken shards, mindful of my steps this time to not hurt myself.

She looked completely relaxed as she lay in my head space, more like sprawled with her eyes closed.

Well, she can enjoy the comfort of the scent while I do my work. I bit into the fabric before jerking my head to the side to tear it.

However, the hanger came off the rod and the shirt fell on me, making me stumble back due to the impact before I fell on the ground with a thud.

I scowled at the shirt.

It was this shirt’s fault! I elongated my nails and shredded the shirt a bit more before kicking it away with my short paws.

Walking to the bed, I scratched the pillow cover, making the fabric tear.

"Take the attack of the Sharingan kitty!" I thought as I kept scratching as feathers started to come out of it and spread all over into the water.

Smiling at my work, I lay in the middle of the bed with my arms and legs spread like a star.

I watched his ceiling in peace, a little satisfied with my work.

This design on the ceiling was really good, I hummed to myself.

I will ask this man to ask his alpha who the architect was once I settle and build a house for myself.

With one last look at the damage done, I decided it was better to leave before he arrived.

I was leaving. I swear, I was. However, before I could take another step, my gaze fell on the ink pot on the corner of the table that I had failed to notice earlier.

’Val, don’t smile like that. Whenever you smile like that, I get the creeps,’ Aurora whispered as she sat straight again.

Huh, she was just a scaredy cat. I padded my way towards the ink pot.

’Wait. Hold on a second, Val! What are you thinking? This isn’t right. Don’t do it,’ Aurora whispered, and I am sure she is just scared of the mess I am going to create.

But was I scared? Of course, not.

I pushed the ink pot on the table, making the bottle fall and the cap come off.

As I looked at the black ink, a smile appeared on my face before I padded towards it and soaked my paws on it.

Hehehe... I looked at the expensive couch and bed sheet with a menacing smile.

I jumped on whatever thing I could with my inked paws, staining whatever I could in his room.

After what felt like an eternity but was a few minutes, impressed by my work, I was about to jump down from the ceiling fan when I heard it.

The sound of someone walking towards the room.

Damn! I can’t be caught after I did this horrifying thing to his room.

"Alpha, are you sure we should search for the rogues from that angle?" I heard someone say and my body froze.

The Alpha was here!! What the hell was the alpha doing here?!

No. No. I got to hide somewhere. So far only Shadow knows about me. The alpha doesn’t know anything, right? I can do this. I jumped down from the ceiling fan, going straight into his closet and hiding behind his shirts.

There was no noise for some time before the sound of the doorknob twisting responded in the silent room.

"You should -" the man stopped speaking.

It was Shadow.

"What the - what’s all this?!" Another man said, and I gulped, my heart drumming in my chest loudly.

"We will talk about everything later. Tell the alpha I will be a bit late," Shadow said, and I felt sweat beads appearing on my forehead.

Seriously, why did he have to come here after I did this? Couldn’t he wait for a few more minutes? Two minutes was all I needed to run away.

Damn! Blinded by the adrenaline rush, I didn’t even see what exactly I was doing. I pressed my lips into a thin line.

I could feel him coming closer, and I closed my eyes as soon as he opened the door of the closet.

"There you are," He whispered, bringing his hands close to me.

I could feel it.

"What are you acting scared for? You should’ve thought about it before doing it," Shadow said, and I opened my eyes little by little, his amused expression, making me confused.

Wasn’t he angry? Why? Anyone would be throwing things around and trying to hurt the thing that damaged his room like this?

"Stupid kitty, look at what you did to yourself. So just because I tormented your owner a little, she asked you to avenge like this?" Shadow asked me as he raised me in the air to look at me properly.

Seeing him looking at my body, I close my legs shyly.

Stupid human! What are you looking at my tralala? I wanted to scream in his face, but then again, I wasn’t exactly wearing cat-like clothes to hide myself.

"You made quite a mess," He sighed before looking around.

He placed me on the bed before bending to pick up the documents first, the documents that were dripping water, and seeing him acting so calm about it, I don’t know why, but I suddenly felt a little guilty.
