"Okay," Maverick said.

Prince Ethan raised his brows.

"Okay?" He asked, unsure what the alpha was playing at.

Was he really unfazed by the truth or just pretending to be calm?

"Hmm. I understand that my presence makes you anxious because you are afraid I might come and take over the throne as I have been named the beast alpha and am also much more capable," Maverick said.

Ethan couldn’t believe him.

Was he for real? He was practically telling the alpha that the woman he was in love with had been spying on him, and the only thing he could concentrate on was that he was scared of losing his throne to him.

"Are you not bothered that Miss Valencia spied on you?" Prince Ethan tried to probe more.

Maverick looked at the dancing woman in the middle of the hall, and a smile appeared on his face.

He remembered all the times his woman had appeared in his pack house in her cat form to annoy him and ended up being bullied by himself. He couldn’t help but smile wider.

"No, It doesn’t bother me. Now that I think about it, I would’ve been happier if she could’ve continued spying for a longer duration without revealing her identity," Maverick said, a little disappointed that she had stopped turning into her cat before him.

He was looking forward to playing with her. Heck, Reaper was looking forward to playing with her.

Though it would’ve looked epic because Reaper was twice larger than the regular wolves, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Besides, he was indeed the beast, and she was his beauty.

Prince Ethan was about to say more when he saw the Alpha starting to walk towards the stage. He furrowed his brows as Maverick took the mic in his hands.

"May I have your attention, everyone?" He asked, though his presence alone was enough to gather everyone’s attention.

When Maverick saw the song dying and everyone looking at him while Valencia walked to the food aisle as if what he was going to say least bothered her, he smiled.

"I would like to keep it precise and short. Everyone knows that I have chosen Miss Valencia as my rightful woman. However, some elders in my pack believe that my friend Amelia should become my Luna," Maverick said.

Valencia, who hadn’t expected Maverick to reveal this topic publicly like this, froze in her place, her mouth stuffed with muffins, making her look like a cute doll with her puffed cheeks.

Maverick shifted his gaze to her and couldn’t help but chuckle before clearing his throat to become serious. At the same time, Valencia quickly munched on her muffin, feeling embarrassed being caught like this.

"I am against the idea. Everyone knows that my mate betrayed me and rejected the mate bond. This makes me liable to marry whoever I want as long as the person before me is ready. I have chosen Miss Valencia as my rightful Luna, and I hope the council can allow me to commence her Luna acceptance ceremony soon," His words shocked many.

Everyone started to talk in hushed whispers, and people turned to look at Valencia, who was equally shocked by this announcement.

She was shocked because she didn’t expect him to say words like this publicly without discussing it with her. He, out of all people, knew she was looking for her pack’s people.

She wasn’t disappointed. His announcement showed he was serious about her, not to mention his wolf made it clear before everyone by sending Amelia away that she was the apple of his eye.

But... she had mixed feelings about it and took a deep breath while Tyler clenched his fists.

At the same time, the three mainland witches reached the mountains, where they knew they could find the group of people they had business with.

"We have given the pendant to the girl. If he appears anywhere close to her, it will light up and send us a signal immediately," Mrinalini said as soon as they saw the people arriving.

Their faces were hidden, and each one of them was wearing a white cloak with a satin veil that hid their faces.

"Now all we need to do is wait for him to make his presence known," Witch Matilda said.

The people standing ahead of her scoffed.

They were both amazed and shocked by the dumbness of the mainland witches, who are pretty famous among humans.

"You haven’t really talked to her or sensed her vibes have you?" One of the veiled people asked.

The three witches looked at each other with wary expressions before shaking their heads.

"Elder, that was why I told you not to rely on these witches. They have yet to feel it," one of the veiled people yapped to the other.

The witches stood there, utterly confused.

What did they need to feel by talking to Valencia?

They already knew about the rogue who was roaming around her, the rogue head who was trying to act against her to get back on Maverick, and the devil who had been awakened, and his presence was felt by everyone who used magic in the Universe.

They even know about her enhancing skills in bow and arrow, that ancient bird, which she will use to travel in the future, and her wolf, who was starting to feel much more strained inside her after she mated with Maverick, something that even Valencia didn’t know.

What else was left?

"Do you know about the Witch Princess who has been pretending to be a demon’s daughter to be around her?" One of the veiled people asked.

The mainland witches nodded their heads.

They had heard about her. She had taken the responsibility herself because she thought this was an opportunity to explore the world while she was on this mission.

"You are talking about Alina, right? What about her?" Miranda asked.

The veiled people sighed.

"Go and talk to her. Ask her what Valencia dreams about. What is scaring her, and what did she see in her latest dream? Ask her because she knows more about Valencia than you guys," the veiled people said before they vanished into thin air.

The witches were about to leave when one of the group members appeared back and looked at them pitifully.

"It’s not allowed, and I know I am going against my leaders, but I want to tell you so you guys can do a better job of saving her until she is mature. Valencia has already encountered the soul of the devil," the person said before vanishing, her words leaving the witches mortified.
