Beast Alpha and His Cursed Luna -
Chapter 162: Misunderstood
Chapter 162: Misunderstood
VALENCIA’S POV
’Valencia, are you sure about it? I don’t think going to the Dark Callisto pack in this condition is a good choice,’ Aurora said for the umpteenth time, and I scowled at her.
What did she mean by acting like that? Does she think I was drunk?
Doesn’t she know that werewolves don’t drink so quickly? What is she getting so worried about? I shook my head before continuing my way towards the Dark Callisto pack.
Yes. I was feeling daring.
I wasn’t even going to choose the hidden path that I found out.
I will go inside the pack straight from the entrance. Let’s see if he allows me inside.
Because if he won’t, he will indeed have another ruined day on the list.
As I walked to the pack, I felt my head getting dizzy, and things started doubling up before me.
I shook my head. No. I wasn’t drunk or dizzy. It’s all because Aurora filled my head with such thoughts that my mind believed.
I nodded at myself.
To my surprise, Maverick was standing at the pack entrance, talking to some people.
I stopped at the entrance, looking up at the guards with a glare. When they didn’t say anything, I was about to step ahead when one of them extended their wooden stick in front of me to stop me.
How dare they?
I was about to give them a piece of my head when Maverick spotted me.
"It’s okay. She is a friend. Let her come inside," He said, and I scoffed at his choice of words.
Look at him. He was such a Taipan, such a chameleon. In front of my people, he always went around saying he wanted and needed me. He acted like a lover of mine who had some kind of right to me.
But when we are before his people, I am his friend.
He indeed was making me ferocious with his choice of words today.
It’s okay. I will take revenge for everything.
I scoffed at the guards before striding inside the pack.
The members looked at me before looking at their alpha. They must be wondering when their alpha got a female friend out of the pack, and I didn’t even have a scent.
"Follow me," Maverick said, probably wanting some privacy with me and wanting to ask me what I was doing there.
Huh...
"Sir, you understand her?" Shadow asked Alpha Maverick, and I quirked my brows.
What did he mean if their alpha understands me? Does he think I am drunk, too? Am I slurring?
I rolled my eyes. I wanted to ask him what was wrong with my speech when Maverick beat me to it.
"She is good at understanding," Maverick said, and I followed him towards his house.
Even though he told everyone I was his friend, and no one would suspect anything because he was their alpha, he was undoubtedly daring by taking me directly to his house in front of everyone.
"It’s been so long since I last saw you," He smiled at me, his beautiful smile melting my heart a little.
I cleared my throat to get my emotions in check.
No. I wasn’t going to be fazed so soon this time. He always does this.
"Can you wait for me while I deal with a few things? Treat it like your own house. I will be back as soon as possible," Maverick said, and I scoffed at his color-changing attitude.
"Whatever," I said to him.
Without waiting for another word from him, I walked inside the house.
He closed the door behind him, and I sighed.
’Valencia, I still think this isn’t a good idea. You are drunk and would end up speaking about anything you want,’ Aurora said, and I rolled my eyes at her.
How many times did I need to tell him I wasn’t drunk at all?
I walked towards his room to see the kind of decor since I hadn’t explored this place earlier and wanted to see what his house really looked like.
As I walked inside his room, I realized something I thought was just my mind playing games with me. Everything in his house was atrociously big.
I almost felt like I came into the house of a beast.
Could the rumors about his wolf being a beast be true? Does he really change into some kind of monster when he turns into his wolf?
A shudder ran down my spine when I imagined that. I was no Bella and there was no way I was going to fall for a humongous beast. Even the thought of it was nerve-racking.
I mean, no offense, but did no one find it weird that the human girl was really ready to f*ck that beast? That beast?! She didn’t know he would ever turn into a prince. Or did she?
Wait. Why the hell am I even thinking about it?
I shook my head and entered his room, thankful the door was ajar.
As I walked to the bed, my gaze fell on the mirror at a distance, and I froze in place.
Wait. What the hell was this?
I looked at myself, horrified, an angry growl leaving my mouth.
’Aurora, you bitch!’ I shouted at my wolf, who looked down at her feet.
’Can you really blame me? Your life is my life, too. How could I let you walk in danger just like that?’ Aurora said, and I looked at my cat form with an irritated sigh.
’It’s okay. She is a friend. Let her come inside.’
’Sir, you understand her?’
’It’s been so long since I last saw you,’
All those words started to make sense to me, and I groaned.
And here I thought I was showing some kind of attitude to them. I can’t even imagine how they must have been laughing at my rude catwalk.
What the hell?
I flailed my legs irritatingly. No wonder everything was looking beastly to me, and here I thought it was my mind playing games with me because of booze, just like Aurora said.
I went back into my memories and played everything in my head again, groaning again.
Ahhh... Aurora!
I wanted to take my anger out on anything, something.
Seeing the cushions and pillows, I could only think of them.
I was here for revenge anyway. What revenge was better than ruining his things again?
With a smile on my face, I went straight to the cushions and extended my nails, digging them into the cushion with an evil smirk.
