Chapter 136: I Need A Nap

Liu Haoyu’s eyebrows shot up at my statement, and I couldn’t hold back my laughter. It was clear that he wasn’t expecting that answer from me.

"Where the fuck is Hattie?" demanded Chang Xuefeng as he stormed through the broken glass windows. Holding the neck of two men in each hand, he flung them onto the floor, his eyes wide as he tried to look for me. "Where is she!"

His bellow seemed to have shaken the very foundation of the house as the windows vibrated.

"Hi, Daddy!" I purred, jumping up and down so that he could see me. "Did you miss me?"

Chang Xuefeng’s head snapped toward me so fast it was amazing he hadn’t snapped his head right off. Letting out a huff, he stomped towards me, throwing the men stupid enough to stand in his way to the side.

Not stopping until he was inches away, he looked me up and down. "Are you hurt? Are you safe? Why did you leave? I told you to stay put and that I would come back as fast as possible for you, but when I did, you weren’t there. YOU WEREN’T THERE!"

By the time he had finished, he was practically vibrating in rage... and a bit of fear. Was he that worried about me?

"If it helps," I replied softly, placing a hand on his chest as I looked up at him. "I didn’t go willingly, and I told them it wasn’t a good idea to take me. Did you miss me, Daddy?"

I repeated my question a second time since he hadn’t answered me the first. I really couldn’t help the small smile on my face as his went blank for a minute, his brain taking a while to process my words.

"Who’s your Daddy?" he demanded before holding up and hand to prevent me from speaking. "Nope, don’t answer that. I really don’t want to know the answer to that."

Resting my head against his upper abs, I let out a long sigh. "You’re my one and only Daddy."

God, it was so easy to egg this Reaver on. I could feel him flinching every time I said the D word, which made me want to say it more and more. Then again, if anyone had Daddy issues or a Daddy kink, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was me.

I think I had so many Père issues that it might just sink a boat... or this house.

"Holy shit, it’s a Reaver," murmured one of the men. The word Reaver traveled around the room and back again as Chang Xuefeng continued to stare down at me, making sure that I was safe and unharmed.

"You are not supposed to be here," growled Haoyu, clearly not intimidated at all at the sight of the seven foot tall Reaver. "This is my territory. You and yours aren’t welcome here."

"We’re not?" purred Chang Xuefeng as he looked at Liu Haoyu from over his shoulder. "And what, Dear. Old. Man, are you going to do about it?"

"I’d say send you to hell," chuckled Liu Haoyu, getting to his feet shakily. "But we both know that wouldn’t be the case."

Turning around so that I was once again being hidden by a man’s back, Chang Xuefeng stared at the man in front of him. "I don’t know. I think I have found something interesting here... maybe I’ll stick around for a bit longer... take in the sights... it seems to have done you wonders."

Liu Haoyu growled low in his throat. "Everyone, get the fuck out," he snarled, his eyes never leaving Chang Xuefeng.

The men quickly left, leaving only me, Xian Wuying, Chang Xuefeng, and Liu Haoyu alone in the room.

"Didn’t you hear me?" purred Liu Haoyu as he stared at Xian Wuying. "Get out."

"I will protect her," grunted Xian Wuying, placing a hand on my shoulder. "I won’t let anything happen to her."

"And just how do you think you are going to manage that?" snorted Liu Haoyu, falling back in his chair. However, his movement was so much smoother than before. "You don’t stand a chance against me."

I felt, more than saw, Xian Wuying shrug his shoulders. "Then, at least I know my death will be worth it."

"Your death, I suppose," shrugged Liu Haoyu as he straightened more than I would have thought possible for him. Cracking his head from side to side, he continued to stretch out his body like a cat just waking up from a nap.

"I’m surprised to see you here," grunted Chang Xuefeng, pulling me away from Xian Wuying and placing me under his arm. "But how about this... you don’t tell anyone you saw me, and I do the same for you."

"I don’t know," replied Liu Haoyu, his voice becoming stronger and stronger with every word. "There are a lot of people around here asking about you."

"There are even more asking about you," chuckled Chang Xuefeng. "I wonder how your brothers would feel, knowing that you have been living in paradise while they’ve been in hell."

My eyes narrowed at his statement, the words coming from my Handler’s mouth ringing true.

Liu Haoyu briefly glanced down at me before turning his attention back to the Reaver beside me. "I wouldn’t be the first to die if my brothers found out," he shrugged. "What to tell me what you are doing, slumming it here with us mere mortals?"

Have you ever been in the middle of listening to a conversation and realized that while their words sounded normal, they really had a double meaning?

To bad for both sides that I wasn’t going to try and figure it out. If they wanted to have a pissing contest, they could do it after I napped.

Turning to where Xian Wuying was standing, his eyes narrowing as they darted back and forth between Chang Xuefeng and Liu Haoyu, I pulled on his shirt. "Is there a place where I can sleep?" I asked with a tired sigh. "’Cause I really need a nap."

Sparing one last look at the two men, Xian Wuying nodded his head and took my hand. "You can nap in my room. I’ll make sure that no one will disturb you."
