Chapter 109: It’s been thousands years
Ryzen stood just behind the group—half amused, half irritated by their constant bickering. Apparently, they were also looking for a guy named Tyson. Unlike him, though, they already knew Tyson.
"Should I kill them first?" Ryzen muttered under his breath, his eyes scanning them coldly. "These fools are annoying."
"If you take them out here, you’ll only attract attention to yourself," the Meta-bot replied calmly. "Remember, this isn’t Liveria. This is a new place. I’m already feeling restless for some reason—don’t do anything stupid."
"Guys, we shouldn’t interrupt them," Shaun said, stopping steps away from Ryzen. "Let the Sergeant have his moment."
"Shut up. It’s our moment," Lara said through clenched teeth, wiping away a tear. "I want to see..."
"Our?" Ken repeated, his voice rising. "When? How? Why?"
Bee winced and let out an awkward chuckle, earning a glare from Ken. "I swear I have no idea," Bee lied, bracing himself for impact.
"Can anyone help me?" Ryzen asked smoothly, draping an arm over Shaun’s shoulder like an old friend. "I’m looking for Sergeant Tyson. Something urgent has come up."
The group turned to him, confused. The tall, muscular, purple-haired stranger had appeared out of nowhere, radiating an aura that could rival Tyson’s own. They hesitated—especially Shaun, who instinctively felt the weight of the man beside him. This wasn’t just some passerby.
"Excuse me!" Ken snapped, stepping forward. "My love life is in ruins and you want me to point out the man who caused it? Do you want to die?!"
Ken took a step toward Ryzen, who simply smiled—amused, not threatened.
"Why are you looking for him, sir?" Shaun asked cautiously, There was something too calculated about this man. "W-we’re his team. We can relay your message."
Ryzen’s hand tightened slightly on Shaun’s shoulder. "Oh, are you? That’s perfect. It’s a confidential matter. How about we go somewhere more private?"
"Look at this jerk," Ken muttered through gritted teeth, fists clenched. His temper had been flaring since morning—ever since Lara had started acting strange since she heard Tyson was about to propose to his girlfriend and She wanted to be the one, not that girl named Nancy.
He always thought Lara was his girl. But now... now she wasn’t. He has realized he is blind and clueless, but he cannot say it out loud like he used to. However, he can surely let his anger out on something or someone.
"You seem angry," Ryzen said pushing Shaun aside. "How about we settle this in that alley back there?" He pointed behind them, then turned and walked off, waving his hand mockingly without even looking back. "Please don’t make me wait. I hate to wait"
Ken seethed, his fists trembling. "I’ll kill him."
Bee grabbed his arm quickly. "Boss, what if the Big Boss finds out you assaulted a civilian? He’ll beat the crap out of you!"
"That jerk has no right to say anything!" Ken barked, shaking Bee’s grip off. "He assaulted helpless civilians back there—and we were the ones who got punished alongside him"
He was referring to the incident where Tyson had shattered Justin’s ribs, leaving the guy unable to even smile properly anymore. Lara rolled her eyes at Ken’s dramatics—then unexpectedly let out another sob, caught in her own turmoil.
"Senior... how can you do this to me?" she whispered, voice cracking.
Ken snapped. "I’ll kill him! And then Tyson! Let me go!"
Shaun quickly stepped in, grabbing Ken and forcing him back. His eyes flicked toward the darkening alley Ryzen had entered.
"There’s something wrong with that guy," Shaun muttered. "Bee, get this idiot out of here—now."
Together, Shaun and Bee dragged Ken away, his curses echoing into the evening air as they disappeared into the crowd.
Meanwhile, in the alley, Ryzen stood waiting in the shadows. His eyes gleamed as he heard footsteps approaching. A slow smile curled across his face.
"So you came," Ryzen said, glancing up—then frowned. "Who the hell are you?"
Two figures stood at the alley entrance... Derius and his friend.
"Look at this idiot," the friend scoffed. "You’ve got no idea how pissed we are right now, kid. We’re already planning how to take down the White Ranger, so don’t go stepping on our nerves."
"Really?" Derius hesitated, visibly conflicted. "We’re on probation. If we mess up again, they’ll throw us in jail."
"Don’t be a scared little cat," the friend snapped. "We’ve got a long way to go—and we’ll make sure nobody dares to take our names lightly in this world."
"I know, but... that guy is dangerous," Derius muttered, uneasy.
The friend stepped forward, eyes burning with conviction. "Look at me, Derius. You’re the strongest youngster I’ve ever seen. You’ve got the potential to surpass everyone—more than me, more than anyone else."
Derius glanced away, processing the words. he found truth in his friend’s words, he knew he had the strength in him and the inhumation he had to go through after he returned was too much to bear to begin with, He needed to get back to Tyson, to prove everyone he was better.
Ryzen tilted his head, smiling. "Hmm... really?"
Moments later, silence fell.
Ryzen stepped out of the alley, calmly wiping blood from his white shirt, a hint of a grin still playing on his lips. "Only two," he murmured. "No worries. I’ll go for his head now."
Behind him, the alley lay still.
Two bodies sprawled on the ground—necks twisted grotesquely, faces frozen in shock. Blood pooled beneath them, slowly trailing down into the cracks of the pavement.
He stepped out and glanced around. Tyson’s friends were nowhere to be seen.
Ryzen sighed. "Purple, track him."
"To your left. A few yards away. Sitting on a bench," Purple replied. "Wait—he’s getting up."
Ryzen turned and walked in that direction, weaving through the crowd at the busy crossroads. People bustled around, too preoccupied with their own lives to notice him. Then he saw him.
Tyson stood across the street, gazing at a café with quiet intent.
Ryzen grinned. "Let’s make a bet, Purple. I’ll kill him before he reaches the other side."
Purple flickered—its glow unstable. This was the first time it had been this close to Tyson.
"Wait," the meta-bot warned. "You won’t be able to land a sneak attack on him."
Ryzen paused mid-step. "What do you mean? There’s no one on Earth—" He stopped himself. "Does he have Prime?"
"No. Certainly not," Purple said, though unsure. "It’s strange. I can’t evaluate his meta-bot. It feels... like a Prime. But undeveloped. Incomplete. I’ve never encountered a case like this."
"Yes or no, Purple," Ryzen said darkly.
"I’m certain his meta-bot will react the moment you strike. Just like ours. But I’m not detecting any Prime signature. As if—"
A chain materialized in Ryzen’s hand, metal gleaming. A wicked grin stretched across his face. "Then I want to see it. I want to kill it."
"I’m interested in him, Ry," Purple said softly. "Can you spare him? If developed right, he’ll shake the entire verse."
"You just gave me more than enough reason not to spare him," Ryzen muttered.
Purple fell silent.
"I’ll strangle him," Ryzen said, eyes narrowing, "right in front of his lover."
Then came a voice behind him. "Well, well... who do I see here?"
Ryzen stiffened.
The Black meta-bot spoke smoothly while Ryuk stepped out of the shadow behind Ryzen. "Long time no see, Purple."
"Black," the Purple meta-bot acknowledged.
Ryzen slowly turned. Behind him stood a black-haired young man around his age—calm, composed, and watching him as if silently judging his very existence.
The meta-bots exchanged greetings, their ancient voices resonating while people passed by looking at them both Meanwhile, Ryzen and the newcomer—Ryuk—stood in tense silence.
"Since when did you become so sneaky?" Purple asked.
"I wasn’t sneaky. You were distracted," the Black meta-bot replied coolly. "He’s an interesting one, isn’t he?"
Ryzen’s eyes narrowed ignoring the meta-bots, "I always wanted to kill you."
He tried to summon his armor, ready to strike, but nothing happened.
"I’m talking here, human," Purple interrupted. "Let us chat first. It’s been thousands of years."
"What?" Ryzen snapped.
"Your human seems eager to die," Black said, amused. "Too bad—after his death, you’ll be dormant again. Until someone else foolish enough wakes you up."
"Same goes for you," Purple replied. "But forget that. Are we the only two Primes left on this planet?"
"Yes, I believe so," Black said. "The others might have gone... to the Elves."
"Elves?" Ryuk raised an eyebrow, glancing down at the dark core embedded in his chest.
"There are Elves?"
Ryzen scowled. The pointless chatter grated on his nerves. He didn’t care about ancient races or sleeping Primes. All he wanted was blood. Let him kill the other one and be done with it.
"Damn, slip of the tongue," Black chuckled. "Anyway, Purple, why’d you bond with that weakling?"
Purple hummed, almost defensively. "I had my reasons."
Ryzen clenched his fists. That arrogant bastard... looking down on him just because his point ranking was a bit higher.
"Anyway" The purple sounded, "Let’s start our dance!"
