Chapter 153 - 153: Do I have Two Daughter In Laws?

In the living room, Ye Qian was about to go into the kitchen and start preparing for dinner but was stopped by Grandma Yan.

For her, it was a good occasion and she wanted to make the dinner so that she could feed her son with her own hands after so long, as every mother would think after meeting her child after a long period of time.

But Ye Qian was stuck in dilemma, he wanted to make the food for them with the Stove Spirit Technique, so of course, he won't allow even Yu Lan in the kitchen, who obviously knew of his powers, much less his mother who knew nothing about that, besides it was way too much risky for her.

"Mom, why don't you come with Mengmeng and Wei later to help me out, I am just going to cook some rice for fried rice and some soup for the dinner."

Ye Qian smiled wryly and suggested while he took a glance at the guest room and made an excuse.

"Hmm, now that I think of it, where are girl Meng and Jia's mother?"

She had forgotten about them since she was just too focused on Ye Qian and the hustle and bustle the little girls were causing giving her no time to think of her daughter-in-law and the other women she suspected to have something in her heart for Ye Qian.

She was a woman and more than that, a mother so she could see the actions of Ning Wei towards Ye Qian, and when they had arrived Ning Wei's way of greeting her was the same as that of a daughter-in-law would have in front of her mother-in-law.

Grandma Yan was no fool to miss this detail and even suspected that there was something between Ye Qian and Ning Wei, but she then later skipped the thought when she thought of Ye Qian.

She knew everything about Ye Qian and Yuan Meng's relationship at the University and when Yuan Meng was with them all these years, she told these things to Grandma Yan like a friend.

So Grandma Yan would not think of Ye Qian and Ning Wei having an affair.

But there was something in Ning Wei's heart for sure, it was what her intuition told about.

Saying that she looked around and then noticed that the two had not come out since they entered the guest room while Ye Qian carried the girl.

"Little Qi, is my daughter-in-law fine?"

She glanced at the guest room and asked nonchalantly.

"Yes mom, the two are fine."

His answer made her eyes widen, not to mention her, if anyone was in her place he or she might think of Ye Qian's answer as the same thing.

That Ye Qian had married two women.

"What?"

Grandma Yan rubbed her ears to confirm whether what she had listened to before was true or just her hallucination.

"While I was treating the girl, her body was shivering a lot so the two needed to help me hold her, after long holding her with their complete strength their arms were aching so I gave them some massage now they are resting, they will come out in some time."

Ye Qian explained to her since he didn't want her to think that while he was cooking Yuan Meng was just sleeping.

"Yeah yeah, now stop trying to cover your wife in front of your mother now."

Grandma Yan rolled her eyes seeing Ye Qian was covering for Yuan Meng.

"CLICK"

While Ye Qian wanted to say something, the door of the guest room opened and Yuan Meng walked out with Ning Wei following her.

Grandma Yan's eyes shone seeing the two, she didn't know why but she had this vague fleeing that both of them were the most beautiful ladies she had seen and even thought that Ye Qian had something wrong with his head for being only able to love Yuan Meng.

But then she thought her thinking was far too abnormal and it was against the norms of the current society.

Though her Grandma Yan's grandmother had said that her grandfather had about 3 wives at that time, it was still about 120 years ago and it was normal for men to have sometimes two or more wives at that time.

So Grandma Yan shook her head and then smiled at them as they walked towards her.

"Welcome back mom."

Yuan Meng was the first to greet her and went into her embrace as soon as she greeted Grandma Yan.

Grandma Yan smiled and rubbed her back while caressing her hair.

"Ohh my child you have lost so much weight since last time."

Grandma Yan said while raising her brows after Yuan Meng left her to embrace.

"Ummm."

Yuan Meng could only nod with her head low at her question she knew this would happen but she was not worried about that, it was after all the care of her mother which she rarely got since her mother left her.

So to her, her mother-in-law was her mother and Grandma Yan treated her no less than her own daughter.

"Ohh my child it has been really hard on you to live alone and take care of all the things here."

Grandma Yan caressed Yuan Meng's face with love and worry in her eyes.

Yuan Meng's eyes turned moist while she thought of today's incident of her mother's hairpin and remembered her mother as she saw Grandma Yan's loving gaze.

"Mom, I am fine it's just the work lately has been a lot due to the exams."

Yuan Meng wiped her tears and assured.

She then turned to Ning Wei and brought her to the front as she stood behind her all the time.

"Mom, this is Sister Wei, she is Jia's mother, she has always been working with me in the school."

Yuan Meng introduced while Ning Wei's head was always down not daring to bat an eye at Grandma Yan.

Grandma Yan smiled at Ning Wei's behaviour and felt amused.
