After the initial surprise attack, Fuyuki pulled off another two surprise attacks successfully.

Everyone knew the success was all due to Kujou's clairvoyance-like instruction. Fuyuki's strength was in its own league, but the prediction of Kujou had made it possible to avoid the opponents.

Fuyuki, though, was a bit perplexed at the too good to be true development.

He had a great plethora of experience working as an explorer but even he never experienced an exploration like a walk in the park, and that all by just following the words of only one---but also the lone person's---word.

No needless battle, the shortest route, and the surprise attack almost equivalent to surefire and being unavoidable. This was how their journey had been so far. He was forced to admit the usefulness of a commander in a team in just a few tens of minutes.

Then again, the said woman was said to be in her own league even in the world of professionals.

'So this was the professional explorer Kirie Kujou...,' the two students thought in their own heart and they made sure to keep their eyes on her back.

"It doesn't fit up......"

It was around then that Kujou murmured a few words of puzzlement, gradually slowing down her pace.

Naturally, the footsteps of the other four behind her also stopped who waited for her follow up instruction while Kujou seemed a bit deep in her thought, or seemed like she was searching for something. No one was fool enough to ask her 'what was strange...' at this moment.

Even Tenji and Fuyuki, who hardly knew anything about her other than general information, were caught up in her pace. Like her words were the call of truth. They were promised the path to sure victory as long as they faithfully followed her words.

Soon, Kujou spoke of the problem that had caught her in surprise.

"I can't find that anywhere. I am sure it had jumped somewhere around here, but where the hell did it go? Its target should be you, right? Then I can't read why it even have to escape, much less play the game of hide-and-seek instead of chasing you."

Her gaze shifted to Tenji.

Unfortunately, Tenji had no way to give them the answer they were seeking for which even he didn't know. All he had was his vague hunch that was telling him that monster was after him.

Well, even he himself was just having a vague hunch but that was something he could be sure of.

"Honestly, I don't know much about myself. Like why is it searching for me, or even knowing my name... but I am sure that it said 'found you,' and that was no hallucination."

"Found you huh. I can't sense its presence at all with my ability. Even that tyrannic bloodlust and raging presence has disappeared like the calm surface of the sea. Where in the world...it went?"

At this point, situation was moving even outside of Kujou's cognizant. After taking that stance in front of other members following the words of a student, she couldn't return without some result. The confusion had began to stir her heart.

(The question is what should be our next step in this situation? That guy is shapeless like a cloud. Appearing at one moment, but disappearing at another...... the only way to capture its trail seems to be casting a  wide net by splitting up. But that---)

Just when Kujou felt all her options being covered by the haze of mist, Fuyuki suddenly opened his mouth brimming with confidence.

"It might take a bit of time, but would you leave it to me?"
