Awakening to a Special-Grade Explorer -
Vol. 4 - Ch. 166 - 166
The members of Chariot and Tenji and company were rushing through the forest in central possession like an arrow when Tenji registered something crossing the corner of his eyes like a meteor.
(The light just now...could it be a monster's work? ......Not quite right.)
He could swear he saw something squirming that flashed by like the light speed at the distant. It hadn't even left behind a single afterimage. If that something wasn't instantaneous, but just too fast to properly capture, then...a possibility crossed his mind.
That streak of light was supposedly a person with the calling to coil the light around oneself. Tenji had just arrived at this floor today, so even he couldn't say he remembers everyone's ability and calling. But one person still comes to his mind thinking about that phenomenon---a certain woman who holds the highest-grade licence at this battlefield. And she wass---
"Hmm, the streak of light must have been President Limey."
No one knows the official name of her calling. She was unofficially dubbed as 'The Light Witch,' but even then, it was a question if her calling allowed her to govern light. And no one knows why she didn't make her calling public. The only thing he could be sure was that light was definitely her avatar.
(It was fast...no, it was almost like teleportation. She's literally on the whole other plane compared to small fries like us. Haa, so this is the true might of a zero-grade explorer when they get serious huh. ......Right, it's no use thinking about something so deeply. I need to focus on our current task.)
Tenji shook his head like a ritual to discard needless thoughts in his mind and think of his objective.
(I am sure her target was going to be the boss monster alone. Right. We were conferred the role to create a battlefield where President Limey can fight to her content. Let's simply focus on dealing with underlings.)
Everyone's mission, except Limey, was truly to create an obstacle free field, and they would have to clear away the underling first to achieve that. It might sound a simple strategy but it was honestly the result of countless simulations.
The lack of any detailed strategy thereof means they were unable to read how the situation would turn out. It was like a free-for-all stage where judgement relies on the person themselves, and the only thing they would have to be careful of was to not get in another way. This strategy was a window to the fact that showed how little they expect the situation to play out.
And they have to achieve that, huh? No one noticed but this expectation had invisibility put a burden on the inexperienced heart of Tenji, a student.
Guess a student really was no professional, they just lack that piece of puzzle to complete it. Tenji contemplated.
