Awakening to a Special-Grade Explorer -
Vol. 4 - Ch. 155 - Kujou and Honnou
The tent from inside was quite spacious in fact, and hardly there was anything that was mere decoration, occupying place for nothing.
Running alongside the beige themed interior's wall, several lightnings were placed there as a source of light, pulling off a rather warm air inside. The interior was as plain as it could, with just a big desk in the center, and a huge screen.
The first thing that caught Tenji and company's eye was a group of ten around professional explorers, all having some sort of conversation while staring at their tablets. All of them were standing, except President Limey, who was sitting due to her back problem.
(A black cocoon of unprecedented scale and world renowned professional explorers...they truly are here to pit everything against the monster about to be born.)
Tenji had just entered the tent when he was stunned by the bloodlust oozing from explorers. Truly fitting of their professional titles, just them being there had already strained the air from the pressures they emanate---if anything, the pressure was like the silk-thin they were wearing constantly.
(Ugh, it's a stuff here. So this is---)
Their presence alone was on another level that Tenji found it a bit hard to breathe in the air. He knows them---better yet, only someone living under the rock would have been unaware about them.
Kirie Kujou, the commander of Japan's Chariot guild. Honnou Itagaki, the leader of the S team. The commander Alexander Addoffkart, the leader of Russia's strongest and dreadest guild. Hwang Girido, the leader of China's third strongest guild 'Four River and Fire Emperor' and so on.
Each and every single of them was a force to reckon on their own, the zenith of this world's explorer circle and the vanguard. And spearheading this team of vanguards was the zero-grade explorer Ursula Limey.
When the three entered the tent, Adoffkart turned to glance at them for a second but as if finding nothing worthwhile, immediately shifted his gaze toward the sitting President Limey as he questioned her. Apparently, they were first going to go through the meeting they were having, leaving Tenji and all for later.
"So, we're to simply focus on the underling if it also appears this time, and exert our effort into eradicating it rather than targeting the leader? And to guard the area from southwest to southeast no matter what huh. Alright, but listen here old hag, just know that me and my selected members will prioritize supporting you if the situation calls for it, do you get it?"
"Yes, pray follow that."
"Alright. By the way, we might be cooperating now but my guild isn't to take for granted that anyone can order around. They do and will still only follow my given orders. I don't care what you have to say, but this is concrete."
"Of course, I know better than to try to order someone's men."
As one of the male explorers came to some sort of agreement, President Limey nodded, a look of exasperation covering her face. Sure enough, she must have been thinking 'what a handful leader we have.'
Honestly, if someone, ignorant about the world of explorers, were to witness this, they would have surely interpret this scene as a russian mafia threatening a sweet looking old lady suffering from back problem. Of course, Limey was the one leader here. It was just a spectacle that you would hardly see anywhere.
"Let's end this conversation here for now."
Limey's secretary Illonica, who had been standing by her side, said to everyone present in the room---professional explorers to be precise.
Once her words came out, the gazes of everyone present finally turned to look at Tenji and company. Probably it was just about time for them to take a break from discussion. Now that they were free, the gazes of world renowned explorers shifted towards Tenji and Fuyuki---they had been waiting by the tent's wall noticing the opposite party were busy in some kind of important discussion---scrutinizing them.
Commander Kujou of Chariot's lips curved into a grin seeing the indomitable aura of Tenji and approached him, her steps creating a heavy 'thump-thump' sound.
"Hey, Amagi. Remember me?"
"It's been a long while, commander Kujou."
"Hmm, so you remember me. But I don't remember you calling me commander before, huh? I'm Chariot's and you're Chisato's disciple, aren't you?......but boy, look at you, You sure have worked out to become like this."
Kujou looked up and down at Tenji, a smile spreading on the corner of her mouth at the changes while flicking his temple's with her finger---as if admonishing a cheeky kid before returning to stand beside Honnou Itagaki. Actually Honnou, too, was looking at Tenji, murmuring 'Of all things, I didn't expect our meeting to pan out here' under his breath.
Tenji, noticing his gaze, nodded in curtsey in his direction.
"You have been waiting huh, Tenji, Fuyuki and Chisato."
And finally, President Limey called out to the three.
