The night of the same day.

Tenji jolted down all the results he had learned after analyzing his calling under an amber color lamp.

Taking a moment to relax with the lukewarm hot milk, a sense of relief washed over Tenji. His eyes gazed at the beautiful and sharp silhouette of the Mallorca's full moon visible through the window.

"It would be nice if I could see some rocket fireworks occasionally......ah, but I guess that's an out of season wish huh. Perpetually surrounded by the summer season does wonders to one's mind, isn't it?"

He murmured, his words escaping from the depths of his heart into the summer night sky.

Until a while ago, or more like, ever since his parents went missing, he had started working as a part-time carrier right away, becoming the so-called super self-independent student.

Looking back, it was Godo who first hired him as a carrier. Then, after being bound to the devil called 'hecticness', he never did something typical of high-school students. Occasionally thinking about it wasn't necessarily a bad thing, though.

On the flip side, one could say it also created a room for a sense of ease in his heart.

Tenji stretched out his hand for the hotmilk, though he stopped midway and decided to mix in sugar cinnamon to change the taste.

Smartphones were something that were prone to malfunction or get damaged, as such, he had been writing down the result of his analysis not in a smartphone, but also in the notebook. To safeguard against the sudden scenario where he might lose the data.

He had written many of his understanding about his skill etc in the notebook nicknamed <Secret Hell Book>---let's not go in detail about the 'creativeness' of Tenji. Some of the analysis are---

1. <Flame Demon Sword>

The sword, which looked more different than a run-of-the-mill blade bearing the same semblance with a red demon blade, once unsheathed and brandished coats itself into reddish black flame. Staying in this state increases the attack by 1.5 times, but also consumes 1 MP per minute, making it a bit challenging to use freely.

1. <Flame Demon Ring>

In contrast to the red demon ring, it bears a bit more gorgeous visage. Perhaps because the demon was conscious of it, it had japanese-style pattern carved on it. And like usual, only the wearer can see the ring. It constantly adds 250 points in attack.

1. <Snow Demon's Roar>

It doesn't have any physical form; instead the character 'Roar' floated above the tongue like a tattoo. It disappears when equipped. When uttered the word 'shout', it erect a translucent defense wall like the Snow Demon's. According to Snow Demon-sensei, its defensive capability is directly proportional to the user's negative thought, so having strong negative thoughts enhances the effect.

1. <Snow Demon's Rosary>

   Another equippable item that no one but the wearer can see. It consists of beads resembling ice. Permanently increase the defense value by 250 as long as it is equipped.

"Having a character floating on the tongue is a bit unpalatable...... but the snow demon's roar is certainly a very effective skill."

Tenji had thoroughly tested these four new items today. Though it wasn't himself, he also had the help of Fuyuki, Chisato, Flaem Demon-sensei and Snow Demon-sensei to assist in ascertaining the effect.

After all, it was his first defensive skill.

Originally, only the explorer with specialized calling like shielder could were able to use them. But for Tenji, whose status was more about well-rounded than min-maxing , and knew that this would happen sooner or later, was brimming with joy that he finally had defensive skills.

Adding the fact that it wasn't manifested in material form, and that he could activate it through his voice alone pleased Tenji even more. However, in situations where the vocal cords were damaged or there was no air around, this skill would likely become unusable.

It's better to come up with a countermeasure for that situation right now than crying later, Tenji decided.

"Ah, right. I should do that too. Else Snow Demon-sensei will sigh at me again. Well, atleast sanzu river's origin water could put him in a good mood at least."

Tenji's lip reflexively curled up in a smile recalling that moment when he gave him the origin water. Then he noted it down as a supplementary heading to the <Secret Hell Book> while he still remembered it.

When forming the seal with one hand, the speed of the barrier's expansion increases, and the effectiveness of the barrier is further enhanced.

This piece of information was something he obtained from Snow Demon-sensei. Well, he called them teachers for this very reason, and whether it was Snow Demon-sensei or Snow Demon-sensei, it was apparent both were more knowledgeable about the calling than Tenji himself.

Now that his research over Red Demon and Snow Demon has progressed to some extent, Tenji mentally made up his mind to resume his dungeon diving.
