Awakening to a Special-Grade Explorer -
Vol. 4 - Ch. 128 - 128
Although it was festive time, Tenji didn't cut short his training on the 62nd floor.
With the increase in his level recently, his body's physical abilities, tensed from the constant boost, had improved even further which made him yet not accustomed to it. So he wanted to take advantage of these holidays and get rid of this out-of-place sensation he was feeling.
Tenji's average status surpassed 5000 when he got to level; 5. with attack and defense specially reaching 10,000 in number. So, one way or another, he would have needed to do a suitable training regime to get familiar with his new found strength either way.
Soon, Tenji, in the company of his summons and others, was done with his training for today. He had four summon --- Flame Demon-sensei, Snow Demon-sensei, goblin-kun and goblin-chat --- constantly in victiny of him. He has other hell beasts continue to hunt as they were continuing to do until now.
It was hard to tell if it was because Tenji, their master, was present there or the training seemed to be worthwhile, as the rate of experience acquisition today had increased compared to yesterday, which was more effective than leaving hell beasts on their own accord.
Afterward, Tenji and Chisato returned to the Moody Christmas street of Toulouse Central Pablo, which had become the main street. Tenji's eyes gleamed as he curiously looked at the mingle of unfamiliar cultures, while Chisato, seemingly lost in her thought, walked back home with her face constantly looking down.
Then, out of nowhere. Chisato suddenly looked at the night sky and raised her voice.
"Now I understand, a stork must have visited Ojii-san's home."
"S...Stork?"
"You see, there was this question I was contemplating all this time, where did the stork come to Ojii-san all this time."
Chisato was finally out of her long stupor as she spoke out nonsensical stuff. Tenji's mouth fell open involuntarily, showing his surprise, feeling as though he was looking at an alien.
"Hey, Tenji, do you know from which part of the world these storks bring babies from? Maybe Australia? Or Canada? Does it happen in Japan too?"
"W-Well......"
'No way, you can't be serious Chisato-chan, right.' Tenji internally broke into cold sweat.
Tenji recalled all the time he had spent so far. Since she never brought up the topic of love or other such topics like the one that would make any normal high-school girl go 'ga-ga', he was certain she just didn't have interest in it. Tenji suddenly admired the person who quoted 'Truth is stranger than fiction'.
(No freaking way, so she had been raised like a sheltered princess so far?... she is even soon going to turn. Kaid-san... just how did you raise Chisato-chan...)
Tenji thought while shifting his gaze at the yellow light floating in the night-veiled sky of christmas.
"You don't know?"
"......Ugh............I think Fuyuki-kun knows."
Tenji averted his face and fling this matter to Fuyuki-kun, while furiously apologizing in his mind.
(I am sorry, Fuyuki! But I know I can count on you! Chisato-chan is just near 20, so it's about time to break the ice for her. It wouldn't do good if she is so oblivious to the usual aspect of life!)
At that moment, Fuyuki's flustered appearance, blended with the moon suspended in the night sky, seemed to have reflected in Tenji's eyes.
