Chapter 50: A Weird Scent Part 1

Before leaving the facility, Neo decided to check for more drugs he could use.

With the upgraded system, he could extract their effects and even mix them, making the process far more convenient.

However, when it came to absorbing new powers from organic beings, he was still restricted by the cooldown.

The only reason he could keep doing it with Lyra’s limbs was because he was consuming the same piece of flesh, bit by bit.

He attributed these limitations to the system ensuring he didn’t abuse the skill, preventing him from devouring too many types of power without giving his body enough time to adapt.

As they rummaged through the facility, they entered a room that was different from the rest.

The air smelled sterile, but the walls were lined with sketches and diagrams pinned to whiteboards.

Neo’s eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, scanning the drawings carefully.

Detailed schematics covered the board, showing full-body suits with segmented pieces and strange, handwritten notes scribbled along the sides.

"These are designs for latex suits," he muttered under his breath.

Lyra, standing beside him, tilted her head. "Latex? What’s that?"

Neo turned to her, a little surprised. Then again, she had no memory, so it made sense she wouldn’t know.

"It’s a highly flexible material," he explained. "It’s usually used for athletic wear, diving suits, and... well, other things."

He recalled reading that some people, particularly dominatrix, enjoyed wearing outfits like these while using whips to fulfill their customers’ desires.

She blinked. "Other things?"

Neo cleared his throat. "You’ll figure that out later."

She didn’t press the issue.

Neo picked up one of the papers, flipping it over.

"These aren’t just regular suits. They’re reinforced with something... Look here." He pointed to a section labeled adaptive layering. "

This suggests the material can change its properties depending on the environment. Maybe even react to the wearer.

He set the paper down, scanning the room.

"If they were designing these here, it means they had some prototypes," he muttered aloud.

He checked the drawers, flipping through documents, but most contained only technical jargon. His fingers brushed against a metallic handle on one of the cabinets.

It was locked.

With a bit of partial transformation, Neo forced his fingers into the cabinet’s edges and pried it open.

The metal groaned in protest before finally giving way.

Inside, three black prototype suits lay neatly folded. They looked advanced, but something was off.

He picked one up, running his fingers over the material. It was smooth, almost unnaturally so, but noticeably loose in some areas.

"They’re a little baggy," he noted. "Strange for something that’s supposed to fit like a second skin."

Lyra peered over his shoulder, her blank expression unchanged. "Maybe they adjust when worn like those superhero movies,"

"What?" Neo raised an eyebrow. "Did you really lose your memory?"

"Yeah, but I still recall some common information, or I wouldn’t be able to talk at all."

"Fair enough," Neo chuckled.

Of course, he knew that amnesia didn’t mean a complete wipeout of memory. He was just playing along, acting as if he was skeptical to make her lower her guard even more.

He turned his focus back to the suits, lifting one of them to examine it more closely.

The suit stretched with ease, its flexibility far beyond that of ordinary latex.

"This stuff is tough," he muttered, his curiosity growing. "Feels like it could withstand a lot more than just wear and tear."

A glance at Lyra showed her watching silently, her gaze fixed on the suit with mild interest.

"So, are you putting it on or not?" she asked.

"Turn around first," he instructed.

Lyra was momentarily confused, but she followed, nonetheless.

Neo stepped back and began undressing.

His body was well-toned, muscles defined without being overly bulky. It was the kind of physique that would make anyone nod in approval.

As he reached for the suit, he quickly realized there was no zipper, no obvious way to get it on.

A slight frown appeared on his face as he held the latex suit in his hands. The only way to wear it was through the neck opening.

He slid one foot into the neck opening, then the other, pulling the thick latex up to his ankles.

It stretched as he carefully pulled it higher, the tightness of the fabric pulling over his legs without much effort.

Once it settled into place, he could feel that it was still a bit baggy in some parts, especially around his legs and torso

He frowned slightly, running his fingers over the loose spots, wondering if it would adjust on its own.

Then, as he examined the suit more closely, he noticed something unusual—there was a small button on the back of the neck, hidden under the folds of the latex.

Curious, he reached up and pressed it.

The moment he did, a faint hiss sounded from the suit, and the loose areas shrank and molded perfectly to his body.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t uncomfortable or hot like he had expected. In fact, it was breathable. The suit allowed air to pass in and out of its surface, keeping him cool.

Neo moved his arms, testing its flexibility again. Every shift, every stretch, felt smooth, with no constriction.

"Well, this is way more comfortable than I thought it would be," he muttered, running his hands over the surface

Lyra turned around, but her gaze unconsciously drifted downward.

Her eyes lingered on the large bulge hugging his private parts, the tight material leaving little to the imagination.

She blinked, her usual blank expression faltering.

A strange warmth crept up her face, though she didn’t quite understand why.

Neo smirked inwardly. So, she wasn’t completely detached from feelings like lust.

He didn’t comment, letting the silence stretch between them.

Instead, he casually adjusted the suit, running his hands over the material.

The motion only made the tight fabric emphasize his well-toned muscles even more.

"Something wrong?" Neo finally asked, his tone light but knowing.

"No," she replied absentmindedly.

"I see," he nodded, pretending not to notice her pinkish cheek. "How about you try the other one? It would be less of hassle when transforming."
