Corvin’s fingers were already moving over a hidden glyph beneath the table, ready to spring into action.

But Vale’s voice stopped him...

"Don’t. Please let me handle this... It’s for the free fruit."

Corvin chuckled. "You sure? They’re not going to talk this out—"

"I’ll handle it." Vale stood slowly and brushed the folds of his cloak aside.

His expression was calm, but there was already a killing intent in his eye—one Corvin hadn’t seen before.

Well, Vale didn’t miss their killing intent. Since they planned to kill him, they should expect to be killed as well.

The two enforcers approached without hesitation and Vale observed them calmly.

One of them had twin sickles while the other was simply cracking his knuckles as black smoke coiled around his fists.

"Last warning," growled the sickle-wielder. "This doesn’t concern you."

Vale just stepped forward.

In that instant, everything changed.

The air around him swiftly dropped in temperature.

The leaves on the nearby trees trembled. Even the weapons held by the so-called Enforcers started giving off a soft hum from the pressure that Vale was emitting.

This was not an Immortal Spell or any known Arcane Spell.

It was simply Vale’s terrifying Divinity...

Although the Half-Immortals also had Divinity on their own, they simply couldn’t compare to Vale’s level.

The two enforcers halted.

"You—You’re not just some courier, are you?" said the one with smoky fists. Seeing Vale’s cold expression, he felt suddenly unsure about his plan to attack.

However, Vale didn’t answer.

Instead, he vanished.

In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance, almost like a single step. It was faster than any of them could track.

A solid crack echoed as his open palm slammed into the chest of the smoke-fisted enforcer...

This move folded him in half and launched him backward through the air.

The enforcer crashed into a tree with such force that the bark exploded and the trunk split vertically before toppling.

"Six against one," he said evenly. "Your odds are already poor. Turn back. Now."

Of course, Vale didn’t have any plans to let them escape. He just wanted to see how desperate these Half-Immortals are.

The lead enforcer narrowed his eyes. ’He’s an Immortal. Damn it...’

He wanted to escape immediately since even with their Artifacts, they might still lose against the young Immortal.

However, the mission given to him was important...

He couldn’t help but look at the woman before turning to his subordinates.

"Use your artifacts! Take him together!" He ordered.

Just like that, three more burst forward...

This time, they used a coordinated flurry of blades, darts, and energy attacks aimed at Vale’s vital points.

’They’re not going down without a fight... Admirable...’ Vale mused.

Still, Vale didn’t need Immortal Spells...

He dodged or blocked all the strikes almost effortlessly, using only his body.

The enforcer tried to yell, but Vale’s other hand clamped his mouth shut!

After that, he pulled him off the girl and then drove him headfirst into the dirt.
