Her other hand wrapped around a table, momentarily stopping Gauss in his tracks.

Gauss cast a weak glance down at her, irritated, and yanked hard. Olivia clung to the table, ignoring the sharp pain burning up her arm.

Blood seeped from her palm, but she refused to let go.

She screamed and cried for help, but the crowd only glanced at her before continuing their activities as if it was nothing new.

Gauss clicked his tongue in annoyance. He walked back before pulling her hand off forcefully. Before Olivia could protest, he threw her over his shoulder.

"Abigail!" she called, but she was nowhere to be seen. Olivia’s stomach churned in panic, tears flooding her eyes.

Thud.

Gauss threw Olivia into the bed. She rushed to sit up. Her eyes blazed.

A stench smell invaded her nostrils. Her nose scrunched up from the strong aroma.

"If I were you, I would stay still. Bummy and Pubby aren’t that nice," he jokingly said, glancing at the two monsters stationed at the entrance of the room.

Olivia’s breath hitched, her body trembling both from fear and anger. The monsters were like nothing she had seen before.

"Bummy is a hellhound monster, currently at level 12..." Olivia glanced at the monster with three heads. Their eyes burned like sulfur. They had one body, like a dog. Their body was covered with muscles. They looked fierce, with saliva dripping from their mouths.

"And Pubby is very grumpy. They have a bad temper and tend to take a bite of anyone close to them," he said with a smile, his hand slowly unbuttoning his clothes.

Olivia felt like she was having a heart attack. The monster named Pubby had the body of a bear. Its face was nothing but a bear skeleton. It had no eyes, just empty sockets. Its body was covered with brown fur.

Pubby let out a low growl, his skeletal jaw cracking as it twitched.

Her wide, terrified eyes snapped to Gauss, who was already stripping with the hunger of a beast. Her heartbeat thundered like a war drum in her chest. She crawled back, protecting herself with her arms around her body.

"To think I will have to make love with a Flame Bearer is almost like a myth. A fairytale. But here you are, right in my bed," a thick laugh rumbled from his throat.

Olivia’s body went stiff. He knew about her identity. How did he know?

She knew that instant she was in deep trouble. She tried to conjure her powers, but nothing came out.

"They say sleeping with a Flame Bearer grants power beyond imagination... and I intend to find out. Don’t worry I will treat you nice, my treasure" he asked, his eyes gleaming with anticipation and greed.

"Stay away," she screamed, throwing a pillow at him.

"Hehehehehe," his laugh echoed in the room as his eyes locked on her like a predator eyeing its prey.

"I will make it quick, hehe," he climbed the bed. Olivia’s eyes widened in horror. It was better to face the monsters than him. She had fought with higher-ranked monsters before. She was sure she could handle them. Even if she tried dying, at least she knew she’d die with her dignity intact.

As she raced down the bed towards the monsters, a hand suddenly pulled her back into the bed. Gauss pinned her hands above her head. Olivia tried to fight back, but it was like she was burning her strength. The feeling of helplessness burned through her veins.

"Don’t be hasty, dear. Your powers have already been suppressed the moment you stepped into this world. So no matter what you do, it is useless. And don’t think anyone is coming to save your ass. I have already taken care of Abigail, so she won’t disrupt our time. Now stay still."

"What did you do to Abigail?" Olivia’s eyes burned. Her lips quivered.

"Nothing you should worry about," he said, his hand ripping off her clothes.

Olivia cried out, her eyes burning. Before Gauss could fathom the next thing, Olivia bumped her head against his nose.

"F**k!"

His grip over her loosened. He touched his nose, blood staining his fingers. His nose flared.

Olivia tried to escape, but Gauss yanked her hair, pulling her back.

A cry escaped from her lips. Before she could fathom the next thing, he was already on top of her.

Her heart sank down her chest. She had bled, fought, trained to escape this exact feeling of helplessness. And now, when it mattered most, she was just a trembling girl again. Her powers are going to fail her? Now of all times?

She would rather die than to be used like this. Pain surged inside her as if her heart was being pricked by thousands of hot needles.

Gauss laughed. His lips hovered close to hers, heavy with intent.

"ARGHHHHH!" Olivia yelled from the bottom of her soul.

......

"You can go now," Lucian muttered, his eyes distant, already tracing her scent. The stranger vanished into the crowd without a word.

"Olivia," he muttered. His feet began to trace after her scent. He stopped midway when he saw a commotion.

He knew that face. It was Olivia’s friend. "Abigail," he walked to her.

Two men were trying to drag her away. Lucian stopped them and almost punched Abigail.

"What is going on here?" His cold and stern voice momentarily stopped the men. His eyes landed on Abigail, who was holding onto a pole. "Where is Olivia?"

Abigail burst into tears when she saw him. "Don’t worry about me... get Olivia... she is in trouble," she said, finally letting go.

Lucian’s eyes flickered gold. "Will you be okay?" he asked, his eyes glancing at the men.

"Yes. I’ll be waiting outside...." Abigail didn’t finish her sentence when Lucian took to his heels, dashing off into the crowd.

Abigail stared in disbelief. "Let go of me, I know the way out," she barked at them. ’I hope he can save you, Olivia,’ she thought inwardly before heading out of the underground world.

Lucian halted before the door, golden flames swirling in his eyes. His veins pulsed beneath his skin, his rage boiling over. He was seconds from tearing the room apart.
