Chapter 11: Begin stockpiling.

Step one in stockpiling was finding a place where all the supplies would be sent. A large factory or a warehouse and she knew just the place.

Two years ago, a group of students, under the leadership of a professor at her university had banded together and pulled together their savings to build a factory that produce new energy vehicles.

The professor had died of a heart attack just after the factory was built. His family had not been interested in continuing the project and they pulled out all their money. The students did not have enough capital to keep the project going and the whole thing had been abandoned.

The factory was sitting on large piece of land at the edge of the city near a forest. The students owned the land, but they did not use it. They had been trying to sell it, but nobody was interested in acquiring it as of yet. So, it was up for rent.

Sunshine drove to the factory, enjoying the very last day of good weather that they would see in a long while. The two weeks of normal rain starting tomorrow did not count as good weather in her books.

Despite all that was coming, she found the energy to sing and bop her head along to the music she was playing. Frankly, she was in a great mood and when she pulled up to the factory one and a half hours later, that mood was still stable.

Just as she expected, the area was quiet and mostly isolated. The land had been fenced off, weeds had grown all around, ivy was climbing up the walls. The gate was rusted and old.

Two men were keeping guard and when she looked at them, Sunshine drooled over the guns they were carrying.

One was middle aged, wearing sunglasses on top of his head and smoking. The other was young, well-built and his eyes were observant. He had the aura and appearance of a soldier.

"Trespassers are not allowed here." the older one said.

Sunshine pointed at their guns. "How much for your weapons?"

"Not for sale." He answered.

Sunshine was disappointed but she shrugged. "How much to rent the place?"

"Ten..." the younger one started but the older one cut him off very quickly.

He blew smoke out of his mouth and said, "Twenty-five thousand dollars a month."

Sunshine had come with cash. It was not her money but money that she had "stolen/borrowed" from her aunt and uncle. Some, she had even found in Moon’s bedroom the previous day. She has done her own search just after she discovered the missing lottery ticket.

She had not found the lottery ticket, but she found eighty-seven thousand dollars and ten cents altogether and she had taken all of it. The jewelry as well and other precious things.

"I will give you fifty thousand if you protect this place well." She told them.

The old man opened his mouth and smiled widely, exposing yellow teeth to which nicotine stuck like a plaster.

The younger man frowned however, he was more wary. "Why are you offering us so much money?"

"To do your job well." She replied in a flat, tough voice.

She handed over the money and the eager older man gave her the key card to the doors of the factory, and she walked inside.

The grounds were littered with unfinished cars that had been partially assembled and abandoned. Some had rusted and others had lost their color.

[Host, the system has detected items in need of repair. Do you wish to take them in?]

"No." She responded without the slightest pause.

If she took in the cars outside, the guards would notice and start prying into her business. She had a feeling that they would do the same when she started using the place. But she had a plan. She would take away supplies and leave behind empty boxes.

Inside the factory, she found more unfinished cars, assembling lines and various equipment. Before the system alerted her, she took all of those things into her space.

As long as she fixed up the cars, she would get points. If she upgraded them, she would have cars that could be used in the apocalypse.

"Indeed, good things happen to those that are good."

After taking care of that business, she set out for the nearest factories to start ordering for supplies in bulk.

Back at the Quinn manor, specifically the house where the Raine couple lived, three people were experiencing disbelief. They had all slept in the main manor and only returned to their small house this morning.

To their surprise, their rooms had been turned over as if thieves had passed through in the night. Just as Moon had smashed Sunshine’s things, Sunshine had paid back the favor in kind.

She had taken away what she could and what she couldn’t, she destroyed. Some of Moon’s favorite clothes and shoes had taken a trip in toilet water.

"It’s all gone," Rowena sobbed, "All of it, all my necklaces, my watches, my....." She fell onto the mattress, unable to remain standing on her trembling legs.

Moon was crying as well. "Mom, she took my ten thousand dollars and my jewelry, and she put my clothes in the toilet."

Dustin Raine run to the kitchen to check inside the safe where he kept gold bars, a diary in which he wrote down the secrets of the Quinn’s which he had learned over the years, documents and fifty thousand dollars in cash. He was sure that nobody knew where the safe was or what was inside.

He emptied out a cabinet which had old cups, relieved because it seemed they were untouched. But when he opened the safe, it was empty!

Sunshine had taken everything.

"Sunshine..." He bellowed like a thundering sky.

Meanwhile, Sunshine was at a rice factory, ordering for tons of rice that would feed a small city for at least six years. "White, red, black, wild, brown, glutinous, jasmine, give me everything you have. I want two hundred thousand sacks of rice altogether."

"All this rice? What do you need all this for and in such large quantities?" The factory manager asked as he ticked them off.

"For eating of course." She drew her head back, looking at him as if he had asked a foolish question. "I want rice flour, rice noodles, rice cakes, rick milk and syrup and rice snacks."

"Ma’am, your bill is going to be close to four and a half million dollars." The manager said, unsure if she could afford it.

He looked over, eyes roaming over Sunshine’s body from head to toe. She was dressed like a mechanic with a pretty face and nice tits.

Sunshine unfolded the tool bet and retrieved the limitless black card, holding it up with a smirk on her face. The card had a silver lining that glinted when the sun reflected on it. It begged for attention, and attention it got.

Black cards were like the holy grail. Only the one percent of their population carried them.

"Is that real?" the manager asked.

"Swipe and you will know." She answered.

He cleaned both of his hands on his trousers like he was afraid of dirtying the card. He led Sunshine to the accounting office, and she made her payment.

"Your goods will be delivered in three days." The manager said.

Sunshine shook her head. "Today. Put everything aside and work on my order first."

"We cannot there is an order...." The manager started.

"Did I mention that I am Mrs. Quinn." She opened the tool belt and brought out her marriage license with the picture of her and Hades.

"Your goods will be delivered before 4:00 p.m. Mrs. Quinn." The manager assured her.

Sunshine nodded and left. As she was driving away, her heart was beating fast. Never had she spent close to five million on a purchase in her life.

It was nice being rich. It was even nicer, being the rich Mrs. Quinn.
