While the military leaders were fidgeting about offending a god of death who couldn’t be offended, the said god of death was currently making out with his girlfriend.

They had started off talking about serious matters concerning the settlement of the soldiers and the launch of the sect once the rains stopped and the unnecessary people left.

With Chu Miao lying on Ye Xuan’s lap and Ye Xuan caressing her hair, one thing led to another and they were now entangled on the sofa with Chu Miao on her back and Ye Xuan on top of her.

Chu Miao’s hands were in his hair, tagging and pulling while Ye Xuan kissed her like there was no tomorrow.

It was as if he were a dog marking his territory. The truth was, even though he knew that Chu Miao would not change her mind about being with him, the gazes those soldiers gave her when they first saw her bothered him.

It felt as if someone had invaded his territory and that feeling was not good. He felt the need to feel her and mark her making sure that everyone knew she was his.

However, such efforts only comforted him psychologically because after leaving his house, nobody would really see her except her family.

However, this did not stop Ye Xuan from marking what was his. One of his hands sneaked under Chu Miao’s top, touching the smooth skin on her stomach, which made her shudder.

This was the first intimate contact with a man where he touched her body directly. The sensation was different from how it felt when he touched her through her clothes.

Feeling the girl below him tremble, Ye Xuan paused what he was doing and lifted his head to look at her.

"If you want me to stop, just tell me and I will not continue." Ye Xuan said as he looked at the girl with misty eyes.

He could tell she was already half aroused. But even though he wanted to be intimate with her, he would still not go all the way.

Instead of replying with words, Chu Miao pulled Ye Xuan’s head down and kissed him again. That was all the answer Ye Xuan was waiting for.

His hand moved further up and cupped a breast wrapped in a bra and started kneading. He could feel how the girl below him first stiffened, then soon went so soft as if she had no bones.

A moan escaped her mouth and her hands in his hair tagged more fiercely. Instead of feeling pain, Ye Xuan felt his hormones spike and he almost lost control and undressed her.

But he was afraid that if he started taking off her clothes, he wouldn’t be able to control himself from taking her. That was something he wanted to avoid for the time being.

Even though Ye Xuan continued to kiss her and caress her body with fervor, Chu Miao could tell that he was holding back. He was restraining himself from taking the next step.

She didn’t understand why he did that since she was already letting him take whatever he wanted. However, she knew that he must have his reasons for doing that.

Hence, she decided to wait for him until he was ready. She didn’t think it was because he had another woman, either physically or in his heart. She was sure that she was the first woman he had been with.

Therefore, the problem was something else and it was definitely not down there as she could feel the thing poking her thighs as if it wanted to drill a hole in them.

The two were in this heated moment when a scream tore through the entire building almost shaking its foundation.

They both stopped at the same time and stayed still, listening to find out where the scream came from. Soon, another louder scream followed, and with their spiritual energy, they followed the sound waves to the twelfth floor.

That was the same floor where Yang Leo and his family lived. Thinking of this, both of them stood up almost simultaneously.

Ye Xuan helped Chu Miao tidy up her clothes and hair and after making sure that she was well covered, he held her hand.

The two no longer needed words to communicate their intentions. Chu Miao immediately understood what he meant and teleported to the corridor of the twelfth floor instantly.

The two appeared in front of others like ghosts. While others had gotten used to this, the soldiers still felt their hearts skip a bit when they saw this.

The corridor was already crowded with some soldiers from the thirteenth floor who heard the scream and responded immediately.

Yang Leo and his family were also there.

They were looking at the apartment opposite their own.

This was the apartment where that unreasonable woman who had tried to swindle Chu Miao and Ye Xuan of their supplies lived. She was also the woman Yang Leo had kicked some time ago.
