Both of them were inexperienced, but Ye Xuan had the instincts of a wolf. He didn’t need a teacher. He knew what to do from instinct.

Feeling the girl in his arms become restless, he stopped what he was doing. He didn’t want to escalate things to the point of no return.

This was not the place or the time for any more things to happen between them. He didn’t want to take advantage of her vulnerability and do something they might both regret in the future.

He wanted her to be ready to take their relationship to the next step in case something did happen between them.

Touching his forehead with hers, he closed his eyes to enjoy the feeling of closeness and trust between them.

He was aware that something as important as the space ring could not be shown to just anybody. It was because the family and his girlfriend trusted him enough with their lives that she showed him the space.

Because of this level of trust, he swore in his heart to always protect his girlfriend and her family and also protect all the secrets with his life.

He also was aware that while the prophecy might have encouraged Chu Miao to protect humanity against the apocalypse it could not force her to do the same.

But, from the way they were taking in new team members it was obvious that they intended to fulfill the prophecy and protect humanity and modern civilization.

"You can count on me for whatever you are doing. If you want to climb mountains of swords or swim in a sea of fire, please let me know and I will join you." Ye Xuan reassured Chu Miao as he moved his hand from her breast to hold her arm.

The small friction created by the movement made Chu Miao shiver. She was really too sensitive to this man’s touch.

She had never expected to be someone who could be so sexually aroused by a simple touch. However, she realized that she was falling harder in love with her boyfriend every single day.

She didn’t mind such a feeling. After all, not many people can find their soulmates in their lifetimes. She had a feeling of Dèjá vu when their intimate contact became a little too intimate.

She didn’t understand why since that was the first time she had been so close and so intimate with a man. But, she had stopped wondering about things that she couldn’t make sense of. So she pushed this feeling to the back of her mind.

"Okay." Chu Miao replied with a smile.

Now she was sure more than ever that she had made the right decision when she accepted his pursuit and became his girlfriend.

She didn’t mind if anything happened between them because she had just made the bold decision to be with him for the rest of her life.

For her, there can never be someone else and she sure as hell would make sure that there was no one else for him either.

"Let’s go outside. I’ll show you what it looks like outside." Chu Miao said as she stood up to lead him outside.

When they teleported to the soul ring, they had appeared inside the courtyard living room.

There was no one in the soul ring as everyone was outside in the real world taking a break.

"We’ve already been here for about ten minutes, if we don’t go back soon, won’t the others start to wonder where we are? Moreover, we haven’t seen auntie to tell her about Grandpa’s instructions." Ye Xuan thought it was better to first finish the duties at hand before taking a tour of the place.

"Don’t worry, even though we’ve only been here for 10 minutes, outside the space ring, we haven’t been gone for a minute. If we stay here for about an hour, it will be 10 minutes outside, so don’t worry." Chu Miao comforted him.

"What are you saying?" Ye Xuan asked with shock once more as they walked out the door.

"Time here flows differently. 10 minutes is equivalent to 1 hour on the outside, and 1 hour here is equal to 6 hours outside. So if we spend 20 minutes outside, it’s the same as 2 hours here.

So we can take a short tour of the place. It won’t take more than 10 minutes, we will be out in a jiffy." Chu Miao said with a light laugh as she watched Ye Xuan’s face change several times from shock, to surprise, to excitement, and finally back to calm.

This was the first time she had seen such a reaction from him.

"That has a lot of advantages." Ye Xuan said. Thinking that if he cultivated here the results will be twice with half the effort.

"Yes, so I will be bringing you in here a lot in the future when you want to enter seclusion.

Here half a month of seclusion is only three or four days outside. Moreover, the spiritual energy here is denser as well." Chu Miao went on parroting as they left the living room and headed straight to her bedroom.

"That could help me become stronger faster. And indeed, I have noticed the difference in spiritual energy here. Denser than any I have ever felt." Ye Xuan stated as he followed behind his girlfriend without asking any further questions.

Pushing open the door, Chu Miao led Ye Xuan into a room with ancient decorations and a simple set up. The bed was made of unknown material, but the mattress seemed to have been changed to a modern one.

There was also a vanity near the bed with a larger mirror, but from the rest of the furniture, the mirror was in the wrong era. So, it was obvious that it had been changed too. Unlike the expected bronze mirror, it was a clear mirror like those used in this era.

Nevertheless, whoever did the change was an expert as they made it look like it was the original one.
