When the Yang family saw the fresh vegetables and fruits, they even forgot to be polite and stood up abruptly.

People had been too used to seeing fresh food in the market and took it for granted. But after going for weeks without seeing a single green leaf in their bowls, they now knew how to appreciate food.

No one would joke with any food anymore. Seeing how excited the family was, Chu Miao said goodbye and followed her brother out. Yang Leo walked them to the door and apologized for his family’s reaction to which the siblings dismissed.

"You go take the things to Chichi’s house, I need to go back and talk to Ye Xuan before going back home." Chu Miao said and then ’poof’ she vanished like smoke.

Chu Hao had gotten used to such situations and didn’t think much of it, but Yang Leo was still not accustomed to the act of a human being disappearing into thin air.

He took a deep breath and asked, "Why does she always do that?"

Chu Hao looked at him and understood. He remembered what had happened the first time he saw her teleport.

"The first time she teleported it was from her bedroom to the living room. I was sitting on the sofa talking to the elders in the family when she popped up next to me.

I nearly had a heart attack. But you get used to it after she appears out of nowhere even in your room and disappears like what you saw a few times. I got used to it."

Yang Leo couldn’t imagine someone appearing out of thin air without a sound and sitting next to him. He would probably suffer a very serious heart attack.

"Okay, I have to go take the things to Chichi. See you around." Chu Hao said goodbye and walked towards the stairs.

Teleporting back to Ye Xuan’s apartment, Chu Miao didn’t spend much time there, after a little alone time together, she went home.

The next morning, she appeared at Ye Xuan’s door at exactly 6:00 in the morning. Since they had planned to go early and probably wait for Qi Long and the rest of the team at the agreed spot, they might as well arrive earlier.

Ye Xuan opened the door a minute after she arrived. He didn’t invite her inside and instead held her face in his large hands and gave a deep lingering kiss before letting go.

She found it funny how sometimes he acts all protective like a father, then he would become the perfect boyfriend next.

"Sure." Replied Chu Miao.

Once Ye Xuan was done locking the door, Chu Miao took his hand and teleported to the third floor near the window they had used the previous day.

Standing next to the window and looking outside, she marveled at how nature could turn a perfectly good city into an ocean.

At the moment, the water was only a meter away from reaching the window compared to yesterday’s two meters. In one night, the water had risen by another meter.

At this rate, the flood water would reach the seventh floor in a few days. She started to worry about Chichi’s situation. She had to find a way to move her before the water rose too much.

Taking a deep breath, she stopped thinking about unnecessary things at the moment and focused on the job on hand.

"Do you know how to use spiritual power to step on water? Like floating?" She asked as she looked at Ye Xuan?

"I haven’t tried it before." Ye Xuan replied calmly, but actually he wasn’t that calm.
