Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes -
Chapter 176: Sixth One
Chapter 176: Sixth One
"I don’t want to intrude, but what exactly do we need to do?" Arthur asked suddenly, his jet-black eyes watching Atlas curiously.
"I don’t understand," Atlas asked.
"The moment we arrived at this academy, we were registered as students. Those of us who are older were assigned to certain tasks. We are grateful, but what should we do? After everything we’ve been through, everything feels so... dreamlike, brother," Arthur said suddenly.
Atlas noticed his heart racing twice as fast the moment he heard the term ’brother.’. Regardless of his current life or the life before returning to the past, Arthur had called him that again.
Atlas paused for a few seconds.
It hadn’t snowed in the north for a long time. The sunlight streaming through the window hit Atlas’s eyes, and he was thinking.
After a very short time, he uttered the word that shattered the hearts of the three Sages and Irene in the room:
"Live."
When Atlas said this word, Arthur shook his head in surprise and then asked, "Live?"
"Whatever you do. Whatever step you take. Whichever path you choose. Never leave those beside you and live no matter what. That is what you must do, Arthur. Live." Atlas replied.
With that, the group talked for a long time.
Atlas especially emphasised to Cassandra and the others that Arthur and Helena needed to be properly trained, but to be honest, Atlas wasn’t sure if he wanted to call them in during battle.
It was like a kind of trauma; he didn’t want to see them die again.
When the conversation ended, Atlas returned to his room to continue his training. Even if he were to seriously research it now, he didn’t know how to find the Life Stone. That was precisely why the only thing he could do was continue his training.
While Juliet stayed in the room with him, the remaining Sages searched every corner of the world. The fact that there was a possibility of finding the Life Stone in some way had driven each of them to do so.
When Atlas resumed his training, he immediately realised that he needed to add another spell circle. Normally, he would have developed his aura level, but the only reason he didn’t was because the pill he had taken had already strengthened his body.
Since increasing his aura level actually took longer, he wanted to create the sixth magic ring at a speed that would take less than a week, so he could make it in time for the birthday party he wanted to attend.
Creating the fifth magic ring had taken almost half an hour, which was extremely fast. Normally, it would take days for someone to do this for the first time. Of course, no one else was doing this process for the second time like Atlas.
The fact that there was a significant difference between the fifth and sixth magic rings explained why the time had taken so long, even for Atlas.
After telling Juliet what to do, Atlas took a deep breath as if nothing had happened and sat down on the ground again, placing a pillow beneath him and assuming the lotus position.
He began the process immediately after closing his eyes.
Atlas had already made a major breakthrough in space. Even if he couldn’t fully control the element, it was normal for him to be able to use it to a certain extent. 8 Sacred Flames, Time, Space and Reality.
Atlas already had an affinity for two of these four powers.
To be clear, even though he had an affinity for the space element, it was true that he couldn’t use it to its full potential. Even if he didn’t know it, the fact that he possessed this much power was a huge shock to the gods and goddesses.
What he wanted now was to be in a position to increase his affinity for the space element of the sixth magic ring, even if it was greedy. He needed something that could DIRECTLY increase this ability.
After all, it was impossible for him to control this element solely with his own affinity.
He continued the process he had started immediately after closing his eyes, and thus a week passed very quickly.
Atlas did not get what he wanted, but at least he managed to create the sixth magic ring.
The sixth magic ring shone golden. It was the light element. After Juliet congratulated him, she noticed the sadness on Atlas’s face, and to be honest, Juliet didn’t even try to say or ask anything.
It was obvious that the Ancient Woman did not want to pull Atlas’s chin.
After a quick shower, Atlas took Juliet’s hand, and the two teleported to the front of Cordelia’s room. Without hesitation, they entered and found several gift packages on the table in the middle of the room, and saw that the top package was from Eva.
The Sages were sitting on the chairs around the table, wearing big smiles on their faces. It was as if none of them cared about the Life Stone, which was supposed to be the end of the world. Each of them was focused on Atlas’s 17th birthday at that moment.
Irene was standing behind Bellatrix, smiling.
"Happy birthday, Atlas," said Irene with a smile.
Atlas, though embarrassed, showed his joy and opened the gift Eva had sent, finding a brooch inside the package.
"A magnolia brooch..." Atlas said to himself, smiled, and immediately pinned the brooch to his robe. This time, there was no letter. The magnolia symbolises love, dignity, humility, and purity. It is also associated with intuition, inner peace, self-knowledge, loyalty, and devotion.
"Gosh, you siblings really love each other," Bellatrix had said suddenly.
"Of course, should we hate each other? She is my big sis, we chill like that." Atlas had asked jokingly.
Immediately afterwards, he focused on the gift below, then on another one. After a short while, he opened all the gifts and had a wonderful time with all the Sages and his dear friend Irene after receiving dozens of valuable items.
The next day, the real event began. Cassandra suddenly asked Atlas if he wanted to see the duchy, which was largely completed.
Atlas, of course, answered "yes."
It seemed like a short "holiday" had arrived... Of course, even a holiday could turn into hell for them.
