Chapter 174: God’s Plan Is On It’s Way

When everything settled down, all the Sages managed to breathe deeply, and Cordelia, like the others, let herself fall to the ground and lay down comfortably.

"I don’t know who you are, I’ve never heard your voice before, but thank you for your help, holy Goddess," Cordelia said suddenly.

Even though Cordelia didn’t know it, chaos had erupted in the sacred realm. The reason was that everyone was constantly arguing about how to help Atlas. Still, in a moment of silence, she noticed the gaze of Selene, who was considered Nyx’s niece.

This was the biggest factor in the help being provided.

The pill Selene had sent was actually just one of the pills that the gods and goddesses rarely used but occasionally chose to use to stabilise their own energy. To be clear, it was an ordinary pill that had little effect on the sacred bodies of the gods and goddesses, but it could be different for a human.

That was why Selene had thought to send this pill directly.

Sometimes, they all forgot that Atlas was just a human. Even before they learned that he had travelled back in time, the responsibilities Atlas had taken upon himself were too great for a single person, let alone an ordinary human.

"Well done, Selene," Nyx said.

Selene didn’t know what to say. The ancient goddess just looked happy. Like everyone else, she was glad that Atlas was safe.

When she heard these words, Selene bowed her head gently.

Hermes, on the other hand, had begun to prepare. To be precise, the reason for his preparation was clear to everyone.

Atlas’s request... his plea had, of course, been accepted by the God of Swiftness himself.

He was trying to stabilise his power as much as possible. Of course, he was many times more powerful than the angels, even the archangels themselves. After all, Hermes was a god. That was the main reason he was trying to stabilise his power and keep it under serious control.

Hermes... was simply millions of times more powerful than the angels, including Archangel Michael himself.

The fact that gods and goddesses could not physically help the world, except in situations where they could bless and choose warriors for themselves, as in the cases of Camellya and Aster, pushed them into the background.

This was, after all, an action directly prohibited by Chaos itself.

Still, there was no known prohibition against anyone travelling to another realm. Because such a prohibition did not exist. There were two reasons for this. The first was that Chaos did not care about anything as long as the world was left untouched, and the second was that there was no one powerful enough to traverse realms.

Still, perhaps there was someone whom Chaos had already foreseen or had truly overlooked.

Hermes had the power to run through not only galaxies but even realms themselves.

When he passed from the sacred realm where the gods and goddesses existed to the angels’ false paradise, there would be no one who could touch Hermes.

Hermes could simply walk from realm to realm, waving his hands as if nothing were there, enter the cage where Michael was imprisoned, and break the lock with his bare hands before returning.

The rest would be up to Michael.

Even if they were fake, the gates of heaven and hell could only be opened by those who had complete control over those regions. That was why passages that were contrary to their existence and, therefore, to reality had been attempted to be opened through numerous massacres or mind control.

Only two individuals could directly open these two gates:

[Archangel Michael and Fallen Angel Lucifer.]

And these individuals would not relinquish their control over that peculiar "existence" where the dominion of heaven and hell resided unless they were defeated in a one-on-one duel.

That is why the agreements between the High Demons and the Archangels had come into existence.

Whoever hunted the greater one, whoever reached a higher score, that angel would become the new owner of heaven, and that demon would become the new owner of hell.

When their eyes returned to the world, the Sages had regained their senses and could be seen with their own eyes. They had been waiting for Atlas to awaken.

When Atlas awoke, everything was explained to him.

To put it plainly, the aura and mana energies in Atlas’s body had reached such an ENORMOUS point that he could no longer walk properly.

Every step he took seemed to shatter the ground beneath him. For this very reason, even though it was an incredibly embarrassing position, Cassandra had tried to carry him in her arms.

When Atlas expressed his discomfort with the situation, the Sages burst into laughter, and Cordelia began to carry him in the air with her magic.

Atlas had specifically requested that every jewel in the area be removed. The reason was that there were jewel minerals here that no longer existed on Earth. Black Diamond, Tear Pearl Diamond, and many others were present here.

Atlas wasn’t particularly interested in the jewels; he just thought he could find a way to use these minerals. Perhaps he could make a gift for his sister or even Cassandra, or carve royal jewels for his uncle Aether and aunt Aelia.

He simply desired to possess these minerals.

After a day of thorough cleaning, the entire group had left the dungeon area and, to ensure that no one else would find it had buried the entire region beneath the earth.

The Sages had completely destroyed the seven massive ice mountains the moment they teleported out of the small teleportation device formed in the cave to the northern polar region.

To ensure that the path to the dungeon would never open again.

Still, something happened that even they didn’t expect.

When the Sages reached the South Pole, where they had taken Atlas with them, they searched for exactly half a month.

At the end of the search, they found the dungeon itself, but... the dungeon was nowhere to be found.

It was unknown how it had happened, but the area where the Sages and Atlas had thought they could enter together was now completely empty.

This was extremely bad news.

The Life Stone at the South Pole might have disappeared.
