Chapter 95: Demonized girl

Immediately, Riven heard that there was a Class B boy with grey hair, he knew something bad was about to happen.

He turned to Robert. "Something terrible is about to happen. You have to tell one of the teachers," Riven said.

Robert was confused as to what was happening and why Riven was suddenly panicking, but before he could ask what was wrong, Riven had shot through the crowd.

Noel immediately followed behind. He didn’t know what was happening, but he knew that he couldn’t allow Riven to go on his own. After all, he had sworn to protect Riven.

Riven ran through the hallway at top speed. He looked behind him when he saw Noel. He gave him a nod and kept running.

’This isn’t supposed to happen. It’s supposed to take place after those three arrive and Sally’s plan was in motion,’ Riven thought.

The grey-haired kid was from the same place as Sally. He had come with her in order to try and make himself seem useful to her.

He was obsessed with Sally—extremely obsessed—and because of that, he would do anything to get her attention. But he lacked the skills needed to stand out.

In the original, he was supposed to cause a fight with Zach after those three that Sally called arrived, and when they did, he got overshadowed by their intense talent and the amount of time they spent with Sally carrying out plans.

He goes berserk after that, his mana twisting with demonic mana, making him go berserk and causing havoc. The havoc he causes was the first part of the major academy event that takes place in the academy.

’If I recall correctly, he should be out in the training yard right now,’ Riven said. He rushed out of the academy and into the training yard.

What he saw made his eyes widen in shock. He took a step back in fear. Noel also came to a halt when he saw it as well.

At the center of the training yard was a girl. She had jet-black hair, her eyes pulsed with a purple energy, and purple veins showed all over her face and skin.

Her breathing was extremely heavy and scattered. She was clawing at her chest with all her strength. Her fingers were unusually long and black. She had ripped her uniform into shreds.

"Who is that?" Noel asked.

"I wish I knew," Riven said.

’I don’t understand. What the hell is going on? Everything that happened was supposed to lead to the grey-haired boy, not this girl,’ Riven thought.

He was entirely confused right now, but one thing was sure—that girl was definitely being corrupted with demonic energy right now. She would soon turn into a full monster.

"We have to stop her. She is going to turn into a demonized if we don’t do something," Riven said.

"But she is a student. We can’t just take her out like that," Noel said.

The girl suddenly looked at both of them. She let out a terrifying roar and charged at them, running like a wild beast.

"Seems like we don’t have a choice," Riven said. They both moved out of the way before she got there, going in opposite directions.

"We can’t use techniques or mana, remember? Mr. Quin instructed us not to," Noel said.

"Yeah, I don’t think he knew something like this would happen. But regardless, we just have to hold her back till the teachers get here. There might be a way for them to turn her back," Riven said.

In reality, he knew there was no way, and this would only end with the girl dead or captured, but he couldn’t tell that to Noel.

The girl chased after Riven. She leaped into the air and came down with a full-powered slash. He pulled out his sword from his pouch instantly and blocked the attack.

Boom. The collision shook the air, and he was immediately thrown back. He slammed into the ground but immediately got up.

She came in with a flurry of powerful attacks. He blocked all the attacks, but he kept getting pushed back. Noel attacked from behind. He leaped into the air and slashed downward.

But it seemed the girl could sense her environment somehow. She turned all of a sudden to block his attack. She used her claws to block it and then pushed him back. He flipped and landed on one knee.

She charged at Noel, slashing at his neck. He blocked the attack and used his leg to kick her right in the gut. The kick sent her flying backward, but she landed on her feet.

By this time, some students and instructors were rushing toward the scene. Riven thought it was already over. With instructors here, there was no way she would be able to fully transform.

But he was wrong. Out of nowhere, a large magical circle formed around the entire training ground, and a black dome formed out of it, blocking everyone that was outside from entering and those inside from leaving.

"Shit, this is bad," Riven said.

"This is a magical barrier. We might be on our own for a while here," Noel said.

What both of them didn’t know was that those outside the dome could see what was happening inside the dome, but those inside couldn’t see outside at all.

Somewhere in the academy, inside an empty classroom, Sally slammed the grey-haired kid into the wall, her eyes burning with fury.

"Ray, what the hell did you do?" she asked, her eyes burning with anger. She squeezed his neck as if she wanted to snap it.

He struggled to breathe, tapping her hand, trying to make her let go. She finally did. He fell to the ground wheezing. He coughed a bit before finally being able to speak.

"I wanted you to see that I was capable of doing a lot, and we don’t need any help here," he said, his eyes shining, expecting some sort of praise from her.
