An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me
Chapter 129: Rising Phoenix

Chapter 129: Rising Phoenix

Lance pushed himself back up. He touched his back—a massive scar was bleeding out. The rage in his eyes was evident. He gripped his sword, turned, and looked at Robert.

"Why? Why are you rooting for that firsthand fucking wannabe? He is here trying to take what belongs to me.

You know it too. I’m the one that should be in charge, the leader, and yet you are siding with him?" Lance asked.

"You were never the leader. You’ll never be the leader. You failed—not just in front of us, but in front of me, and the others as well," Robert said and pointed his sword. "This is your last chance, Lance. Stand back. Drop the sword. This is an order from your prince," Robert said.

"Prince? You aren’t a prince in the academy. You are just someone standing in my way," Lance said as he charged forward. Robert frowned when he saw Lance coming.

"You are only a rank ahead of me because I allowed you, because I believed the hero was at least supposed to be the face of the class.

But I was wrong. And because of that, I’ll take you down," Robert said.

"Spare me the bullshit," Lance roared.

Robert didn’t respond. He simply gripped his sword and got into his stance. "Vermilion Family Secret Sword Style: The Rising Phoenix," Robert called out, and a burst of flames erupted from the ground like a tornado with him at the center.

The flames died down, and Robert was nowhere to be seen. Lance looked around. He looked up into the air and saw flames headed for him.

He reacted fast and dodged. The flame slammed into the ground—the blast carved a massive crater.

Lance looked at the crater, and what he saw was not human. It was a flaming monster with a sword. The prince was covered in red flames.

"What... what the hell are you?" Lance asked, but Robert gave no response, only attacked. His speed was so fast that Lance could not react.

Boom.

Lance blocked the attack at the last moment. His body was thrown back so fast he slammed into the fence and broke it down.

Lance stood there in his flaming form, huffing and puffing. This was one of the most powerful techniques of the royal bloodline—one that channels the power of the Vermilion, the power they received at birth.

But this power taxes the body so much that the technique took many years to master, and many royals never mastered it entirely during their lifetime.

Robert was considered a prodigy, but even he could not master such a technique in fourteen years.

But he was able to pull it out when he needed it, though the backlash was immense.

Robert knew his time was running out, so he charged in again, moving faster this time, leaving a trail of flames behind him.

He leapt into the air and slashed down. Lance used his white flames to block the attack, but the sword cut through the flames and slammed into him.

It managed to stop the blade from killing him, but the force he received from the attack was so much he coughed up blood.

Robert dropped his sword aside and went in with a punch. He followed with another one, and another. He kept going, his fists both damaging and burning Lance’s face—but he didn’t stop.

He kept going until his flames stopped, and even then he kept punching.

"You think you’re some big shot because the goddess chose you?" Robert asked before punching again.

"You think you can just decide to be a pain in the ass? You think I’ll just allow you to do what you want?"

Robert kept punching as he roared, his fists already bloody from Lance’s face.

"That’s enough, it’s enough!" Jack rushed over and pulled Robert off Lance.

Lance was on the ground, a bloody mess, no longer moving.

"Screw you," Robert let out one final insult. He pushed Jack off him and started walking away.

"Hahahahahahahah! You all don’t get it, do you? I’m the one who will save this world—and if you don’t allow me, I’ll have to take all of you to your grave," Lance suddenly spoke from the ground.

"Amaterasu!" he called out. The light shot out, and the god appeared in its glory. They all stared at it, along with all the other students that were there.

Lance didn’t waste a single moment and immediately slashed downward, his massive sword coming toward them. Everyone immediately scattered, running away. The blade struck the ground and caused a massive explosion.

Far away in the forest, Quin suddenly felt a massive surge of energy. He looked in the direction of the academy, trying to figure it out.

"Don’t look away when fighting me," Sally said. She charged toward him at a crazy pace, but rather than fight her, he twisted his sword and slashed.

An invisible wave shot out. It was so massive that it was unavoidable. It blasted through the forest, ripping the ground and the trees, carrying Sally along in the wave. She struggled, but the force was too much.

Just one attack had caused a massive gap in the forest and threw her back.

Quin locked in on the location and ran toward it. He was so fast that the trees beside him were ripped up into bits.

In the rubble from his wave attack, Sally dug her way out. She spat out the dirt in her mouth and looked in the direction that Quin had run off to.

"So that’s his true power... I guess defeating him will take far more than just my strength. I didn’t think I would have to use this so soon," she said and brought out a red crystal. She stared at it for a few seconds and then shoved it down her throat. She swallowed it whole.

After a few seconds, she fell to her knees coughing, until she fell to the ground unconscious.
