An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me -
Chapter 101: Relations
Chapter 101: Relations
Mia looked at Riven. There was a slight look of disbelief on her face, but she understood that everyone had their secrets, so she didn’t dig.
"Since you’ll be serving me for a week, let’s head into the capital tomorrow. I’ve wanted to take a look around, but I haven’t gotten a chance to," Riven said.
"Only you and I?" she asked.
"Yeah," he said. He rolled from the bed and landed on his two feet. He stretched a bit and looked at her.
"You can refuse if you don’t want to. I can’t force you," he said.
"There’s no need for that. I have to follow your orders for a week," she responded.
"Then that’s fine. I’m heading back to my room. I think I’ve rested enough," Riven said. He left the infirmary after checking in with Ariel. She confirmed that he was good to go and allowed him.

The next day came and Riven got ready to go out. Sadly, he hadn’t prepared any clothes to wear, so he had to put on his academy uniform.
He left his room and immediately saw Mia standing outside there. She was also in her uniform.
"I see your fashion sense is as crappy as mine," he said.
"It’s functional wear. There’s no need to change it up," she responded.
"Well then, let’s head out," he said and led the way. Riven walked down the stairs expecting the place to be quiet, but he was wrong. He heard some sounds coming from the kitchen and one of the training rooms.
"It seems the dorm is slowly coming to life," Riven said.
"Things like this are not important to us. We should put studying above all," Mia said.
"Learn to live a little. The academy knows this, and that’s why they put all these things for us," Riven said.
"No, they put it all as a trap. They want to make us stop putting in the effort and relax, allowing the lower classes to pass us," she said.
"That’s true and not true at the same time, but it’s a debate for another time. Let’s see who is in the kitchen first," Riven said and walked toward the kitchen.
Mia had no other option but to follow. They got to the kitchen. He pushed the door and walked in. The kitchen was massive with mana-powered appliances.
Immediately he walked in, he saw Lily there. Their eyes locked, and she subconsciously took a step back.
"Hey," Riven greeted, but she turned around, ignored him, and continued what she was doing. Mia saw that and was pissed. She rushed in, but Riven grabbed her hand.
"Why are you holding me back? You greeted her and she ignored you."
"It doesn’t matter, Mia," Riven said.
Mia frowned, but she could see from Riven’s face that he didn’t want to push it, so she walked out and he followed her.
"You are a noble, and even if the academy doesn’t allow the use of status, you should still not allow someone like her to disrespect you," Mia said as she walked.
Riven couldn’t help but hear some care in her voice, like she was really pissed for his sake.
"Are you angry on my behalf?" Riven asked.
"Don’t delude yourself. My relation to you is simply because I want to learn about you for myself.
Honestly, the first time we met, I was influenced by what I had heard and what Liana had told me, so I was quick to judge.
What followed next was the undead wyvern, and it seemed like you tried to save yourself and that was why you ran out.
But yesterday, you fought a demonized. At first I said you had no choice but to do it because you were trapped, but then you allowed yourself to nearly get killed for your brother.
So what I want to find out is the you beyond what they have told me," Mia said. She paused in her steps for a bit before she continued walking.
"I see. I’ll take it. It’s better than that condescending look you normally give," Riven said.
"There is a reason I look down on everyone, but that’s something for me to know," she said and walked out of the dorm.
They headed for the gates of the academy. Since they were on a break, they would be able to leave without an issue, as long as they followed the main path and didn’t go near the forest.
They left the academy and followed the road. The roads were lonely—only the rustling of the trees, the singing of birds, and their footsteps could be heard around there.
"I have a question. Is there a chance that you are doing all this to win back our hearts—the three of us?" Mia asked.
Riven kept walking even after he heard the question. He took a deep breath and then spoke, "At one point, it felt important to make you three like me, but that was a very short phase because I really couldn’t care less.
I’ll be good to anyone that’s good to me, and I’ll take down whoever is against me. It doesn’t matter if you are my fiancée or whoever.
You three have made it abundantly clear that you have no want for this. I won’t call it off, but I don’t care about it," Riven said and kept walking. She paused, looked at Riven for a moment, then continued walking behind him.
’He is entirely different from everything I thought he would be. To add to that, he is stronger than me. If I put aside my unfounded hate for him, I can improve a lot.
The sword is more important than any of my baseless feelings,’ she thought. She followed behind him, and after a while of walking, they made it to the bridge and to the mainland.
They walked through the gate after showing their ID cards. They walked into the capital, and the atmosphere changed instantly.
