Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 96: Annulment of Contract
Chapter 96: Annulment of Contract
"Stop the production of the new pack house. I would like to inspect it myself." That harsh voice she hadn’t heard in a while spoke. It seemed like he was having a meeting with his beta, as they both looked serious.
She wanted to move further into the room but she didn’t want to interrupt their discussion. She found it weird that they didn’t notice her walking in or were they so engrossed in what they were doing?
"Should I resume giving out amenities to our neighboring pack?" Enoch asked.
"Why not?" Damien answered with a question.
"I am sure you know they are rebelling against us?" Enoch pointed out, wanting to know if Damien knew or not. Though there was nothing Damien didn’t know as far as the pack was concerned, at times, it was hard to read his mind.
"I thought I was the bore here, what happened to having fun?" Damien sounded sarcastic as he said those words. Aurora was familiar with his annoying way of teasing people, so it wasn’t new to her.
"I am being serious here," Enoch didn’t look ready for jokes.
"When did we switch personalities?" He further teased him, depriving joy in making fun of Enoch.
Strangely, Aurora found it weird that he suddenly grew playful when she walked in. Could it be that he knew she was here, and didn’t want to talk about confidential matters in her presence?
’Are you being playful because of her?’ Mindlinking Damien, Enoch asked.
’What do you mean?’ Feigning ignorance, Damien retorted.
’We both know she’s been here for over two minutes,’ he pointed out the obvious.
’Yeah, so?’ Damien asked.
’Would you keep on ignoring her?’ The moment Enoch asked, Damien shut him out of the mindlink and looked towards where Aurora was standing.
"Would you keep on standing over there?" He asked calmly, then raised his brow at her questioningly.
"Ohh right, I didn’t want to intrude on your discussion," she sounded confused as she answered. So she was right, he knew she was in the room.
"I will take my leave now," Clearing his throat, Enoch packed his things and dismissed himself out of Damien’s room. Taking that as a cue, Aurora walked further into the room and placed the tray on a table.
Damien had already picked up his phone and was focused on what he was doing. He didn’t even seem affected by her presence or appearance, his eyes were glued to his phone like it was the only thing that existed to him.
"So..I...huh brought you dinner." Stammering, she disclosed and took a step closer to him.
"Why here? I never ordered it to be served in my room?" He asked, standing up to inspect what she brought. Realizing she truly brought his dinner, he meaningfully smirked and walked up to her.
When he was now standing close to her, she started explaining. "I wanted to apologize for disregarding you the other night. I didn’t mean to be ungrateful, I just ahhh....." she trailed off when he suddenly grabbed her by the waist.
"Just what?" Mischievously, he teased, playfully rubbing his nose on her neck.
"I....just....I...you are too close." She grew speechless as his playful acts started growing intense, his tongue lingering on her neck in a sensual way. Okay, maybe wearing the gown was a bad idea at the end. Things were going to fast for her, or was she being over sensitive?
"Didn’t you come here to seduce me in this dress?" He breathed, his grip tightening on her slender waist.
"I came....here to apologize." She denied. Well technically, she was here to apologize but Theresa included the seduction not her.
"Who apologizes in a seducing manner?" He asked and grinned. He was no longer mad at her, and wasn’t planning to ignore her for long but it seemed like she had other plans for him. He could never have imagined her seducing him, she was inexperienced for such. Definitely it had something to do with his mother.
Aurora felt ashamed and couldn’t give any excuse, she just stood still and allowed him to work on her body.
"Well, you succeeded." Saying that, he carried her in a princess style way, and gently laid her on the couch.
"Your dinner, let’s do this later," her heartbeat increased in ten folds, her palms turning sweaty from whatever was coming. Damien wasn’t listening to her anymore, as he had that look of lust and couldn’t wait to devour her.
Taking off his shirt, he hovered over her, positioning himself properly on her body to avoid suffocating her. He raised her chin up and whispered, staring deep into her eyes, "I want to eat you instead, can I?" His gaze were so compelling, his voice alluring that she wanted to agree to his request. She didn’t even have a choice even if she didn’t want him to have her, she had to get pregnant as soon as possible.
She wrapped her hands around his waist and drew him further into her arms, "You can eat me." She then consented.
The surprise was evident on his face upon hearing her response, which actually worried him. Was she agreeing on her will or because of the contract between them?
"Why are you this willing?" He asked, taking her aback. Thinking she had done something wrong, she withdrew her hands and folded them in front of her chest.
He scoffed at how right his suspicions were, she was doing it because she had no choice.
"Wasn’t this what you wanted? I was only being obedient," she answered in a low tone, afraid of offending him again.
"What I want? What about you?" His voice turned cold and he began retracting from her.
"What I want is to fulfill our contract and leave." She answered sincerely but it didn’t sit well with a particular person. Everything went silent, Damien’s back was already against her, his gaze towards the window. She wondered why he cares about what she wants when he has always been imposing everything on her.
He makes decisions for her, gives her little choices, locks her up, yells at her, underestimates her worth in public. Why did he never care about what she wanted then, why now?
"Why do you care what I want?" Finally breaking the silence, she asked.
"Let us annul the contract, I will get the document ready. You can leave the pack after signing it," the shock that swept across her face was alarming, as she hadn’t expected such big news.
"What did you say?" She couldn’t believe what he just said, it felt like she was dreaming. What quickly transpired between them to warrant such a news? She literally spent a month working hard to get pregnant for him.
She was happy, hurt, cried, and now he suddenly wanted to annul the contract after all she went through? It wasn’t like she didn’t want to be free from the clutches of the contract but if he was eventually going to annul it, why start it?
"I figured that’s what you want the most, you would be free soon." He answered.
"I...you forced me into the contract and wasted my time only to make a decision to break it in a minute?" Her anger was apparent as she talked. All her life, she was either used, betrayed, tortured or kicked out and when she thought it was all over and she could get her revenge, she experienced them again.
"Now I am letting you go. You should be happy," he didn’t sound sorry or remorseful for what he did.
"Can we annul the contract tonight?" She steeled her mind and promised herself not to cry over a man’s cruelty again. She could now see that life wasn’t cruel to a specific type of class. Either rich or poor, strong or weak, life would always be cruel to some particular people. She was ready to accept her fate and move on.
"As you wish," he agreed.
Picking up his phone, he made a call through to someone over the phone, and their conversation went this way.
"Hasten the wedding plans, I want to get married in two weeks’ time." He ordered.
"Do not question me and you have an hour to get me the annulment of my contract with Aurora." Then he hung up.
"Satisfied?" He asked once he dropped his phone.
"I would be back in an hour," she decided to excuse herself as she couldn’t bear seeing his face anymore.
"Stay, I will be back." He commanded and left the room.
She took a deep breath and allowed the pain to flow out, she wasn’t going to cry, Never!!
Time went by and it was over an hour but Damien was yet to be back. She grew worried, wondering if she should leave or just keep on waiting. Two hours passed by and he wasn’t yet back, eventually she didn’t know when she slept off.
Kookoorookoo
The sound of a chicken crowing woke Aurora up.
Feeling content from the nice sleep she just had, she stretched and yawned satisfactorily.
She gently rubbed her eyes and looked around her, her eyes darting over the room slowly until she realized where she was.
She jolted up and looked around the room, it was Damien’s room. She could remember sitting on the couch while waiting for him, how did she get to the bed?
