Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 95: Nightgown-like
Chapter 95: Nightgown-like
Charlotte grew anxious as she had been standing for a minute since she left the dressing room, and Dave didn’t move to talk. His eyes spoke volumes as they darted over her in amazement. At first, she wondered if she accidentally interrupted his conversation with the lady standing beside him but it didn’t seem like it so she grew less worried.
She was wearing a short black off-shoulder gown that was slitted. Charlotte looked stunning in her off-shoulder black gown. The gown is clearly made of a luxurious fabric, and it’s form-fitting, highlighting her figure beautifully. The off-shoulder style adds a touch of elegance, and the high slit in the gown shows off her legs in a classy way.
"Dave!" Unable to endure his intent gaze on her anymore, she called out, breaking him out of his thoughts.
"Yes," with his eyes lingering on her for a while, he answered and eventually stood up. Charlotte instinctively sighed, relieved that he was finally acknowledging her presence.
Feeling ignored, Suzy snorted and angrily walked away.
"This looks perfect, except...." He complimented her outfit then trailed off, moving closer to her, to fix the mistake he spotted. Dropping his hands on the creamy coloured shawl she was wrongly wearing, he properly wore it around her neck and took a step back once he was done.
"There," he informed her.
"Ohh, thank you." Embarrassed that she had worn the shawl in the wrong way, her face turned red and she dropped her head in shame.
She hadn’t been much of a fashionista, but compared to when she was still immature, she had gotten better in her fashion sense.
She knew Dave to be a type of man that loved smart and sexy women, and most times, she would stoop so low as to wearing inappropriate dresses just to grab his attention, in which they all failed. She wondered if she wasn’t busty enough and also went on an eating spree only to always be rejected by him.
She couldn’t believe how absurd and infatuated she had been, if only Ronald came earlier.
"Don’t feel embarrassed, I don’t mind." His voice was as gentle as the movement of a calm wave in the sea. If it was before, he would call her names for being so clumsy and unsophisticated. Now, looking into his eyes, there was no hint of lies or endurance.
Her heart started beating so fast that she felt a tingling feeling which scared her. She knew that tingling feeling so well, and she had felt them repeatedly when she was still obsessed over Dave.
It was not like she didn’t expect it to happen but wasn’t it so soon?
"I...I think we should go," in a weird manner, she dropped her hands in the air and started wandering around the boutique, searching for an exit.
"Still so clumsy!" Dave teased, and immediately grabbed her by her wrist, like a mother afraid of losing her only child that sent shivers down her spine.
His grip was rough yet soft, she couldn’t fathom how good she felt just from being held by him. What was this immoral feeling, when she was soon to be married to another man? She should never have agreed to follow him out, but what could she do when he seemed like he needed to get some fresh air?
Even back then and now, she has never been able to reject him.
She grew anxious about the bothersome emotions that were sprouting in her and accidentally bit her lips that bled out.
"Ouch," she winced in pain, raising her hand to touch the injury but was stopped by Dave. He held her hand down and draped his handkerchief over her lips to wipe off the blood, his actions gentle and slow as he did them.
"I am sorry," she apologised, feeling bad for being so careless all day.
Bringing her closer to him, he held her by her waist, raised up her head and resumed wiping her bloodied lips. The moment she made eye contact with his lips, she made a sudden hiccup and quickly covered her mouth to stop herself from doing more humiliating things.
She knew Dave was definitely mad at her and looked up to meet his eyes but she met an unexpected reaction. His gaze was glued on her lips, his cheeks forming a wide smile as he focused on treating her lips. He didn’t seem disgusted or annoyed which further worried her.
Dave was never the type to ignore or accept her reckless acts, he would scold her and she would cry all day yet he wouldn’t even look her way.
"You are not annoyed?" She couldn’t help asking.
"Everyone makes mistakes. You have always been clumsy, and I am used to it. I think it’s cute," he answered sincerely and disposed of the handkerchief, then he started leading them out of the boutique.
Charlotte was so shocked, that she grew speechless. Dave just called her clumsy acts "CUTE?" Was she dreaming or was he lying to her?
She knew that the supportive act he displayed at the dining room earlier wasn’t a normal coincidence. Likewise, the dark room conversation also had meanings behind them.
What could be going on in his freaking mind? Was he planning to toy with her till he found another toy to play with?
She needed to stay away from him before things grew worse.
They soon left the boutique and proceeded to their destination.
Back at the mansion.
Liliana had completed the dress she was going to make for Aurora. Aurora was currently in Theresa’s room, waiting patiently for Liliana to arrive.
"Oh my dearest, I didn’t mean to keep you waiting." As soon as she arrived, she made a dramatic apology and opened up a box to reveal what was beneath it.
"It is fine," Aurora assured her. Theresa didn’t seem bothered by Liliana’s dramatic ways and kept her eyes glued on whatever she was about to bring out of the box.
"Do you like what you see?" Displaying it for both Theresa and Aurora to see, she asked.
"Gracious Selena! Who ever said you weren’t the best?" Theresa sounded so satisfied with what she was seeing and gave a compliment. On the other hand, Aurora still couldn’t comprehend what was going on.
She literally sewed a nightgown and was asking if she liked what she saw? Was the night gown part of the dress or did she forget the dress?
"What about the dress?" Not wanting to jump into conclusions, she inquired.
"What dress? This is the dress darling," Liliana found it cute that Aurora seemed dissatisfied with the nightgown-like dress. But then again, it was a normal reaction.
"Aurora, remember the goal. To appease him, endure the process and go with the flow." Theresa butted in, trying as much as possible to sound like a good adviser.
"But, I am not going as a prostitute, I am going to appease him. I don’t want to wear this," she refused, shaking her head in disapproval.
Theresa expected that reply, but she came prepared. Taking a seat beside Aurora, she started, "Yes, you are not going there as a prostitute but what do you think Damien wants more than anything now from you?" She asked.
"Ermmm, the result of our contract." She answered, giving a face that said ’Wasn’t that obvious?’ She had yet to conceive a child for him and that was the only thing standing up for their relationship. If they weren’t mutually contracted, she doubts if he would have noticed her at all.
"Exactly, and it’s been over a month with no improvement. Don’t you want to give it a try? Who knows, our therapeutic sessions might prove successful?" Pointing out, she gave valid reasons enough to convince Aurora to wear the nightgown-like dress.
It’s been a while since Damien made a move on her and considering what Theresa said, things might go well this time around.
"Are you sure about this?" Hesitating a bit, she carefully asked.
"Definitely, I would never lie to you. Bring your ear closer," she ordered.
Slowly, Aurora obeyed and Theresa whispered some words into her ears that made her cheeks flush.
"Theresa!" Aurora exclaimed, taken aback by what Theresa whispered into her ears. Theresa was sometimes too naughty for her age, she was more experienced than a young lady.
"I am still here!" Calling attention to her, Liliana frustratedly relayed.
"Sorry," Aurora apologised, and moved closer to retrieve the cloth from her.
"I would get the food served, get her dressed and bring her out in the next ten minutes." Theresa ordered Liliana before leaving them behind in the room.
"Shall we?" Directing her hand towards the dressing table, Liliana asked, excitement all over her face.
"Yes,"Aurora answered, and Liliana soon began dolling her up.
Ten minutes had passed and Aurora was made ready for their amazing surprise. Well, as Theresa thought it to be, amazing.
It was already getting dark, the hour of dinner coming close.
A lost figure stood by the entrance of Alpha Damien’s room, her hands occupied with what she had prepared for the Alpha as she contemplated running away before it was too late.
"You can do it!!" Theresa and Liliana both whispered from one corner of the corridor, as they cheered Aurora on.
With every ounce of courage in her, she took a deep breath and entered his room swiftly.
"Here we go," she mumbled.
