Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 92: Pasta
Chapter 92: Pasta
"Confirm it? O....kay," hesitantly, she agreed and carefully looked at Theresa. If Theresa was right and she managed to bring things back to normal, then she was going to have to speed up the contract process before things deepened between them.
"That’s the spirit!" Theresa squirmed, happy to have received her consent.
"But....." Aurora drawled, finding it hard to utter the words she wanted to say.
"What?" Theresa asked, wanting to know the problem.
Theresa already had a lot on her plate with the presence of the future Luna and the preparation for her upcoming wedding. It would be inconsiderate to burden her with her intimacy therapy.
There had to be a way to overcome her trauma. She barely had two months left and she didn’t know if she could survive Sarah and her mother’s hatred, if she didn’t carry a child on time. Why wouldn’t he just let them go through surrogacy?
That annoying jerk! She sighed and said, "It’s nothing, let’s go with your plan." She then smiled.
"About that, let’s do it tonight," Theresa suggested and stretched her hands towards her handmaiden, indicating for her to step forward.
"Get me my designer now, you know what to do." She ordered, causing the maid to beam joyfully at her words. Since the enchanting potion incident, it had been a while since Theresa worked on beautifying a woman for Damien. The thought of them going back to the old days made the handmaiden happy.
"Now we just have to use your skill," Theresa said, confusing Aurora.
"What skill?" She questioned, bothered about what Theresa could be implying.
"Cooking of course. Let’s get going, we have no time to waste." Upon finishing her sentence, she started walking out of the garden, leaving Aurora with a bothered expression. She was still worried about being Damien’s favorite, could he be truly appeased by her presence and skills like Theresa said? Well, it was better than not trying.
Brushing off the thought, she stood up with a newfound determination and followed after Theresa. On their way to the kitchen, they stumbled upon Charlotte who seemed to be in search of someone.
"Hey dear, why do you look tired?" Moving closer to check up on her, Theresa asked.
"Lady Aurora, Theresa! Do you by chance have any idea where Dave could be? I need to return his phone," she asked. Aurora gave a slight nod to Charlotte’s greeting and smiled.
"Phone?" Theresa repeated, looking down at Charlotte’s hand to properly understand the situation. It seemed like Dave must have left his phone in the dining room and Charlotte needed to return it to him.
"Have you checked his room?" Theresa noted.
"Yes, no one knows where he is," Charlotte replied.
"Then just give one of the maids to hand it over when he is around." She suggested. It was the most obvious thing to do but Charlotte furrowed her brows, not liking the idea.
She had initially given a maid to help her return the phone only for the maid to come back with a ’He is nowhere to be found’ message. She was going to leave the phone in the hands of the maid, but the maid didn’t want to keep it and refused Charlotte’s request.
She could understand the maid’s worry, as if anything went wrong while the phone was in the maid’s hand, she would be held responsible.
"I tried, do you know if he has a hidden....." Before she could finish up her words, she suddenly remembered her hidden spot, where they met the other night.
"Never mind, I think I know where he is." Feeling relieved, she ran out of the corridor, leaving both Aurora and Theresa bewildered.
"Wouldn’t they make a fine couple?" Theresa asked as she watched Charlotte retreating.
"I thought Miss Charlotte was soon to be married?" Aurora asked, surprised by Theresa’s wish. Though she wasn’t sure about what happened between them, she suspected they were once lovers who grew apart. She sighed at how mysterious everyone was in the mansion. First, was her best friend and the Alpha, now it was Charlotte and Dave.
"I know. I have foolish sons who don’t know what they want." Saying that, Theresa shook her head and brushed off her worries. She only wants a grandson, she wasn’t going to intrude on their love life.
"Forget I said that. Now back to business," she was quick to compose herself and they began walking towards the kitchen again.
Getting there, the kitchen was empty as everyone had gone to rest till they had to prepare something for lunch. Naturally, there was never a resting time but the Alpha wasn’t someone that demanded food all the time so the work was less for them.
"Now, what’s your favorite dish?" Theresa asked as she wore her apron.
"Pasta?" She answered, wondering why her favorite dish had to be prepared.
"Yes, get an apron. We would make just that for him," Theresa answered and started moving around the kitchen to help with things.
"But your plan was set for tonight, why should we cook now?" She reminded Theresa of the plan. It was just past breakfast time, what was the hurry for, if they were carrying out the plan at night?
"Who said we were serving him now?"
"Huh?" Aurora was puzzled. If they were cooking now, was it not to serve it now?
"Think about it, you want to make him happy right?" She started.
"Yes? " Aurora answered, as a matter of fact.
"Then shouldn’t you start making preparations right now? What if your first attempt tastes bad? Would you serve him something bad?" She continued.
"No," Aurora replied, finding sense in her words. She was very good at cooking, and she could be considered an expert but Theresa was right, the food had to be in its best shape.
"So the plan is to cook as many times as you can until I deem the taste perfect enough. Understood?"
"Alright," Aurora agreed.
