Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night
Chapter 22: Aurora conceiving a child

Chapter 22: Aurora conceiving a child

Aurora fell silent, at a loss for words, upon hearing that he expected to engage in sexual relations with her every night. The idea of mating with this rude and arrogant Alpha left her feeling annoyed.

"Well, it doesn’t have to be every night," he added with a mischievous smirk. "If we are too busy or tired, we can skip a night." He wondered what thoughts were running through her mind. It always seemed like she was disgusted by him whenever the topic of intimacy arose.

In werewolf customs, surrogacy was frowned upon. Children conceived through mating were believed to be born strong and healthy. An Alpha resorting to surrogacy was akin to publicly admitting impotence. What was she thinking?

"I am an Alpha, deal with it," he declared, grabbing the signed document and leaving her alone in his room.

Aurora found her way to the couch and sat down, attempting to gather her thoughts before losing her sanity. Reflecting on the situation, Theresa could have found a way to obtain Damien’s sperm for surrogacy if it was that easy to produce an heir.

However, without confirmed intimacy, the child might not be accepted. She almost forgot that werewolves were dominant creatures, reveling in their control over everything.

If everyone discovered that Damien couldn’t perform and opted for surrogacy, his reputation would be ruined. If he insisted on mating with her every night, then he wasn’t impotent or interested in men.

Glancing down at her stomach, she hoped to get pregnant on the first night so she could conceive in time. As long as she complied with his rules and made things easy for both of them, everything would be fine.

Letting out a sigh, she gently stood up to leave his room. As she surveyed the surroundings, she realized she would be spending each night here until she bore a child.

Not in the mood to engage with anyone, she headed straight to her room to take a nap, ignoring the task of preparing dinner for the pack.

Damien instructed a maid to bring Theresa to his study room, and she arrived curious about what had transpired between Aurora and her son.

"Damien, did she offend you?" She asked as she entered the room and approached him.

"She will be my breeder again, so I needed her to sign the contract," he responded sternly, looking up to meet her gaze. Theresa appeared shocked, but she was even more puzzled as to why he wanted a breeder when he had always rejected them.

"You can resume your duties as the mistress of the mansion on one condition," he stated, offering her a condition to reclaim her position. Theresa smiled, happy that he wanted her to resume her role. However, she wondered what this condition entailed.

"What condition?" She inquired.

"Help Aurora with whatever she needs as a breeder. She will be carrying a child and will require support," he revealed.

Theresa was still adjusting to him referring to Aurora as his breeder. Had he hit his head? Hold on, Damien hadn’t been intimate with a woman. Was he really going to mate with her?

"I am not impotent, mother," he clarified, seemingly guessing her thoughts. She sighed in relief, but then remembered something that furrowed her brow.

"What about Sarah and the Elders?" Theresa wanted him to get married and have a companion, but conceiving an heir was crucial. If her son didn’t want to marry Sarah, then she would help strengthen the bond between him and Aurora. After all, Aurora would be bearing his child, making her eligible to become his wife and Luna.

"They want an heir, just like you do. That’s why you need to guide Aurora within three months, so she can get pregnant," he declared confidently. Though he seemed assured of his plan’s success, Theresa remained concerned.

The goddess Selena could be unpredictable towards her people, and Aurora might struggle to conceive if Selena was against their union. Conversely, she might conceive when they least expected it. It all depended on Aurora’s ability to conceive, assuming her son fulfilled his part.

"Alright, I will help you. Did she agree to it?" Theresa agreed and asked.

"That’s why we could have this conversation," he replied, providing her with the answer she sought.

"She will be moving upstairs, next to my room. Find a way to spread the rumor that she is my sex partner until she conceives. I want the Elders off my back regarding the marriage issue," he commanded, anger simmering in his eyes as he contemplated being forced to marry Sarah.

Theresa felt intimidated, witnessing his anger. Sometimes she wondered if he was truly her son. He acted differently, often causing her to worry about herself and his brother.

"Fine, just keep your word, or I won’t assist you any further," Theresa warned, then left his study room.

Enoch entered just after Theresa departed. He could sense Damien’s frustration with the marriage issue.

Even during their busiest weeks, Damien never found work to be as frustrating as marriage. It seemed to be his Achilles’ heel, a weird trait for an Alpha.

"Is ’weird’ the right word?" Damien asked.

"Ahhh," Enoch exclaimed, abruptly cutting off their mind link. He had used it to inquire about his Alpha’s whereabouts when he couldn’t find him in his room, but he forgot to terminate the connection before entering the study room.

"I should order you to open your mind link every time. I think there are more unpleasant words you use to describe me in your mind," Damien remarked, handing Enoch a file.

"Keep it in my library. You know what to do," Damien instructed, raising an eyebrow at Enoch, who remained seated instead of leaving the study room.

"Is my Beta tired? Perhaps we need a replacement," Damien mocked, but Enoch wasn’t in the mood for jesting.

"Are you certain about this?" Enoch asked, referring to Damien’s plan. Although Sarah’s ability to conceive wasn’t guaranteed either, at least she was his wife, and they had plenty of time to conceive an heir. Betting three months on a breeder they couldn’t fully trust seemed risky.

"She will conceive a child," Damien affirmed.
