Chapter 202: The twins and the end

Chapter 202: The twins and the end

"You have the nerve to attack me directly," Lucas said, now standing in front of a lethal Damien, smirking, which irritated Damien.

Damien wanted to snap his neck in two right now, and he would.

"This fight has always been between you and me, let us end it today." Damien spoke, and Lucas did not wait for him to finish before changing into his wolf form.

A large brown wolf appeared in front of Damien and growled, demonstrating dominance.

Damien also transformed into a white wolf much larger than Lucas’s, and they soon began fighting. The fight lasted thirty minutes, and Lucas appeared exhausted, which did not surprise the onlookers.

His men had already been defeated, and they had accepted their fate. In their next lives, they promised to serve a better Alpha, similar to Damien.

"Kill me instead and spare his life," Damien, who had already transformed into his human form, approached Lucas, only to be stopped by Peter.

"You are willing to die for him? Is he even worth it?" Damien took a step back, hoping to talk him out of it.

"He is not, but we have sworn an oath to protect our Alpha. It is my duty regardless." Peter responded with a lowered head, indicating that he was not proud of his actions.

"Ahhh!" When Lucas stabbed Peter unexpectedly, he let out a painful cry. Lucas began laughing uncontrollably and whispered into Peter’s ears,"This is a better way to die for me, betrayer." The sword was then removed, and Peter was pushed to the floor.

"You are up next," Damien announced, unfazed, and launched at Lucas, knocking him out in one blow.

Everything fell silent, and Damien searched for Aurora, smiling when he found her. Turning back to Lucas’s apprehended men, he extended his hand into the air, and Dave appeared out of nowhere, dropping a file into his hands.

Damien approached one of Lucas’s men who was being held down and signaled for his own man to release them before bending to the height of Lucas’ man.

"This will help you elect a better Alpha and prevent his mother from manipulating the elders." Dropping the file into the man’s hand, he stood up to leave but was stopped when the man asked, "Why are you not killing us?" He raised his head to meet Damien’s gaze with a grateful expression.

"The war was never yours, he dragged you all into it." Damien responded and exited the scene.

Three months later.

Scarlet and Enoch were granted permission to leave the packhouse for several months.Scarlet did not want to give birth to her child here, and Enoch was eager to do anything for their child and her, so he did not hesitate to ask Damien for permission.

Aurora did not want to be alone, but it would be selfish of her to expect Scarlet to stay when she was also pregnant.

Dave was currently in Charlotte’s pack because her brothers had forgiven him but attached a condition. He would stay with them for a year before they approved their marriage, though it appeared difficult, Dave would do anything for his mate. Louis followed him because they had already grown attached to each other.

Damien and Aurora were the only couple present, so the mansion was a little quieter. Damien had time for Aurora now that there was no longer a war to fight and no neighboring pack to cause trouble.

They spent the majority of their days hunting, fishing, and camping.

"Do you want to give your parents an appropriate burial?" Damien asked Aurora while they were eating one afternoon, causing her to become emotional.

It had been so long that she had forgotten to properly bury them, so she appreciated his consideration.

"Yes, but I am not sure Lucas’ mother allowed them to bury my parents. How will we find their bodies?" She inquired.

"The newly appointed Alpha turns out to be a friend of mine as well, I have previously sent him a letter about this. He should get back to me this week," Damien revealed, surprising Aurora even more.

"You are the best husband ever," she complimented, kissing him on the lips, and Damien was turned on.

"What are you doing? My belly is now visible, the doctor advised me to limit intimacy for the time being." As he was about to carry her up, she stopped him.

"The doctor said there were ways to avoid harming the baby. It would be nice to have twins, don’t you think?" He winked at her before picking her up without warning, preventing her from complaining.

"You naughty man, you always win!" She flicked his forehead, and they laughed all the way to the bed, where they had rounds of pleasure.

Six months passed.

Damien stood outside the room, terrified because Aurora was in labor and the screams were making him anxious. He had not heard her scream like that before, and he was terrified of impregnating her again.

Pacing around the door, he kept praying to Goddess Selena to help with her delivery because he could not live without her if anything bad happened to her.

Moving closer to the door, the maids stationed there immediately stopped him from entering, and he retreated.

"She is in..." Before he could finish his statement, Theresa opened the door and greeted him warmly.

"Come in," she said, making room for him and exiting the room.

Damien remained rooted to his feet when he noticed two newborns laying by Aurora’s side. He suddenly had an attack and was unsure whether he would be a good father to them.

"It is twins," Aurora announced, smiling as she raised her hand for him to pick.

Damien immediately regained his composure and went to sit beside her. Aurora smiled at his naive expression and dropped the baby girl right into his hand.

"Isn’t she cute? Let us call her Isabella." Aurora said, smiling, and Damien’s eyes lit up with joy.

"And for this little Damien here, what did you..." Cutting her off, he said, "Vincent, that will be his name." And he took the boy into his arms.

"Thank you for coming into my life, Aurora, I promise to be a good father and husband to you all." He said, pecking her forehead, before returning his smile to the bundle of joy in his embrace.

"She does resemble me, though," Aurora said.

"No, it is me. They both look like me." Damien retorted.

"No, look at the nose, that is mine..."

And that is how they lived happily ever after.
