Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 20: Be my breeder
Chapter 20: Be my breeder
Upon returning to the mansion, everyone avoided speaking to the Alpha, sensing his anger and the chance for him to vent it on anyone who dared approach him.
"Where is Theresa?" He stopped a passing maid and inquired.
"She is in the kitchen, Alpha," the maid replied, scurrying off.
"You don’t need to follow me. Prepare something for me, I will text you the details," he ordered Enoch, who hesitated before leaving his side.
If only some women weren’t so ambitious, many problems could be solved. But they always wanted more than they had. Damien’s prediction was correct, she desired love, which went against the rules of the contract.
In the kitchen...
"Alpha!" The maids standing by the door exclaimed when Damien entered, surprised to see their Alpha in the kitchen. Aurora panicked upon hearing them call him, "Alpha." Was he finally here to punish her?
"Alpha, do you need something?" Theresa was equally shocked to find her son in the kitchen. It was unusual for him to be there, it wasn’t something they saw every day.
Aurora discreetly bowed her head, making sure not to attract attention to herself. She avoided speaking, fearing it would gain the Alpha’s gaze.
"The breeder you brought in five years ago before my departure, what is her origin?" Damien asked, catching everyone in the kitchen off guard. Their Alpha suddenly took an interest in the breeders he had always rejected, no matter how hard Theresa tried.
Aurora’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing him ask about her. Was she in trouble? But that was five years ago, what could possibly be the problem, and why did he want to know about her?
"Why the sudden curiosity?" Theresa asked, wanting to understand what had happened.
"Just answer the question. I don’t have all day," Damien ignored her question, sounding impatient.
"She was a slave I bought at the auction," Theresa replied.
"A mere slave? You brought in a mere slave to sleep with me?" Although he appeared angry, his voice remained calm. It seemed he didn’t care about her origin, yet he also cared.
"She was a Luna slave, of high value, so I bought her. She didn’t smell like a slave or have the features of a slave, so she must have committed a sin to be sold," Theresa quickly defended her actions, not wanting to face her son’s wrath.
Aurora felt a wave of sadness hearing herself being discussed in such a manner. The only sin she had committed was having the wrong mate. She searched for an escape, but Damien’s presence completely blocked the exit, preventing her from leaving.
"A Luna slave? I need you to find her. Where is she?" Damien inquired, desperation evident in his eyes. He didn’t care if she was a slave, he was only concerned about her belonging to another if she was a mere slave. Most slaves were branded with their master’s name, and if she was a slave like the rest with a master, he wouldn’t be able to own her.
"She is..." Theresa panicked as she prepared to reveal the identity of the breeder. She desperately wanted to know why Damien was searching for her, but she couldn’t lie to uncover the truth. If she didn’t reveal who it was now, Damien would eventually find out.
Aurora’s hands grew sweaty as she realized she was the breeder he was seeking.
"It is Aurora, our mansion’s chef," Theresa revealed, causing everyone to turn and face Aurora, who had been skillfully hiding herself since Damien entered the kitchen.
Damien was struck by the revelation. She had always been by his side, yet he hadn’t recognized her.
"Are you telling the truth?!" He raised his voice, questioning her. He had sensed something familiar about her, but he wasn’t certain.
"Yes," Theresa replied and went to grab Aurora’s wrist, urging her to step forward.
"Follow me," without sparing her another glance, Damien ordered.
Theresa gave Aurora an assuring nod and gently pushed her out of the kitchen when she hesitated.
"He probably has something to say. Don’t be scared."
Aurora’s heart raced with each step she took after him. Was this the end for her in the pack? She would be relieved if he cast her out.
Strangely, they were headed toward his bedroom instead of his study room. Why couldn’t they have this conversation in his study? Unless... Did he want her? She shook off the thought, trying to remain composed.
"Alpha?" She called his name suddenly.
"Don’t ask questions," he replied and entered his room. She took a deep breath, calming herself before entering.
"Come over here," he gestured for her to sit beside him on the couch. She was right to suspect his intentions. ’Not so easily, Alpha,’ she thought, stifling a scoff but forgetting he was right beside her.
"Did you just scoff?" He asked, causing her eyes to widen at her foolish mistake.
"What? I was just lost in thought and..." she trailed off, smacking his arm absentmindedly as she searched for an excuse.
Damien gazed at the spot where she had hit him, finding himself chuckling. She followed his gaze, covering her mouth as she realized how bold she had been.
"What were you thinking about? You seem nervous," Damien asked, curious. She cleared her throat and flashed him a wide smile.
"Alpha, why am I here?" She quickly changed the subject, hoping to redirect the conversation before things became more awkward.
"I need you," Damien said, shocking her greatly. She instinctively stood up and took a few steps away from him.
"N-now?" She swallowed hard, stammering nervously. Why was he being so blunt about his desires? It was difficult for her to catch her breath.
"Yes," he answered, furrowing his brow when he noticed her flustered state and realized she might be misunderstanding his intentions. He didn’t want to sleep with her, that was not his intention, yet.
"I... I don’t want to!" she blurted out suddenly, unable to contain her thoughts. This was the second time she had rejected him, and she knew he wouldn’t take it lightly.
"Want what?" Damien loved seeing the reaction on her face. She was already flustered even though he hadn’t even been teasing her.
"The thing," she replied, her voice trembling.
"The thing? Come on, it will be over before you know it," Damien decided to play along, teasing her since she was already wearing a confused expression.
"I... I don’t..." she was interrupted by the arrival of Damien’s Beta, Enoch, who entered the room.
"Here you go," Enoch handed Damien a file and promptly left the room.
Damien quickly skimmed through the file before throwing it in front of her.
"Be my breeder again. Sign it."
