Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 126: An abrupt kiss
Chapter 126: An abrupt kiss
"Alright," Damien agreed.
"Nice," the eldest replied and a paper deal appeared from nowhere, standing in front of Damien with a feathered ink pen.
"Now sign it,"
Picking up the feathered ink pen, he wrote his name on the provided space and released the pen.
A white light shone on the paper, sealing the agreement. Just then, Aurora sneezed, causing Damien to run to her side.
"Aurora," excited, he called, examining her face to see if she was alright. Making her seat, he made her lean against his back and kept on surveying her body for any abnormalities. Finding none, he sighed in relief.
"What’s happening?" Aurora asked, wondering where she was.
She flinched when her gaze came in contact with the witches, wondering if she was in the afterlife. But afterlife looked ugly, or was she in hell?
The eldest witch exclaimed, her eyes widening when she realized something. Wrapping the contract, she made it vanish and said, "You can leave."
"I will explain later, we have to leave now." Damien replied and gave Louis a meaningful look. Picking her up, they exited the house and walked a bit away from the house, so Louis could open the portal.
"Can you teleport us out of this world?" Damien asked, temporarily making Aurora stand.
"You can never know until you try." Louis replied and began enchanting the sames inaudible words from earlier, opening a wide portal.
"Ladies and gentlemen, shall we?" Once the portal was open, Louis asked and they entered the portal together, teleporti‐‐‐ng them away.
"Well, now we know." Unfortunately, Louis was unable to teleport them out of the witches’ world, they were teleported elsewhere.
"I never said I was good at it, I told you I wasn’t." Louis said, defending his skills. It was four years back he got to know about this teleporting power, and he wasn’t yet good at using it.
"Sure boss. Now where did you bring us?" Damien asked, looking around where they were. It looked like a small village with few habitants. Everywhere was somewhat quiet and only a few passersby’s could be seen.
"I think I might have brought us to the opposite side of where we came from," Louis said, picking up stones like he did in front of the Amazing sister’s house, that didn’t go unnoticed by Damien.
"Where are we?" Worried, Aurora asked, clutching onto Damien’s sleeve tightly. For some reason, his wolf squeaked in joy from that little action. His mate was back, and would never leave him again, he was going to make sure of that.
"The white witches world," Louis replied and a smile came to his face.
"Come," excited Louis said, running into the small village.
"Damien, what’s going on? Where are we?" Aurora repeated, requesting for answers.
"The witches’ world," he replied.
"Why?" She asked.
"For an adventure," saying that, he carried her up and began walking into the village.
Not anticipating such an action, she clung to his shirt for stability, awakening a desire in Damien that affected her in turn.
"I...I am sorry," she apologized, blushing, and averted her gaze, unwilling to be seen in such a vulnerable moment.
"I don’t mind," Damien responded, prompting her to look at him.
"Someone might think you are in love with me, are you?" he teased, flashing a seductive smile.
"What are you implying?" Clearing her throat, she touched her left cheek, looking away.
"I am saying, thanks for coming back to me," he said, putting an end to the teasing.
Aurora couldn’t help but ponder the confusion around her. She recalled fainting in the garden earlier, how did they suddenly end up in the witches’ world? What was Damien concealing from her? Was he planning to exploit her in some way? Shaking her head, she dismissed the absurd thought.
Noticing her contemplation, he asked, "Are you okay?"
"I want to walk on my own," she requested.
"No," he insisted.
"No? Why?" Annoyed by his response, she repeated, wondering if he claimed authority simply because she wasn’t fully healed.
"Alpha Damien, let me go," she insisted, her voice growing louder.
"No, Luna Aurora," he teased, knowing the title would stop her resistance. With a parted mouth, she fell silent.
"I am not Luna," she corrected, dropping her head.
"Well, not yet. But you will be once we are back," he continued teasing. "And I marked you while you were asleep, you will love the tattoo," he added.
Aurora’s expression turned cold, feeling the urge to retaliate against his audacity of touching her while she slept.
"I am going to kill you," she threatened, raising her hand to smack his chest, only to be halted by an abrupt kiss on her lips.
"Kill me later, for now, I need you to eat something," he said nonchalantly, as if indifferent to her desire to harm him.
Touching her lips, she bit them in embarrassment, berating herself for enjoying his kiss despite everything he had done. The mate bond seemed to control her emotions.
"And I don’t know if you have noticed, but we are..." Before he could finish, she silenced him by placing her hand on his lips, preventing him from revealing more.
"You are too noisy, my head aches," she complained, using a headache as an excuse. Damien found it strange but dismissed it, pecking her forehead.
"Stop doing that," she warned, glaring at him.
"You know, you are seducing me," he taunted, smirking mischievously.
"How am I seducing you? You are the one who won’t let me go," she retorted.
As Damien prepared to respond, Louis interrupted, "Can we postpone the romantic banter? We need to find shelter before nightfall."
"Have you found one?" Diverting his attention, Damien asked.
"Yes, there’s an inn some steps away from us. If we hasten pur speed, we should arrive in time," Louis disclosed, earning an understanding nod from Damien.
Louis met Aurora’s gaze briefly and Louis was quick to avert him, shy to meet her gaze.
"Do you like him? I could adopt him for us?" Tracing her gaze, Damien asked.
"Us? And why would you do that?" She asked.
"Just to keep you company till we have our own kids, he is very cute, you would like him." Gazing at Louis, he commented. Well, he still hasn’t fully trusted Louis but it won’t be hard for him to take him down if he turned out to be a bad guy, as he had studied him well. He was sure that Louis wasn’t a witch, he could be a shapeshifter or a half-Demon.
Aurora knew it was futile arguing with Damien as he always had the upper hand in any of their arguments. He was very good at turning the table on her even when he was the first to start. And she must admit, he knew her soft point and he always used it on her.
Looking away, she focused on their destination, not bothering to exchange words with him again.
The walk took them twenty minutes and they finally arrived at a local inn. A young girl around the age of Louis was the one standing by the reception.
"Welcome distinguished men and women. How many rooms do you need?" Smiling sweetly, she asked.
"Ermm, three..." "two," "two rooms."
Correcting him, Damien made him say two rooms instead of three since they were two, according to him.
Louis dropped some coins on the table as payment for their rooms.
"Where do I stay?" Even though she already knew the answer to that, she couldn’t help expressing her discomfort about the arrangement.
"Obviously, with him." Louis answered, widening his eyes when he met her annoyed gaze.
"Geez! Relax on the poor boy, he is not at fault here." Damien said, trying to calm her down.
"When are you going to put me down?"Aurora asked.
"After bathing you," Damien shamelessly replied.
"There are young ones here," rolling his eyes, Louis recalled, receiving the keys from the girl that was trying not to laugh.
"I hate you," Aurora mumbled, embarrassed to speak out.
"Here you go, have a goodnight. We would talk first thing tomorrow morning," handing over the key to Damien and Aurora’s room, he suggested and left them.
"If you need food, you can ring the bell in your room!" The young girl yelled after Louis, who only nodded and kept on walking.
"Get us warm water and new clothes," Damien ordered.
"That’s gonna cost you additional money," the young girl said.
"Hasn’t he paid?" Damien asked, referring to Louis.
"Yes, but for your rooms and food, not warm water and clothes." The young girl relayed.
"Just let them in Arianna, they are new in town." A fair-looking woman with white hair appeared from nowhere, and ordered the young girl.
"I will repay you before leaving," not wanting to be indebted to a witch, Damien said, making her laugh.
"How? By washing clothes?" The woman asked, knowing fully well that they had no money.
Aurora busted into laughter, finding the woman’s reply funny. She wasn’t sure Damien could even wash plates, talk more about clothes.
Staring daggers at her, Aurora stopped laughing and looked away but she couldn’t help giggling.
"Don’t take it out on the lady, just accept my token. I know you are afraid of making a deal with a witch, but it’s fine." Saying that the white-haired woman turned her back and walked away.
