Chapter 162 162: The Princess Demands Justice.

Leo rushed through the roads and he came to the northern area of the city where the Second People's Hospital was located. He came inside the emergency department with Kyle following him. The two of them together gave off an intimidating vibe. The nurse at the reception was kind of stunned when she saw the two people, and Leo asked, "Fragrance Optimus, where is she?"

The nurse was still in daze, Leo rapped his knuckle on the counter, and the knock woke her up. The young lady took a deep breath and said, "One, moment please."

She went through the computer and said, "She had multiple lacerations and also two stab wounds on her abdomen, she is in rescue, you can check with the doctors on duty about her status."

Leo thought for a minute and picked up his phone, and directly called Percie Hibiscal. The call connected and the latter asked, "Good evening, President, can I help you with something?"

Leo asked, "Where are you?"

Percie Hibiscal replied, "In a meeting with a few collaborators, is it urgent?"

Leo said, "I don't know who you will arrange to contact the director of the second hospital, but I want you to call him and tell him that all the insurances that the company has done for the employees will be placed with them if they can save our Legal Department head."

His voice was calm and steady, and Percie was confused on the other side, as she asked, "What do you mean by the legal department head?"

Leo replied, "Frag has been attacked and she is stabbed twice, right now she is in emergency rescue of the second people hospital. Now, I have other things to deal with. So, can you handle this?"

Percie replied, "I can."

The call was brief but it was sufficient to convey his message to the other side. Leo looked at Kyle and said, "Look into what happened. I want you to leave nothing out."

Kyle nodded and said, "I will have an answer within an hour."

Leo nodded and turned to look at the nurse behind the counter as he asked, "Can you tell me if the police have been informed in this case?"

The young nurse nodded and said, "Yes, Sir. Two constables are waiting for the doctors in the rescue bay."

Leo nodded and thanked her before he made his move to the rescue bay. As soon as he stepped in, he found three cops standing in the corridor and they were talking to each other. Leo asked, "Hello, Officer, are you here for Fragrance Optimus's incident?"

The cops looked at him vigilantly and the young man took out a business card that was prepared for him by his wife and handed it to the cop as he said, "Miss Fragrance works for me."

The cops checked the business card, and the young man also presented his identification. The cop asked, "We were thinking if we can talk to any of her family members, but we found no way, can you share the information of her family?"

Leo replied with a sigh, "She is an orphan, and I am the only one she can probably address as family."

The cops were surprised and Leo nodded, before he said, "How about you guys take a break and I will stand here? As soon as the doctor comes I will call you?"

The cops were surprised, but one of them, who had a stern face said, "I will stay here with Mister Cardinal, you two can catch a break."

The two people were shocked but not much and they nodded as they took a leave. Leo didn't mind that the cop was willing to stay behind. As soon as the two other cops moved away, the one who stayed behind asked, "Who are you really?"

Leo raised his brow in askance, and the cop said, "You are a multimillionaire and Miss Optimus is the figure that fights to uphold the values of law. Why are you here for her?"

Leo was surprised that this guy was scolding him and asking him the silly question, and the young man replied, "Did you not hear that I am her only family?"

His calm voice was enough to deter the cop. While Leo detected that the cop had some feelings for Fragrance, the cop also sensed that Leo really had familial feelings for the girl and nothing more.

After a few minutes, the door was pushed open and Leo looked at the doctor as he asked, "Sir, how is she doing?"

The doctor looked at Leo and said, "She is out of danger, but someone really didn't like her, this incident will leave marks on her face that might change her life forever, I suggest you consult a plastic surgeon later on."

Leo's gaze turned cold and he said, "Is she awake?"

The doctor sighed and replied, "She is, she denied taking the anesthesia and went through the entire procedure wide awake. I have to say, she has the spirit of a heroine."

Leo shook his head and replied, "I don't want my sister to be a heroine, I just want her to be happy and fit. May I see her?"

The cop cut in, "Mister Cardinal, we need to see her before you do."

Leo turned to look at the man and said, "As a family member of the trauma victim I reserve my right to be present when you interrogate her. If you have any problems, then please go and bring a warrant."

The doctor saw the situation and said, "You need to wait till we bring her inside the ward."

The young man nodded and said, "Your best ward, VVIP, I will make the payment right away."

His words caused the Doctor to freeze and he nodded as he said, "I will arrange for it."

Leo then made his way to the reception and then paid the advance amount before going back to the ninth floor, where the highest level wards were located. He was blessed with the perk called Calm In Chaos, but even that couldn't help him enter the room without a flinch. He was sure that Fragrance must have gotten into trouble because she was working on handling his enemies for him. The guilt weighed on his heart. The young man took a deep breath and pushed the door open. Inside the room, he spotted the cop from earlier who was trying to talk to Fragrance.

"Miss Fragrance, please, you can tell me who did it, we will make sure to put this guy behind bars."

Two other cops were also there but they were watching silently when the young guy took the lead. Leo looked at Fragrance and found that half of her face was covered with bandages and he asked, "Can you not see that she is distressed and cannot talk at the moment?"

The people realized that Leo had entered the room. The young cop said, "We are just here to help."

Leo looked at the young cop, "I told you earlier, that if you wish to talk to my sister, you will do so in my presence, but you didn't heed my advice, right. Don't say that I didn't tell you, but I will be reporting your actions to the higher ups."

The faces of the two cops changed, and the young policeman became very agitated and he walked over to Leo and asked, "What the hell are you saying? You don't want us to help your sister? Are you two even related? Huh? I suspect that you just want to slow down the investigation."

Leo narrowed his gaze and he saw the young cop grabbing toward his collar, and he took half a step back, before he said in a cold voice, "I am warning you, don't try to piss me off, you won't be able to handle that."

The two cops sensed that Leo was intense, but before they could act, Leo took out a red book from his pocket and he asked, "Do you know what this is?"

The two cops saw the seal on the front of the red book and they froze in their strides. Leo looked at the young cop and said, "Get out and come back when you have a warrant, or better, go back and prepare for the disciplinary action that I am going to file against you."

That said, he bypassed the cops and came to sit beside the bed. He looked Fragrance in the eyes and asked, "Walder did it?"

The young lady shivered a little, and looked at Leo as she blinked. Leo asked, "Do you trust me?"

Fragrance controlled the pain coursing through her body and she nodded, as Leo said, "I will give you an answer that will not let you down."

The young lady tried to smile but her eyes teared up. She began to cry as she reached out to hold his hand and said, "Big brother…. It hurts so much!"

Leo patted her head gently and said, "He will hurt ten times more, my dear, just wait."

At this moment his phone rang, it was from home, Snow, said the caller ID, Leo picked it up and he heard Lily's voice, "Baba, is aunty okay?"

Leo sighed and replied, "No, my love. She is in a lot of pain."

Lily fell silent before she said, "Did someone else cause the pain?"

Her voice was matching the tone of Princess Lily from the dream land and Leo said, "Yes."

The little girl said, "Then please make it so that the bad guy who did it suffers for what he has done. Make him beg for mercy."
