Su He was taken aback.

Fu Bing explained, "I want to clarify something with Mr. Su. I spent most of my time in the past as a performer. I learned pharmacology and medicine while serving my three-year prison sentence, but the cases in prison were limited. I haven’t treated any patients under eighteen, so I may not be able to assist you. In fact, I could potentially delay your child’s treatment."

Her voice was gentle and steadfast, inexplicably calming him.

Su He, who had initially been fuming with anger, was mollified after hearing her explanation.
