Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion -
Chapter 223 - 222: A path to power
"Kid..." Azerak trailed off as he looked at the boy who clearly wasn't interested in hearing him. Suddenly, he laughed.
"Although the Dreadborne Organization gave you unlimited potential, you're still weak. You haven't grown up yet. People with top potential, like the siblings of Caius, can still match you—and they've already matured. Even Caius is just like you. You've only experienced a slight increase in strength... what if he's already surpassed you? How many resources do you think he can access compared to you? He can request a thousand times more than you can. He'll soon surpass you. After all, you're just at the Planetary Low Realm..." Azerak said with a playful tone, while Dared paused.
He was right. Those who belonged to powerful families or organizations would definitely grow faster.
Even though his father was a Universal Realm expert, these people could control dozens of such experts. This ancestor was right.
Finally, Dared spoke up. "How? And what is that?" he asked, though still suspicious of the ancestor's plan. But he was weak. Maybe too weak to do anything. Even if it was a trap, he had already made up his mind to walk straight into it.
Anyway, what was the worst that could happen? Dying? Having his body taken? Fine. His body was still his, and even if his ancestor took it, the hatred—the anger—would transfer with it. No matter how strong Azerak was.
Of course, Azerak resided inside Dared's consciousness. Even as Dared thought or remembered things, Azerak merely smiled.
Originally, Azerak had wanted to take his body. But then, he saw that Nephem—that other body was far more terrifying. So now, he wondered... could he take that one? Could they help him forge a body like that?
One of the reasons he'd been sealed by beings of similar power was precisely because of his body. Despite having no talent or special physique, he was able to defeat others with monstrous physiques equal to his realm. That said a lot about his comprehension and willpower.
But now? He couldn't escape. Not yet. He had to gather more strength first before he could leave Dared's consciousness. Of course, that would cause irreversible pain to Dared—but he didn't care. He also wanted some of his power back, at least for protection. What if the Dreadborne Organization decided to kill him?
If that happened, he'd attack, escape, and look for a weaker recruit like Dared. If he found Dared first, great. This time, he'd eliminate his consciousness immediately.
From there, he could infiltrate the Dreadborne Organization again. But for now, this was fine.

"It's simple. I control a realm. In this realm are terrifying beasts and resources. But I can't bring them out for you... I'm still recovering my strength. The only help I can offer is to send you inside. Into your consciousness, that is. And yes, you can die inside. So be careful. If your consciousness is obliterated, it's good for me. But if you survive and come out, you'll obtain resources that could improve your realm," Azerak said.
Dared frowned slightly.
"Hm? Is this kid going to disagree? Well, whatever... let's just enjoy the show," Azerak thought.
"Okay... I'm ready. We can start now," Dared suddenly said, making Azerak laugh.
"Well, well. Okay then. I'm opening it now. And do me a favor—die inside. It'll be easier to control your body without resistance," Azerak said seriously.
Dared didn't respond but prepared himself mentally.
Suddenly, his vision blurred. He collapsed on the bed.
*******
Elsewhere, in a terrifying realm...
Dared woke up, flustered, and opened his eyes.
Clear skies. Tall, lush grass. Trees in the distance. Mountains far to the north. Small hills scattered around.
It was beautiful, but then—
ROAR!
CAW!
RASAK!
Different, terrifying beastly cries rang out as Dared trembled slightly.
The weakest aura here... was at the Planetary Realm.
Suddenly—
His body jerked left as he instinctively dodged a giant claw swipe.
BOOM!
Where he'd just been standing, a four-meter-wide paw print marked the ground—its claws had left deep, one-meter gouges.
The paw resembled a bear's, but this beast was no ordinary bear. It had a bear-like body, but its spines were long and exaggerated. Worst of all was its grotesque head—two meters wide, capable of opening impossibly large.
It had a long, spiked tail, and its presence exuded terrifying pressure.
Middle-level Planetary Realm.
ROAAAARRR!!!
The beast lunged at Dared.
"Oh, fuck me," Dared thought, dodging again—thankfully, his body had developed an innate dodging instinct thanks to the Dreadborne Organization.
Still, Dared was confused. How did Azerak do this? Was his real body transported here? Or was this some kind of vessel made from his consciousness?
Regardless, he kept dodging. Bit by bit, he adapted to the beast's attack patterns, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Five minutes later...
BOOM!
The massive beast's body crashed to the ground as Dared sat on it.
"So this beast wasn't even strong? A fake middle-level Planetary Realm beast or what? I was dodging for five minutes... then bam, one punch and its head's gone? Rubbish," Dared complained, sitting on its corpse.
High above, Azerak—manifesting as the will of the realm—watched in shock.
It wasn't that the beast was weak.
Dared was just too strong.
That transformation from the Aeron blood had turned him into something terrifying.
Azerak was now genuinely excited. If they could help him build a body...
He would surpass his previous peak—and become the strongest.
Suddenly, as Dared rested on the beast's body, a strange hunger surged within him.
BOOM.
An orb floated into view.
"What... is this?" Dared murmured, stunned.
He couldn't resist.
That orb called to him.
He felt that if he just took it, he'd grow stronger instantly. Of course, Azerak noticed this reaction.
"He's interested in souls?" Azerak thought, amused.
As Dared reached it, he opened his mouth to devour the orb—but the moment he bit into it...
He collapsed and began convulsing.
"Ugh!" Dared groaned in pain.
Azerak: "…"
Wow.
