Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 222 - 221: The demon race ..

Soon, from listening to them, Jake figured out the direction of the race and the universe they were in. Without hesitation, he took off. He could feel it—he couldn't hold it back any longer. If he didn't focus on suppressing it, he would break through.

The spaceship, of course, was fast. In just a few seconds, he arrived—and what he saw shook him to his core. It looked like the apocalypse. He saw planets burning, some reduced to molten husks. Ruins and debris from what was once a solar system floated aimlessly in space. Unlike the usual dull nature of space or the beautiful, tranquil sight of stars and galaxies passing by, this place radiated pure dread. Just looking at it made one uneasy—being within it was far worse.

It brought back memories of his race's destruction. The scene was hauntingly similar.

With a heavy sigh, he kept moving quickly until he found it—a burning galaxy. Yes, the very fabric of space itself seemed to be on fire. Jake glanced at the spaceship around him.

"Will it survive this? Will I be okay? Space is literally burning…"

Jake knew he had to prepare. His aura peaked, his body tense yet ready for battle. After all, this race devoured any being they saw—but still, he'd been told to come here.

He looked on anxiously as the spaceship made contact with the burning space. Surprisingly, nothing happened. Jake let out a sigh of relief—but it didn't last long.

The moment he entered, something inside him stirred.

Dread.

He was surrounded by a massive number of terrifying, planetary-realm beings. They stood at least five meters tall, with scales, horns, long claws, and monstrous forms.

Boom… boom…

The spaceship shook as they struck it.

Jake observed them closely.

"So… this is the demon race," he thought, fascinated. He doubted they could dent his spaceship. But when Nix told him to come here, she never said anything about staying inside.

Jake gritted his teeth, torn about what to do. Just then, the spaceship's deck opened—and a force threw him out.

"Wait, what?!" Jake was stunned, finding himself face-to-face with the demons. The spaceship was gone—nowhere to be seen.

"Damn… but it's okay. None of them are at the peak of the planetary realm. Even if they were, I should still be stronger," Jake thought, just as a claw came slashing toward his face.

He raised a hand to block—but his expression changed.

Boom!

He was sent flying, blood spraying in space. His hand dangled broken, mangled and bleeding freely.

The demon that struck him paused, sniffing the blood. The others did too. It seemed oddly familiar to them, though faint.

Jake healed within seconds, but his body trembled. He was in shock.

This race... what the hell?

That demon was only at the early planetary realm—and yet it did this much damage?

Jake gulped, his eyes shifting to the low, middle, and high-tier planetary demons nearby.

If they attack… I might die instantly.

With no choice, Jake began to transform into his other form.

Just as he completed the transformation, a claw slammed into his chest.

"Fuck…" Jake coughed out blood.

His vision blurred. The same demon had attacked again, but this time it was stronger. Multiple ribs were broken, and he felt his heart had been slightly pierced.

"Are outsiders really this weak?" one of the demons asked, as the rest glanced around, bored.

"Yeah, same with the ones in this galaxy. Our master should've just let us invade the whole multiverse and take it down. The Abyss is way stronger than this multiverse," another added.

"Are you idiots? If our master did that, it'd be wiped clean in minutes. No—our master wants to own this multiverse," a stronger one snapped. The others paused, then laughed in agreement.

"You're right, hahaha! But this one… he has traces of the demon bloodline. He's one of us," one observed.

"Yes, but so weak—even weaker than the Aerons. Is he a demon too? Pathetic," another mocked.

They lost interest and turned away.

"Let's go destroy another galaxy!" one of them roared, and the others followed, their bloodlust rising.

Just then, Jake felt something within him stir violently.

"Shit… I can't hold it anymore…"

He began breaking through.

The demons sensed it but didn't care. To them, he was too weak—his soul wasn't even valuable. Simply put, he was one of them… just pathetically so.

Space creaked as Jake's aura surged, multiplying. His body charged and morphed, growing taller—now three meters in height.

But more than his form was changing—his genes shifted, and he connected to something deeper. An element…

He became something else.

No longer bound to the multi-universe system of storing energy in genes, Jake transitioned into the elemental and law-based system of the demons.

He became stronger… faster… more intricate.

He opened his eyes as time distorted and space cracked, then healed itself. His aura was stable—Galaxy Level 1.

A Rank 2 powerhouse.

Suddenly, his thoughts faded. An ancient urge consumed him.

He followed the demons.

He was hungry. Thirsty.

He wanted to devour.

Boom!

Space crumbled as he caught up with them.

"Haha! He's hungry," one demon laughed.

"He sure is. Well, let's go then and feast," another replied as they looked at the bloodthirsty Jake, now growling like a feral beast.

The army surged forward, heading toward the nearest galaxy to attack.

Meanwhile…

"Kid…"

Just as Dared was deep in thought, planning his next move, a familiar voice echoed in his mind.

"Oh… so my evil ancestor decides to show up now? What do you want?" Dared asked, his tone wary. He'd be a fool not to question this so-called ancestor.

"Haha, relax. I see you're in a pickle with the prince," Azerak chuckled.

"Yeah, and as you can see, I'm busy figuring out what to do. Do you have something useful to say?" Dared replied, irritated.

Silence.

"Hmph. Just as I thought—useless. Probably just wants to control my body or whatever his real plan is…" Dared thought, sighing. No matter how much he thought about it, it all came down to one thing: strength. Ever since they became that, he'd been feeling an urge—something dark. Like a desire to kill..no to eat something...

"How about if I had a way to make you stronger?" Azerak finally said after a few seconds.

"Not interested," Dared snapped.

Azerak: "..."
