Chapter 214: Awakening My Divine Bloodline (1/3)

The first page that actually explained how to do this said that I needed to be in a safe place alone. I looked at the chamber around me with a blank expression. It felt like I was being mocked in some strange way.

Regardless, I kept on reading, learning about how to infuse the blood into my own and how to avoid any mistakes.

Once I finished reading, I started the process of setting everything up. I grabbed one of the vials out of the compartment and sat on the floor, coiling my tail in a circle around me, but leaving some space in between my tail and my body as instructed.

When I was in position, I double checked the instructions before proceeding. And after making sure that I was as ready as I could be, I began the process.

And the first thing that I had to do was cut myself. Enough to bleed all over the vial and completely soak it in my blood. The more blood you soaked into it the better.

So, raising my right arm, I slashed at the underside of my forearm with three of my left fingers, using the last one and my thumb to hold the vial. I made sure to leave some hefty gashes in my arm.

It stung a lot and I didn’t have long before my regeneration kicked in. So, I lifted my right arm up and held my left one open underneath the stream of blood and made sure to thoroughly soak the vial in it.

While I soaked the vial, I also made sure to use my mana to imprint the blood into the vial itself. This step was meant to make it so that the vial would make the blood inside said vial resonate with mine, making it so that when I do come around to infusing the blood into mine, it’s a lot easier.

I kept doing that until the blood had practically stopped thanks to my [Regeneration], making sure to roll the vial in the blood spilling into my hand as well, just to make sure that I was completely covering it.

The next step was actually rather simple, which was just to wait a little bit for the vial to properly adjust to the changes. This was nice as it allowed me to rest for a bit and check that I’m following the instructions properly once more.

Sighing in relief that I was indeed doing everything correctly, I checked the next steps again before actually doing them.

The first of which required me to bite into my bloodied hand and suck my own blood up through my fangs. It was like injecting venom into someone or something, but in reverse.

I wasn’t sure why I had to do it like this, but I wasn’t about to question these methods as I had no other way to tell if they would work or not other than actually doing them. And besides, it seems to be quite easy to perform for the most part.

The pain I can deal with easy enough. It’s just making sure that I do every step right, not fucking up. If I did fuck up, I at least had two more chances, but I’d rather not waste any of this blood if I can.

So, I did as the next step told, and bit into my left palm with my fangs and tried to suck up my blood, more specifically, the any and all blood infused with the tiniest traces of mana from before. I couldn’t just add some in now or else that would fuck the process up somehow. It didn’t explain how, it just said it would.

Anyways, I struggled to basically be a vampire as I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to do this, and there wasn’t anything in the book that said how to do it. I tried to see if I could forcefully reverse the way I inject venom, but that just made my fangs hurt a lot.

Another method I tried out was breathing. And I know what you’re thinking, how would that work? And the way that it works is by trying to do the same as before, except instead of forcing it, I did in tandem with my breathing.

Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to work either and I just filled my nose with the intense smell of blood. My hand was also starting to sting as well with how long my fangs were in there and my [Regeneration] trying to regenerate my skin.

I had to forcefully supress my [Regeneration] which wasn’t good as that meant that I couldn’t focus on the main task. I was also starting to get a little dizzy now, having to hold this position and constantly smell and taste my own blood.

At some point I couldn’t hold on any more and took my fangs out and let my flesh regenerate as I couldn’t hold that position any more. And as I let my arm and my jaws rest, I thought about how I could do this. And with nothing else to go on, I checked the book one more time to see if I missed anything.

And it seems that I didn’t miss anything, so I turned back to the tablet. So I took out the vials that I put inside and closed the compartment and to my surprise, when the compartment sealed up and it turned back into a tablet, the method on how to do what I was just trying to do was right there.

I wasn’t sure why this wasn’t at least mentioned in the book, but hey, who am I to argue? I have what I want now.

So I bit my hand once again and followed the technique on the tablet.

Either way, I now had to move onto the next step, which was to uncork the vial I soaked in blood and perform what I just did with the blood inside of there, splitting it perfectly between my fangs.

And unlike when I did it with my blood, it felt really weird when I did it with this blood, it almost felt like my glands were inflating because of this foreign substance.

Still, the next steps would be the hardest ones to do, as what I had to do next was going to be truly painful.

As what I had to do next, was bite my tail and inject the blood into it, and drag it through all of my veins... I should’ve practiced something like this beforehand...

Too late to turn back now though, so, I raised the end of my tail and brought it up to my mouth and bit down on it.
