A Professor of Magic at Hogwarts
Chapter 635: Encouragement for Tom Riddle - (2)

Harry wondered if it was a holiday, maybe the weekend? No, he immediately realized the problem—they were no longer in the 'real' world.

Suddenly, a young student shouted, "Armor Shield!"

Ron's scream was drowned in his throat. Their vision was filled with golden flames as a dark figure flashed by, shattering the windows and leaving a burning hole in the library wall. Another figure flew out through the hole.

Harry was stunned. The nonverbal Shield Charm he instinctively cast was on the verge of collapsing, with golden flames sticking to the magical barrier. Hermione finally snapped out of it, extending her hand with shimmering magical symbols, and the golden flames, like tired birds, obediently came under her control.

The library's flames were extinguished, and moonlight streamed through the burned hole. A firebird hovered above Hermione's head, and she controlled it effortlessly, letting it perch on her shoulder. The sharp-eyed, flaming creature showcased her incredible control.

"Is that... Professor Snape?" Ron awkwardly spoke, his eyes almost popping out. "But who's the other one?"

"Tom Riddle," Harry said with a complicated expression. "I think we stumbled into a—"

He choked. Stumbled into what? Memories? When did Professor Snape have dealings with the young Voldemort during his school years?

"A god, a mysterious person?" Ron exclaimed, almost biting his tongue in surprise.

"A young mysterious person," Hermione corrected. "I know what we should do. Follow me!" She ran out from behind the bookshelves, standing by the wall, gazing into the distance where flashes of spells lit up, two figures battling.

"What should we do?" Ron asked.

"Fight, then find the professors and get some answers," Hermione said angrily.

Passing through the sizzling burned walls with spells, they ran towards the source of the flames. Harry caught up with Hermione, panting. "Shouldn't we save the young Tom Riddle?" he asked.

"I guess," Hermione bit her lip.

The battlefield was in sight. In Harry's mind, the image of Riddle flashed—a tall figure with pale skin, jet-black shiny hair, and black eyes. He had seen this appearance in Dumbledore's Pensieve through Professor Slughorn's provided memories.

"Tom, your magic is what I taught you," Felix spoke with a deep voice, casting powerful spells silently, plowing the ground with intricate patterns of deep furrows. Bushes and cotton plants cut off at the waist transformed into countless sharp, glinting daggers, covering half the sky. Tom Riddle looked at this scene in awe.

He never thought Dumbledore would hide so deeply! He actually created Horcruxes! Tom accidentally found out about it, but he couldn't find detailed records. Dumbledore must have taken them away.

Tom wanted to buy time; there were other professors in the school, including Headmaster Dippet. As long as he could delay until they found out, he could survive. Tom felt annoyed. Why did they have to start with violence? Couldn't they talk?

However, from the cold and murderous face, Tom dared not have any expectations. He raised a shield from thin air, barely blocking the onslaught of thousands of daggers. The tremendous force lifted him high, and as he loosened his right wrist, the wand flew out.

He lay on the ground, looking up at the person with a cold smile.

"Avada Kedavra—"

A firebird descended, blocking the Killing Curse with its body. The golden firebird let out a mournful cry, turning green, then quickly disappeared. Tom gasped; he had never felt death so close. He didn't want to die. He had never realized it so clearly. Horcrux... damn it, he also wanted to make Horcruxes.

But did he still have a chance? Tom felt a hint of despair; Dumbledore obviously destroyed all that knowledge. Harry and the others had surrounded Felix.

"Professor, I'm angry," Hermione said.

Felix subtly froze, then showed a polite smile, looking sinister.

"Could you tell us your background? Judging by your age, you should be students at the school? But I've never seen you..." Harry asked.

"I am Albus Dumbledore," Felix said softly.

"You're Dumbledore?" Ron's eyes bulged. Fortunately, he was facing away from Riddle. But from the voice alone, it sounded like questioning.

Harry was dumbfounded. Professor Snape, are you using someone else's name like this? Does Headmaster Dumbledore know? Hermione rolled her eyes and said, "We are looking for you! Tom, Tom Riddle, run!" she stammered.

Riddle was completely confused. Having just experienced a major turning point, his mind was not as clear. But he could tell that these three seemed to have come for him, or for Dumbledore?

What's going on?

No one explained. The battle began. Harry, Ron, and Hermione cooperated seamlessly, showing strength beyond the young Voldemort of their age. He was only in the fifth year, excellent but within limits, without the baptism of war.

During the battle, Felix's lips moved slightly, and Hermione saw him nod almost imperceptibly. Then Felix suddenly exclaimed, "Time Turner! You've come from the future using a Time Turner!"

"Yes!" Hermione shouted. "Your conspiracy won't succeed, Dumbledore! You can't kill Tom; he will become the leader of our resistance against your evil rule in the future."

Harry felt everything was too absurd, even if it were a dream—no, he didn't have such a unique imagination.

"Harry, use the Patronus that Mr. Riddle taught you!" Hermione shouted again.

Ron almost stumbled. Hermione was the most aware. Harry was half-knowledgeable, and he... better not interrupt.

Harry hesitated before suppressing the awkward feeling and uttered the familiar spell.

"Expecto Patronum!"

A creature emerged from the wand, a huge silver beam brighter than the moon. Hogwarts Castle was bathed in a silver-blue halo, rippling like ripples in the sea, inspiring everyone.

Harry's Patronus made too much noise. Lights turned on in various rooms in the castle.

On the ground, Riddle looked incredulous. Was this a Patronus? How could it be so powerful? Moreover—did he teach this in the future? For a moment, he developed a strong interest in this ancient magic.

"Who dares to harm Hogwarts students?" A thunderous voice echoed from the headmaster's office.

"Headmaster Dippet!" Riddle exclaimed in surprise.

An old man with a white beard flew out of the tower window. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Then Felix, realizing something, spoke in a bone-chilling tone, "You've ruined my plan—Avada Kedavra!"

Dazzling green light illuminated Harry, Ron, and Hermione's faces, freezing them in place.

In the following three days, a continuous stream of major news—The potential successor to the headmaster position, Dumbledore, was confirmed to be a dark wizard. He had fled the school but later broke into the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries, seizing all the Time Turners. His actions were related to his experiences in his youth; he aimed to resurrect someone who had been dead for over forty years. Four students were involved in the battle; only one luckily survived, but Headmaster Dippet refused to disclose more information.

In someone's consciousness, the

war had begun.

...

Harry suddenly opened his eyes, breathing heavily. Luna held up a creature cheerfully—a foot tall, adorned with curved horns, a long nose somewhat like an elephant's but shorter, and a stubby body covered in thick silver-brown fur.

Room number seven.

Felix stood up and said, "Almost forgot, I'm not actually a good person." He smacked his lips, seemingly savoring that experience. After adding magical restrictions to Voldemort and giving him more time, he leisurely returned to his office.

As he pushed open the bedroom door, he heard intense knocking outside the office.

"Professor—Professor—hurry, open the door—"

Felix felt a headache.

Did he act too realistically? Were his students worried that he had gone astray?
