Chapter 27: Killing Them All

ASHER BLACKWOOD

The djinn in front of me was menacing in size and aura but it was nothing close to the level of Radkiel, Gabriel or Samiel.

I stared at him, his giant axe resting on his shoulder.

He moved at amazing speed, so fast that it seemed like he teleported. I was shocked at this, he was even faster than me with Godspeed active.

He hit me with such force that it felt like my bones were being broken. I flew back like a torpedo, destroying multiple buildings in path.

"His strength is out of this world, would be comparable to that of Prince Arin." I said to myself and got up immediately.

"Is that all the power you have human?" I heard the voice from behind me again and a mighty swing as well. I crouched down speedily and the wind from the axe cut up whatever that was in it’s path for 10 kilometers.

I dealt an uppercut to the djinn which sent it flying upwards and then followed up with a heavy kick to it’s midsection from the sky which sent it crashing down.

The djinn couldn’t move and I made no attempt to finish it off.

"Now, tell me why you hate humans." I said to it, it’s being behaving like a glitching videogame.

"Your humans have been oppressing our kind since time immemorial. Until the Great Djinn, our current leader freed us from your tyranny." The djinn replied.

"Is that so?" I asked with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

I gathered the Essence into my fist and punched so hard the entire island reverberated, killing the djinn.

I looked around and saw there were no djinns left to kill in this area which meant I had to move on.

This entire planet was overridden by djinns. Radkiel and Gabriel knew this that’s why they sent me here.

I sat down on the floor and opened up my bag to eat apples. With the island basically clear, I could act as nonchalantly as I wanted.

It was then I heard a voice in my head. "Asher, you there?"

I would recognize that voice anywhere. It was Radkiel the demigod. What did he want from me at this moment?

"What is it you want this time Radkiel?" I asked, not hiding my anger and frustration at the stupid quest he gave me.

"I see you’ve eradicated all the djinns on Zom Island." He said to me in a proud yet soothing manner.

"Yes I have." I replied.

"Then, you should probably destroy that entire island." He laughed at his own words.

"Why is that?"

"Well, the djinns would respawn in the place where they were born." Radkiel revealed.

"So this place has to go boom?" I asked jokingly.

"Yes it has to go boom." And at that moment, Radkiel’s touch vanished from my mind.

I sighed to myself and looked around the entire island. One thing was clear, I needed another place to stay for a while.

I covered my eyes and looked through the planet with my clairvoyance, trying to see which was the best possible place to live at the moment.

I sensed life on a continent not too far from me, and the amount of energy I was sensing from there told me that the djinns there were more powerful than the ones I’d just killed.

But it didn’t matter, I would keep on killing each and every one of them till I finished my mission.

I raised my index finger and a tiny ball of energy appeared. I pressed it into the ground and left the island the instant it started to crumble.

In mere moments, I was on the continent where I had previously sensed powerful life.

I looked around and immediately felt tremors. They were coming, the djinns on this continent were on their way here.

I turned to the direction of the intense tremors and moved my hand so fast that to the naked eye it didn’t move at all.

"Spectral Void Slash."

Space in front of me cracked. Radkiel had warned me not to use this move too much or it would not bode well for the world but then again, I was sent here to destroy this one.

The djinns in the direction of my attack were eliminated immediately, their non-corporeal bodies irrelevant to such an attack.

A gathered my Essence, and condensed it to a point where it would suck anything within it’s range.

"Dark Star." A medium sized mass of dark energy flowed in the direction of the djinns. I could hear their wails as they were being sucked in.

The trees and buildings in the area were being sucked in as well.

"Seize." The dark star stopped.

I walked towards the direction of the carnage and saw the utter destruction that was left in my wake.

I couldn’t help but smile. I was getting stronger. Soon, I would be strong enough to take my revenge.

I then heard Radkiel’s voice in my head again. "Asher, this is tiring. You’ve been at this for a whole year."

"I’m just enjoying the thrill." I replied laughing.

"It’s pointless, there’s no thrill there. The djinns are too weak to even pose a 0.01% chance of defeating you." He said to me.

"What then do you suggest I do?" I asked sarcastically. I knew what he wanted me to do but I wanted him to say it first.

"Destroy the world and come back here." He replied and his presence left my head.

I sighed once more. I gathered a suitable amount of Essence which made the world tremble.

Space cracked and reality shook to the point where it wasn’t holding up.

I snapped my fingers and in the silence that followed uttered a single word.

"Oblivion."

The entire universe destroyed by my attack, eradicated and erased as if it never existed.

I stood, floating in the void.

A portal opened in front of me and u walked right in. On the other side, I was back at the beautiful garden.

Radkiel was at his table drinking tea.

"I have another mission for you."
