Chapter 93: Chapter 92: Port Livia

The waves crashed, the cold wind blew the sails forward. The stars hung high in the sky, the moon shone brighter than usual.

The ship came to a stop among the many others, as Zoey and her crew had finally reached a town where they can rest for a bit, Port Livia, a place where merchants and travellers come to stay.

"We’re here." Zoey said, taking her hands of the wheel as the ship came to a stop, the sails folded as they stopped taking the wind.

They had been sailing the seas for hours, while Zoey continued to defend them from the multitude of horrors of the sea, each one getting stronger than the last, and more difficult to deal with.

The crew immediately started moving, as they came off the ship, stepping onto the cold street pavements.

"There are others here..." Evan murmured as he looked at the ships of other pirates who seemed to also be visiting Port Livia, his eyes narrowing in suspicion as he turned around to face Zoey.

"Captain, maybe it’s not safe here. If word has spread out about us having the [Hydra’s Tear], then many of the pirates are going to be on our necks." Evan told her, his tone full of worry.

’Oh, he doesn’t have to worry about that.’ Zoey smiled, placing a hand on Evan’s shoulder in a gesture of reassurance.

"It’s fine, they won’t dare to attempt anything as long as I’m here." She said, her eyes gleaming with a frightening intensity, her aura flaring up a bit as the air pulsated with extreme bloodlust for a moment, before it quickly dispersed as Zoey started to move forward, walking ahead everyone else.

"The treasure will be fine with me, don’t worry, nobody won’t dare to attack me, their practically signing their deaths that way." Zoey continued from a bit of a distance, her voice fading away slightly.

Evan looked at her for a moment, his eyes filled with worry. He sighed deeply, looking at the ground, "I hope the captain’s right about this." He muttered, his eyes falling on the net of stars in the sky.

Meanwhile, Zoey continued to walk through the cold and empty streets of Livia. The wind was the only sound that echoed in the darn place, followed by the sounds of a lively tavern nearby that immediately caught her attention.

’I guess I can explore this place a bit, I haven’t had anything to eat lately.’ Zoey thought, turning around a corner as she walked towards the tavern which bustled with life.

The sounds of partying, drinking, and people laughing grew louder and louder the closer she got, fueling her hungry desire for a nice meal.

Zoey grabbed the doors of the tavern as she pushed them open, the partying atmosphere blowing onto her face as the air immediately changed.

Pirates, merchants, and some citizens were partying, eating and drinking, while a soft music was being played in the background by some musicians.

As soon as Zoey entered the building, all eyes were on her, and as if on cue, everyone stopped with what they were doing, their hungry gazes falling onto Zoey with a deep and frightening intensity.

’....’ Zoey remained quiet, growing increasingly uncomfortable from all the stares as she started to sweat a bit.

She moved, walking towards an empty seat as she took her seat at the table, resting her arms on the table.

Zoey could feel a variety of emotions in the air as she sat there in silence, some were terrified as they knew of the captain of the Steel Blade Pirates, while others looked at her with extreme bloodlust, the rumors of the [Hydra’s Tear] already reaching them, and they were dying to get it.

"Isn’t that Felicia, what is she doing here in Livia?" A whisper caught her attention, as she discretely eyed the crew of pirates that were sitting a way further from her, her guard immediately raised.

"I heard that they managed to get the [Hydra’s Tear], isn’t that the last piece needed to gain access to Larcov’s Ancient Tomb? There’s no way they actually managed to kill that giant monster, right?"

"These rumors have to be fake, otherwise, I’d kill her right now and take the [Hydra’s Tear] for myself."

The whispers around her turned more and more dangerous than ever, as many pirates were quitely scheming on how to kill Felicia and take the [Hydra’s Tear] from her, as this treasure was one that many pirates tried to secure for years.

But they all fell at the hands of the monster, it’s strength was too much for them to take on, even with help from multiple captains and enemies alike.

In a few moments, the atmosphere seemigly returned to normal, with everyone chatting and drinking as usual. But little did they know that Zoey already heard all of what they said, her [Heightened Senses] Talent being used to actively listen to their words.

"Heh, they’re planning on ambushing me? An all out brawl? Heh, cute~" Zoey muttered to herself, shaking her head as her eyes gleamed with a physcotic madness.

"Um, h-hi! What will you be having tonight?" The sound of a woman reached her ears as Zoey looked to her side, noticing a young woman asking a group of pirates for their order.

"Heh, are you an option?" A creepy, perverted man asked, flashing a toothy grin as his yellow teeth came into view. In an instant, the man moved his hand behind her waist, spanking the young woman hard on her butt as his crewmates laughed.

"No...stop!" The young woman begged, trying to move away, but the pervert quickly snatched her waist as he brought her nearer to him, his eyes gleaming with malice and lust.

"Aww, don’t be that way, mate. I can give you a real good time~" The pirate grinned, as his friends enjoyed the perverted act.

"Hey! Don’t be selfish, I want a turn too."

"Yeah, me too. Hahahaha!"

They laughed, but in the next instant, a frightening chill spread through the room as they felt a tremendous amount of bloodlust consume them all, fear immediatwly settling into their bones.

They hesitantly turned to see Zoey, her expression full of fury as her eyes glowed a demonic crimson, her aura flaring around her like a raging flame as she stared at the group of pirates that were harrasing the girl.

"Stop that, now." She uttered one command, and immediately the pirates let go of her, their bodies trembling with fear.

The woman finally stepped away from the group of perverts, sighing as she was finally able to catch a breather from the chaos. She looked at Zoey with a confused expression, she didn’t expect to be saved from a pirate.

She needed to repay her kindness to this woman, even if they were a pirate, they still helped her out when everyone else chose to ignore the sickening act.

"H-hi." The woman approached Zoey nervously, her voice shaking slightly.

"Hello there, sorry, I should’ve acted sooner." Zoey apologized, but the woman shook her head.

"N-no it’s fine. I deeply appreciate your help, thank you. Would you like to order anything?" She asked, her tone more calm and sweet.

"Nothing much, just some soup would do." Zoey said, to which the woman quickly nodded and walked away.

After a few minutes, the woman had returned with Zoey’s requested meal, gently putting it on the table for her.

"Here you are." The young woman said, flashing a kind smile.

"Thank you." Zoey said, and the woman nodded as she went to attend the others.

Zoey started to eat her soup, the taste wasn’t anything fancy considering the stuff that could be eaten in her world, but it would do for now.

"I don’t know if attacking her is a good idea cap, just a second ago, I couldn’t move an inch." A nervous and trenbling pirate whispered

"You don’t have a choice, this is the only chance we’ve got to getting the [Hydra’s Tear] for ourselves, and I’m not giving this precious opportunity up. You either die by hand, or mine." The captain threatened in a low deep, and frightening tone.

"O-of course!" The trembling pirate quickly agreed, as he didn’t want to be killed by their scary captain.

Zoey grinned, smirking as she enjoyed her food. She didn’t pay them any mind, as even if they all were to gang up on her, she wouldn’t struggle much killig them alll.

After the meal, Zoey payed the waitress as she took her leave and stepped out into the cold night.

As she walked, she heard footsteps following her. Knowing this, she smirked, going into an alley way, and as expected, the greedy fools followed her to their doom.

"Hand over the [Hydra’s Tear]" A deep voice commanded, taking out their sword as they pointed it at Zoey.

Zoey laughed, her chilling voice echoing off the walls.

"No, I don’t think so." Zoey grinned, her eyes flashing with bloodlust.
