Chapter 85: Chapter 84: Where We Part Ways

"Sis..." Lana watched in concern as she heard the orders of her older sister, she felt incredibly guilty about their attack missing the silver wolf, leading to their teamates suffering some injuries.

Celina stood tall in a sword stance, her hair long golden hair blowing in the cold air around them, her body surrounded by a bright blue aura as she stared at the Boss with a fiery determination in her eyes.

’She’s taking it on alone?’ Zoey thought, suprised. But there was no denying the fiery aura radiating from her.

Celina breathed out slowly, dashing towards the Boss with immense speeds, her feet pounding on the ground as she pushed herself the hardest she has ever done.

The silver wolf charged another wind blast in it’s mouth, the air around it swirling violently as the attack charged with a powerful concentration of Mana.

Celina however, wasn’t terrified, she narrowed her eyes in concentration as she eyes the blast. Her hands gripped her sword, positioning it perfectly for the time it was bound to strike, and she wasn’t just going to hit it once.

The wolf roared as it let out a powerful wind blast towards her, the ground breaking apart and splitting away as it hurled towards her at frightening speeds and power, the air around it twisting violently.

Celina leaped to the side, dodging the attack, the wind blast flying past her and crashing brutally into the walls, causing the whole Boss room to rumble and tremble slightly.

Celina landed on her feet swiftly, and broke a sprint once again, running towards the Boss.

The Boss snarled under it’s breath, seeing that it didn’t manage to hit the girl. It soon charged up another wind blast and fired it right at her, but as expected, Celina dodged it again effortlessly, the distance between the two growing shorter and shorter by the second.

The Boss started to fire wind blast after wind blast, growing desperate as it saw her closing in faster and faster than it could charge an attack.

Celina continued to dodge the Boss’s attacks, leaning to the side, jumping, sidestepping, she moved like a seasoned warrior in that moment, her movement charged by a surge of adrenaline and determination.

Before the could charge yet another attack, Celina was already in it’s face, sword raised, eyes focused, and aura flaring like a flame.

"Haaah!!" She roared, delivering a strong slash at the Boss’s face, managing to cut it at it’s eye, dealing effective damage as the Boss roared in pain, thrashing around wildly.

Celina wasn’t done yet, as she quickly followed up with a flurry of sword slashes all over the Boss’s body, dealing serious damage as the Boss started to bleed all over, it’s strength fading and it’s doom inevitable.

’I’m so close, I just need to finish it off now!’ Celina thought, raising her sword behind her head as she gathered her strength, before slashing at it’s calves, causing the Boss to drop to the floor as ir fell to the ground with a crash, it’s pained roars growing louder as it struggled to even keep track of her at this point.

She was way too fast for the Boss to keep track off, her movement speed and her attacks were extremely effective against it, as it couldn’t even deal serious damage to her, she just kept avoiding it’s attacks with her impressive speeds.

Celina continued to slash at each one of it’s calves, rendering the Boss immobile as it couldn’t even muster the strength to stand anymore, it’s death was inevitable, it’s blood painted the rough ground beneath it red, it’s breaths shallow.

Celina panted, tired from all the running and attacking, her lungs on fire. Her sword was extremely chipped, cracks appearing over it’s form a bit. The Boss’s hide was strong and very hard to get through, requiring her to use more and more strength and stamina each time she had to deliver an attack, causing her Stamina to be exhausted rather quickly.

"It’s over!" She declared, running towards the Boss one last time, leaping high into the air as she raised her sword above her head, delivering the final blow.

STAB!!!

Celina crashed down hard like a meteor, impaling the blade into the Boss’s skull with brutal strength, killing the Beast as it let dropped to the ground dead, it’s body going limp, and it’s presence of Mana disappearing from the world.

’....’ Zoey stared at Celina with wide eyes, her face full of surprise and shock as she stared at the scene infront of her eyes. She had never seen Celina move like that, her speed and grace was simply astonishing.

’She...actually managed to kill it by herself...’Zoey chuckled to herself, amazed by Celina’s progress.

The Hunters too were surprised by what they were seeing wondering if the Boss was truly dead, a deafening silence filled the Boss room for a few seconds, before the rest of the Hunters erupted in cheers, everyone yelling at the top of their voices in sheer happiness and accomplishment.

"YEAHHHHH!!!"

"The Boss is dead!!!"

"We did it!!!"

The Hunters celebrated as they continued to cheer, some even hugged each other, and others were just happy that they managed to survive in the end, a few of them even on the brink of tears.

"Sis!!!" Lana ran from the group of Mages she was with towards her sister, leaping toward her as she tackled Celina with a hug, throwing them both to the ground.

"Ouch! Lana!" Celina scolded as she fell to the ground, her eyes wide in surprise and her cheeks a little flushed from the sudden affectionate attack.

"Hehe~You were awesome!" Lana said, giggling softly.

Zoey smiled, seeing the interaction between the two sisters as she started to approach them.

"Great job Celina, you managed to clear the Dungeon, that’s something to be really proud of. You’ve certainty surprised me once again with that amazing display earlier, it just shows how right I was when picking you for the position of leader during this raid." Zoey said, helping the two girls up as she proceeded to pat them gently.

"Hehe~" Lana giggled, smiling affectionately as she received headpats from Zoey.

"Miss Zoey..I got something for you." Celina started, her tone a bit soft.

’Oh? Did she manage to get a Drop? On her first dungeon raid too?’ Zoey thought, raising a brow curiously.

"What is it?" She asked.

Celina took out her hand, a bright blue glow radiating from it as two daggers manifested into her palm.

The daggers were both made of a sleek metallic steel, that shined in the dimly lit Boss room. Their shape resembled the fangs of a Beast, something akin to a saber tooth tiger.

’Daggers?’ Zoey thought, taking the blades from Celina’s hand as she observed them more closely. She ran a finger on the blade, marvelling at it’s sharpness and uniqueness.

[Silver Fang Blades(F+)]

The name of the Item popped up beside her, it wasn’t anything impressive, as it was just an F-Rank Weapon at the end of the day, it wouldn’t be of use to her, so she couldn’t dare take something like this from Celina. She needed it more.

F-Rank items were practically useless in higher ranked raids, such as C-Rank and B-Rank, they’d immediately break upon coming in contact with the enemies, and if they were lucky enough not to break, they’d practically deal zero damage.

"Thank you, I really appreciate the thought, but I can’t take this." Zoey said, handing the daggers back to Celina.

Celina looked like she was about to protest and insist for her to accept the daggers, but as soon as Zoey patted her head once more, her words caught up in her throat, rendering her unable to say a word.

"I just wanted to show appreciation for you, Miss Zoey." Celina said, her tone low and soft as a whisper, her eyes trailing somewhere else.

Zoey smiled warmly, "I know, but you need these way more than I do. Those Items will be of great help to you starting out, plus, you could use them as replacement for your sword. It’s gotten badly chipped and could probably break if swung once more." Zoey said.

Celina looked at the daggers in her hand, bringing them up to her chest as she took in a deep breath, and slowly exhaling. She looked back at Zoey and smiled warmly, nodding her head.

"Alright everyone! It’s time we get out of the Dungeon right now, the entrance would only be available for a few minutes, so unless you want to get trapped inside here, we should all start moving immediately." Zoey said to all the Hunters.

The Hunters immediately understood and started to walk out of the Boss room, Zoey took Celina and Lana’s hands as she started to walk out with them.

’I never thought I’d find myself growing attached to these kids,’ Zoey chuckled to herself. Normally, she wouldn’t even dare interact with anyone but Christine, due to her hatred for the people that mocked her existence, but after spending some time in the Apocalypse with those she saved, Zoey realized that some people are worth protecting.

"Miss Zoey, what are we going to do next after this?" Celina thought, expecting them to be doing another Dungeon raid, as Dungeons were all over the City.

Zoey remained silent for a moment as they walked, before replying.

"I’ve taught you all everything you need to know about being a Hunter, and now my job is complete in this world." Zoey said, looking at Celina who had a face of shock plastered onto her face, realizing what Zoey is implying by those words, her heart clenching.

"Are you..."

Zoey nodded bitterly, her gaze landing on the ceiling above them.

"I’m going to return back to my home world."
