Chapter 42: Chapter 41: King of the Lizardmen Falls! Zoey’s Overwhelming Victory!

The sight, was a perculiar one to say the least. The inside of the Boss Room, was nothing sort of...grand. Tall pillars stood in the middle of the Boss Room, glowing runes as well as reptilian symbols were painted on all of them, pulsing with a small glow.

The room was dark, but not even the darkness could conquer Zoey’s vision as her gaze fell on three imposing figures at the end of the Boss Room.

One sat on a grand throne, with a large spear in their hand, and one it’s side, were two more figures that had sharp claws, that easily reached the floor with how long they were, their scales glinted dangerously in the dark room.

’The Lizardmen King...and those two must be it’s generals.’ Zoey observed as she could easily identify them, a grin formed on her face as an excited chuckle left her lips.

’This won’t take long, I’ll make sure to enjoy this.’ Zoey contemplated as she started to walk towards the throne, her steps heavy and radiating with confidence, power so strong eminating from her body that sent cold chills down their spines.

The Lizardmen King anxiously rose from its throne, grabbing onto it’s large spear as it looked down at the human that was half it’s size approaching it, yet it couldn’t deny the terrifying aura that radiated off this Human, something far stronger than he could ever hope to battle.

The two Lizardmen Generals looked at each other, their eyes showed deep concern and fear, but they had to fight nonetheless, to protect their their king.

They glared at Zoey who approached them with rage in their eyes, as their scales shown dangerously, a skill was activated in that moment that send a strong gush of wind blasting out, dust bursting, and the floor trembling slightly as their bodies radiated with power.

’Oh?’ Zoey thought with a suprised raised brow, noticing the power of the Lizardmen Generals increasing dramatically. She watched as the Lizardmen Generals began to approach her, their muscles and scales buldging with power.

’A Physical Enhancement Skill? That would be nice to have.’ Zoey thought as she took a deep breath, taking Mana into her lungs with [Concentration Breathing] as she felt the powers of her [Fireball] Skill being raised, before outstretching her palm and firing a barrage of flames at the Lizardmen Generals, and their king.

The flames moved faster than the Lizardmen Generals could anticipate, a flicker of suprise flashing on their face. The flames exploded instantly upon coming in contact with them, a blood curdling scream echoing from tne dust cloud that engulfed them whole.

The Lizardmen were heavily burned, they immediately rushed out of the dustclouds with devastating speeds, their sharp claws ready to tear Zoey to shreds. They quickly closed the distance, flanking her from both sides as they clawed at her.

"Hehe~" Zoey giggled playfully as she dodged both strikes, swaying left and right with ease, before leaping back a few metres to create distance.

"Hm?" Just then, Zoey felt a presence at her side as her eyes narrowed and locked onto the Lizardmen King that quickly appeared beside her, It’s huge spear raised high to strike her down as it’s body was radiating with power far higher than the Lizardmen Generals, It’s muscles buldging and it’s scales glowing.

The Lizardmen struck hard, a massive dust cloud forming as a powerful gust of wind and debre spread out. The ground trembling as a massive crater formed at the ground below them, a victorious cackle escaping the Lizardmen King’s lips as it thought it had won in that moment.

’!!!’ It’s eyes widened in shock and suprise as it gazed at the figure of Zoey, who had blocked the attack with her [Volt Requiem] Sword, the blade humming with a thunderous, destructive pressure.

A powerful crimson glow eminated from her body as [Hardened Will] was activated, the air vanishing from the Lizardmen King’s lungs as it’s chest clenched, shock and terror spread on it’s face.

"Alright, my turn. Don’t die now," Zoey said playfully as she delivered a strong kick to the Boss’s chest, the sound of bones crunching filling the room as the figure of the Lizardmen King was flung back and flew into one of the pillars in the room, crashing through it with great force as it went on to crash into the walls of the Boss Room, causing the whole room to tremble slightly.

’Hahaha! My strength is so much higher! I didn’t even put that much force into that kick just now, I’m so overpowered!’ Zoey could help but grin excitedly, a triumphant laughter escaping her lips.

The Lizardmen Generals felt fear grip them hard, their eyes wide as they glanced at the terribly injured Lizardmen King, It’s body bleeding from inside out as multiple organs and bones were crushed, It’s spear lying limp on it’s side.

But it refused to give up, It’s figure rose from the rubble, despite the very critical condition it was in. The Lizardmen King let out a powerful war cry as it’s aura intensified, It’s scales shining brighter as power fueled them once again.

The Lizardmen King’s body seemed to be growing as it continued to power up, It’s body swelling with muscle as it’s eyes turned red.

It’s claws grew long and sharp, sharper than any blade as it clawed at the wind, four wind blades in the shapes of sharp claw marks flew from the Lizardmen King’s claw, rapidly approaching Zoey as they cut through the wind.

’Another good skill.’ Zoey thought as she leaped high into the air, dodging the wind blades as she watched them crash into the walls, terrifying slashes printed on them as the walls crumbled into rubble.

’Even though I’m a B-Ranker now, I don’t want to be hit by one of those.’ Zoey shook her head at the thought, her eyes widening slightly as she noticed the Lizardmen King charging an attack in it’s mouth.

A powerful flames started to form in it’s mouth, growing more intense with every second that passed. The Lizardmen King roared as the flames burst forward, painting the sky with deadly fire as Zoey observed the flames approaching her, her clothes starting to flap dangerously.

Zoey raised her leg as she activated [Grace Of The Wind], a powerful gust of wind forming beneath the soles of her feet as she was launched backward and into the wall of the Boss Room, quickly bringing her feet back as she used them to stop herself from brutally crashing into the wall.

’Hehe, it looks irritated.’ Zoey thought as she glanced at the Lizardmen King that was boiling with rage, her figure gracefully falling down and landing on one of the pillars.

She glanced down below at the Lizardmen, her gaze deviant, her smirk radiating with confidence that pissed off the Lizardmen King and it’s Generals.

The Lizardmen Generals dashed forward, before clawing at the pillar Zoey was standing on, breaking it apart as it crumbled.

But Zoey already moved quickly, landing gracefully on another pillar, continuing to grin mischievously as she watched the Lizardmen grow more furious.

The Lizardmen dashed forward once more, clawing another pillar down, but Zoey quickly leaped again, and again, and again.

The Lizardmen continued to play this game of cat and mouse as they clawed at the pillars, only for Zoey to land on another one. Finally, the last pillar was clawed, the room filled with nothing but rubble that spoke of its destruction.

Zoey landed on the ground with a graceful backflip, her two blades at her sides. The Lizardmen Generals rushed at her again, but this time, she decided that she had enough fun, as it was time to get serious.

Zoey let out a sigh, the air cold as her eyes narrowed in deep focus. She dashed forward, faster than what the Lizardmen Generals could follow, as she cleanly cut them in two with little-to-no effort, blood spraying out of their severed halfs, a look of shock plastered on their faces.

The Lizardmen King roared out in frustration as it leaped high into the air, raising it’s claws to strike her down. Zoey gripped onto [Knight’s Oath] as she blocked the attack of the Lizardmen King once again, this time striking with [Volt Requirem] as the blade hummed, thunder crackling with power as the blade met the Lizardmen King.

A powerful shock ran through the Lizardmen King’s body as it felt like every cell in it’s body was electrocuted, It’s figure shot into the walls of the Boss Room once again. It’s body hung limp, trembling and shivering as electricity fried it mindless, the scent of smoke coming from it.

’You’re not dead yet?’ Zoey thought surprised, she had expected the Lizardmen King to die after one strike, but it seemed that she greately underestimated it’s strength as it was still alive...though barely.

’I’ll put you out of your misery.’ Zoey said with a sigh as she pointed the edge of [Volt Requiem] at the Lizardmen King, electricity gathering at the tip as a bright orb of blinding light sparked to life, crackling and intensifying rapidly with every second that passed.

A powerful bolt of lightning left the blade as it instantly struck the Lizardmen King with a powerful lightning explosion, a massive dustcloud forming as the Boss Room trembled once more, a gigantic hole in it’s chest as it laid lifeless at the wall.

The Dungeon had been cleared.
