"Hah," Encircling Keith was a bunch of water. His eyes were closed as he concentrated; slowly, the water began to take on the form of a little lion. It pranced around him, being playful and whimsical. After moving it for some time, the water slowly dispersed into the air. Good for water magic. Keith was training in the barracks. Although it was expected, it was much longer than before. 

Further training was required since he would participate in the tournament. Knowing many people would be there, he needed to step up his game. Time for my body. He slowly stretched himself. 

He should be pretty strong. Despite Draezar's words, he noticed his body. Confidence and cockiness. However, there was composure. There was no doubt about him winning this tournament. A slight smirk appeared on his face. Pretty cocky. This was not the first time he faced off against someone like that. 

There was Todd Mills, Iston, and Alger. Wait, would Iston be considered in that category? He chuckled as he continued to stretch. After doing so, it was time to work on his footwork. He started to dash around the area. 

This is going to be an all-out brawl. From what Scarlet said the tournament was, magic and physical attacks were fair game. So they could come at him at any range.

"Are you planning to train alone the whole time?" Tharaziel asked.

“Mmhmm.” Keith nodded, “This isn’t the first time I trained alone.” And it would not be the last. Are you going to be watching me the whole day? While he continued to work out, the demon prince watched over him after his practice, and it did not stop any time soon. 

“Then train with me.”

"Hmm?" Keith paused as he turned to him. A smirk appeared next, “Sure, I don’t mind having a good spar.” It was the same situation as their first spar; the two continued to use magic against one another. However, after some time, the one who was face down was none other than Tharaziel. 

“Your stamina is lacking if you want to become a magical warrior.” Keith smiled. The demon prince was sprawled on the ground, huffing and also dead. That was how tired he was.

"What kind of absurd stamina do you have?" Keith had been practicing even after he was finished with his workout. That was absurd. The better question was, 

“...How did you know that I was planning to be a magical warrior?” A magical warrior was basically someone who could fight both front and back and could use magic at close range. A strong capable all-rounder

“Because you’ve been running around trying to build stamina.” Tharaziel was 

“...”

“Rest. I’m going to continue.” Keith was not done with his abilities as he continued to train himself.

“...Protect her.”

“Hmm?”

Tharaziel was about to pull his hair out, “Protect my big sister! I don’t need to say more, do I?” 

“...”

“That bastard can't marry her. He’s a scum.” Just the sight of him was enough to cause him to gag, “And the amount of people he’d toyed with and broken…”

Keith frowned when he heard that. His broken sentence was enough for him to understand what kind of person that man was. A man who treats others as nothing more than toys.  

“That’s why I don’t want to have my sister near him.” The thought alone was enough to cause him to freeze. He couldn't allow his sister to become a toy.

“That’s why you have to win!” Tharaziel glared. But that caused Keith to wave his hand, “I didn’t think you would tell me to win.”  

Tharaziel looked away, “My sister smiles the most when you’re beside her.” That was something he had realized; whenever Keith was with Scarlet, she would be smiling. However, when he wasn’t there, she showed a dark and cold one. 

That smile, he had never seen her like this before; it was quite soothing.

“If she’s going to marry someone, then it should be someone she likes.” 

“Aww, are you a tsundere?” Keith patted his head when he heard all of this. But that was when Tharaziel swatted it away, “But I will not accept you!” 

“How about a little more training.” Keith was still raring to go.”

“Fine!” Tharaziel was going to beat him!
