Chapter 91: A Furious Drexel

Chapter 91: A Furious Drexel

Despite a few more failed attacks, Arix wasn’t frustrated. Her main goal was to buy time and wait for help.

If the young man in front of her got serious, Arix felt she had no chance of winning.

It wasn’t that Arix was too weak; it was that this young man was too strong—not just in physical power, but in psychic power too. Arix had no confidence in defeating him!

Quispe also saw through Arix’s plan, but he wasn’t in a hurry. It was like a cat playing with a mouse before eating it, watching it struggle in despair before slowly devouring it.

Prey tasted better that way.

Just as Quispe was having fun, another young man appeared next to him.

"Quispe, what are you doing? If you don’t kill them quickly, the Alliance’s army will arrive," a young man said angrily. He had the same eyes as Quispe’s, yet his hair was blue.

"I don’t need you to tell me what to do, Hardy," Quispe said, clearly annoyed. He despised Hardy even more than these prey he wanted to kill.

"Hmph!" Hardy, just an ordinary insectoid prince, didn’t dare to argue with Quispe, the crown prince. Instead, he directed his anger at Arix.

Quispe didn’t stop him but watched with interest.

Hardy attacked Arix directly. Using his psychic power, he slammed her to the ground. Then, his hands turned into sharp spikes, aiming to stab Arix.

Arix rolled away awkwardly, dodging the spikes. Before she could catch her breath, Hardy attacked again.

"Arix, let’s help you," Cupid said in the psychic world, feeling worried.

"No, wait. It’s not time yet," Arix refused. This young man, though tough, wasn’t as terrifying as Quispe.

From the very start, Arix was only wary of Quispe. He was incredibly strong and unpredictable, like a mad dog ready to attack at any moment.

Right now, Quispe was playing with her, treating her like a toy. If Cupid and the others revealed themselves, Quispe would likely kill them instantly, and Arix couldn’t stop him.

So, unless it was absolutely necessary, Arix couldn’t reveal Cupid and the others.

"Hardy, don’t kill her. She’s my new toy," Quispe warned casually.

Hardy laughed coldly and hit even harder. Soon, Arix was covered in wounds. She ended up lying on the ground, spitting blood.

The students watching wanted to help Arix, but the other insectoids stopped them.

"Arix, don’t worry about us. Just go," the helpless students cried.

They knew Arix could escape alone. She stayed to buy them time. But watching her get hurt was worse than getting physically tortured for them.

"Arix, leave! We don’t need you to save us," the students shouted.

"Arix, save yourself. Go!" Calista cried the loudest.

Elio cried and fought the insectoids, cursing them with every bad word he knew.

Dae-jung didn’t shout, but his hands were bloody from gripping his dagger too tightly, eyes filled with anger at the scene.

Hardy, hearing the desperate cries, became even more vicious, like he was fueled by their misery.

After Arix was kicked away again, Quispe finally said coldly, "Enough. If she dies, so do you."

Hardy reluctantly stopped, giving a final angry huff before standing still.

Quispe saw that Hardy had calmed down, so he took back his murderous glare. Then he looked at Arix, who was lying on the ground and unable to move.

Quispe walked over to Arix. He squatted down and grabbed her bruised and bleeding cheek. He asked again, "Will you be my mate now? If you agree, I can do something for you, like kill the person who just abused you."

Arix forced a smile, looking at Quispe with a cold expression. "No way!"

Quispe laughed angrily, his red eyes both charming and dangerous. He smirked and said, "Whether it’s possible or not is not up to you. You should at least accept the opportunity and have a try, how do you know you won’t like it without having a taste?"

Arix felt disgusted and turned her head, not wanting to see him anymore.

Quispe thought her silence meant she had accepted her fate, so he stood up, satisfied.

He snapped his fingers.

A transparent, spherical psychic power barrier surrounded Arix on the ground. Then, she floated beside Quispe.

Arix didn’t resist. Sitting quietly in the barrier, she wiped the blood from her mouth.

Seeing Arix so obedient pleased Quispe even more. He took out a Star-Class healing potion from his Space Button and threw it to her.

"Take care of your injuries first. After I kill these weaklings, I’ll take you back to our insectoid Empire," Quispe said softly, but his words were cruel.

Arix clenched her fists, suppressing her anger. She took the potion, opened it, checked it, and then gulped it down.

Now was not the time to be picky. Drinking the potion might give her a better chance to fight back.

"Cupid, Vita, Sophia, are you ready?" Arix silently asked.

"Yes!" The three little ones nodded seriously, concentrating.

With their combined psychic power, Arix finally manifested a real psychic weapon in her hand.

She shattered the psychic power barrier trapping her and, before Quispe could react, used all her strength to stab a scalpel into his heart.

But Quispe, who should have died, showed no sign of injury. Instead, he used his psychic power to throw Arix forcefully away.

’Impossible. How could this happen?’ Arix spat out blood, looking at Quispe in shock. She couldn’t understand why he wasn’t dead.

Quispe sneered and used his psychic power to bind Arix, lifting her into the air in front of him.

"Are you curious why I didn’t die?" Quispe drank a healing potion slowly, without any anger in his voice.

It was like a human being scratched by a cat or dog—would they get angry at the pet? Pets are so cute, of course they would forgive them. Quispe felt the same way, or maybe he was just a pervert. The more his "pet" resisted, the more excited he became.

Arix watched in horror as the wound she had inflicted with all her strength healed right before her eyes. She finally broke down a bit, glaring at Quispe and asking for the first time, "So, why aren’t you dead?"

Quispe laughed loudly.

When he finally stopped, he touched Arix’s cheek gently and said with pity in his voice, "Woman, your name is Arix, right? You are adorably foolish. With our level of psychic power, unless you can completely destroy all of it at once, you can’t kill us physically. If there is a real weak spot, it should be here."

Quispe pointed to his head with his slender finger.

Arix was speechless. Now she understood. Unless she killed him in one blow, he could heal from any injury quickly. But to kill him in one blow, she would have to destroy his psychic power. That seemed impossible.

Arix also had Supergiant+ psychic power, but her Star-Class physical body limited her strength. If she used her full psychic power, her body would be the first to break down.

So, she destroying Quispe’s psychic power was nearly impossible. She realized that if she had aimed for his head earlier, she might have at least severely injured him, even if he didn’t die.

Thinking about the missed opportunity, Arix felt a pang of regret. "How about I try again? This time, I promise to aim for your head?" she asked, trying to negotiate. Maybe this crazy insectoid man would foolishly agree.

Quispe laughed even harder, clutching his forehead.

"Arix, you are too adorable. I’m finding it harder and harder to want to kill you," Quispe said tenderly, touching the corner of Arix’s eye. His eyes were full of mad obsession.

Arix’s mouth twitched, and she was about to retort when she heard an enraged shout.

"Bastard, let go of my sister!" Drexel yelled, his heart breaking at the sight of his injured and tormented sister.

At that moment, Drexel lost all reason. He charged at Quispe like a madman, gripping his spear.

Quispe snorted and snapped his fingers, creating a psychic power shield that blocked Drexel’s attack. But to his surprise, the shield shattered the next moment.

Even Quispe looked at Drexel with a puzzled expression. "Another Supergiant+? No, you’re not. Then how did you break my psychic power shield?"

"Shut up! You dare to mistreat my sister? I’ll crush you!" Drexel roared in fury.

Seeing Arix’s terrible condition had pushed his anger to its limit. Each strike he aimed at Quispe carried terrifying power, as if a god of war had descended.
