Chapter 154: Funny Flight

Chapter 154: Funny Flight

Not long after, Drexel returned with two ship tickets in hand. As he approached, the policewoman scolded him, "How could you leave your sister alone to buy tickets? Two thugs came by and harassed her!"

Drexel, scratching his head, looked puzzled. "Oh, are those thugs okay? Do we need to compensate them?"

The policewoman’s anger flared. She felt sorry for Arix, such a sweet girl, stuck with a clueless brother like him.

Instead of worrying about his sister, the boy was concerned about the thugs!

After some stern criticism, Drexel finally admitted he was wrong.

Satisfied, the policewoman huffed and turned to Arix gently. "I’ll leave now. If you run into any danger again, don’t count on your brother. Call the police right away."

She cast another disdainful glance at Drexel before shaking her head and leaving.

Arix smiled and waved goodbye to the policewoman, then she couldn’t help laughing out once she was gone.

"Ready to go, Mr. Unreliable?" Arix teased, raising an eyebrow.

Drexel was at a loss for words. ’Why do I always get hurt in these situations? Never mind, I’ll just quietly cry for a bit.’

Feeling rather emotional, Drexel hugged himself pitifully.

Then, he took Arix to board the best spaceship at the space station.

As soon as they stepped on board, they were greeted by luxurious decorations and elegantly dressed high society folks.

One perk of traveling with the elite is that they usually have manners, or at least they pretend to. But this was quickly proven wrong.

Thanks to their good looks, as soon as the siblings walked through the ship’s lobby, countless wealthy businessmen and their wives turned their gazes on them with obvious interest.

Those lecherous looks made Drexel’s face darken immediately.

It wasn’t entirely the businessmen’s fault. The siblings’ plain attire made them look out of place on such a high-end ship.

Moreover, every flight had its share of gold-diggers who, despite their humble origins, bought expensive tickets just to mingle with the rich.

Just imagine, if one of them managed to hook up with a wealthy and attractive person on the ship, they could potentially climb the social status ladder dramatically.

Because of this frequent occurrence, the businessmen had a bit of a preconceived notion.

If the siblings knew they were mistaken for gold-diggers just because they weren’t flaunting wealth, they would probably want to gouge out their eyes and donate them to someone really in need.

From the ship’s lobby to their cabin, Drexel noticed he was constantly ogled by numerous wealthy women. The most infuriating part was their lingering gazes on his certain, unspeakable area.

Seeing Drexel shaking with anger, Arix secretly chuckled. She leaned in and whispered, "If you meet a good person, start a family. If you meet an influential person, build a career. If you meet a wealthy woman, you get both. Why don’t you just go along with it?"

The more Drexel listened, the darker his expression became, almost ready to give his sister a lesson in love. But then, a thought crossed his mind, and he smirked, letting out a cold laugh.

He immediately switched to a tender, lovelorn expression, gazing at Arix with nauseating affection.

This made Arix shiver. She knew her brother too well; he was about to cause a scene.

Sure enough, Drexel raised his pinky, gently patting Arix’s shoulder with exaggerated shyness.

In a high-pitched, coquettish voice, he said, "Oh, darling, how could you say that? Aren’t I still your sweetie? Darn it, you’re so annoying!"

Apparently not satisfied, Drexel continued in the same tone, "Darling, I’m out here with you. Won’t your boyfriend get mad at me if he knows? What if he gets upset? I’m so scared, boo-hoo-hoo. But for you, my darling, I’m not scared at all because I love you the most, mwah!"

As he said this, Drexel leaned in for a playful, macho cuddle, nearly knocking Arix over. By the time he finished, the air in the lobby had turned deathly silent, followed by the sounds of people retching.

Arix, who had taken the brunt of this display, was completely stunned. In that moment, she learned the ultimate lesson: when you’re so nauseated that you can’t throw up anymore, you’ve reached a new level of disgust.

Drexel, sensing his performance hadn’t quite hit the mark, turned his gaze towards the vomiting businessmen and the horrified ladies in the lobby. Once again, he raised his pinky in a delicate manner and, in a syrupy voice, said, "Ladies and gentlemen, don’t you think I’m just adorable?"

To cap it off, Drexel puckered his lips and blew a disgustingly exaggerated kiss, sticking out his butt.

SNAP... RIP...

Finally, someone in the lobby couldn’t handle Drexel’s over-the-top antics and fell off their seats. As bodies hit the floor, the wealthy ladies and gentlemen fled back to their cabins, as if they had seen a demon in the flesh.

Looking at the now-empty lobby, Arix gave Drexel a thumbs up and said, "When it comes to getting people sick, you’re always the best, Drexel!"

Drexel narrowed his eyes, and his mischievous fingers twitched uncontrollably. Seeing Drexel about to raise his pinky again, Arix shivered and quickly apologized in terror, "For god’s sake, stop doing that. I’m sorry for whatever I’ve done, OK?"

Only then did Drexel let out a satisfied humph and continue walking toward their cabin. As he led the way, he sighed dramatically, "I’ve sacrificed so much to protect my chastity."

When they reached their cabin, Drexel unlocked the door and took a look around.

The place had two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a cozy living room. It felt like a fancy apartment, all stylish and well-decorated.

Drexel nodded, clearly pleased with what he saw. Turning to Arix, he said, "You hang out in the living room for a bit."

Arix nodded, a bit confused but silent, waiting as Drexel asked.

Drexel headed straight to one of the bedrooms, and soon the sound of things being taken apart echoed from inside.

"What are you doing?" Arix asked, unable to curb her curiosity. She peeked into the bedroom to find Drexel removing the handle of a bedside table. She blinked, wondering if Drexel was finally showing his wild side.

"Just hold on," Drexel said, his voice tight with controlled anger as he worked faster. Soon, Drexel emerged from the room holding tiny, mini-sized cameras.

Arix’s face darkened as she quickly grasped what those cameras were for. "Can we figure out who did this?" she asked, her voice seething.

"Let’s worry about that later. First, we need to find all the cameras. Arix, open the opticomputer, and I’ll guide you through it," Drexel said, helping Arix install an anti-surveillance app.

The app opened to a compass-like interface. Following the arrows, they tracked down more cameras.

After a hectic search, Arix and Drexel sat in the living room, staring at the dozen or so cameras on the table. "Should we report this?" Arix asked, her icy eyes now glinting with anger.

"Not yet," Drexel replied, shaking his head with a cold smile. "Whoever messed with my sister is in for some payback."

Arix raised an eyebrow, recognizing that Drexel was about to get crafty. But this time, she was excited. "What do you need me to do?" she asked, eager.

"Find me ten of the scariest videos, the ones with the best jump scares," Drexel instructed. As his fingers flew over the virtual screen, lines of code appeared in a blur.

Arix nodded and began hunting for the scariest videos she could find. Meanwhile, Drexel kept working on tracing the cameras’ owner.

In no time, Drexel’s virtual screen displayed details about an unfamiliar middle-aged man. He saved the man’s information and looked up at Arix. "Arix, are you done?"

Arix nodded. "I’ve sent the videos to your opticomputer. Check if they’re good."

Drexel reviewed the scary videos, choosing the most terrifying ones. Then, he hacked into the voyeur’s opticomputer.

As some indescribable files popped up, Drexel quickly looked away, muttering "gosh" quite a few times.

Arix remained composed, because the videos were all women’s.

However, knowing their purpose still made Arix grit her teeth in anger. She looked at Drexel, eyes blazing. "What about the videos of the victims?"
