So he died of cancer at 22. And he ended up in the other world. Without direct intervention from gods or truck-kun. His last moments were, well, something beautiful. Especially the part about "My life wasn't perfect, but it was my life." Everyone loves to live. Even those who have suicid*l thoughts. They love to live, but they haven't realized it yet, and that's why they're afraid of taking the final terrible step. The MC accepted his death calmly, without regrets. Something few do, even in these kinds of stories. Now let's see how the story progresses. And if he learns to love the world.
i agree compared to wang lin his life is very smooth but i think they are also kinda diff wang lin start off with everything by which i mean his family and loses everyone he loved along the way compared to qing who gains friend and people he calls family along the way

did u not read his backstory his parent were killed by his brother and then he finds that same bro is not who he used to be and he has been living in slums since he was little and barely surviving, his mentor and supporter dying but i think im misunderstanding your point or maybe u misunderstood mine i meant he shows his ruthlessness throughtout the story

Xu Qing doesn't become ruthless in any way. By the time the stpry starts, he's already encountered plenty of misfortune and developed to be a ruthless person. Really, throughout the story Xu Qing has encountered very little misfortune.
i think morals and most of the choices we make are based on wuts feel right at the moment thus morals are based on our emotions. Right and wrong has always been decided my humans. we are the authors of ethics and law and i think we do need them because humans can be very evil and if there nothing to reigh em then society would decend into chaos and that enviroment would hence be unproductive and unsafe

Morals are survival mechanisms that helped humans survive in the ruthless world, moral societies and organisations find it easier to survive compared to unmoral ones, it simply is a matter of efficiency, what a government or organisation cares about most is their survival, survival is the rule of this world, it is the basis of everything, and it is easier to survive when your subjects are easy to control and are bound by morals so as to not act against you, the greatest tool in the world for organisations is religion, in the abrahamic religion, god tells abraham to kill his own son, and only until he is about to kill him that he is spared from that choice, what he wanted was absolute obedience, being an absolute slave with no volition of their own, this makes it easier for societies to rule, if a King told you to fight in his war, you would do so, even if you are poor you would think stealing is immoral thus leaving the rich upper-class that usurpes the wealth of the kingdom safe.
it has great start compared to other extra novels
