great novel to be honest, I really enjoyed it. read about 1400 chapters, and the first thousand were pretty peak. author kinda rushed the rest of the novel I believe (thinking about how much story is left to tell with only 800 chapters when it should realistically be a couple thousand)
at the end of the first volume, this series gets bumped up from a 7.5/10 to a 9.9/10, pretty much perfect. Although the beginning has some boring and cringe moments, the beginning is still pretty good in comparison to some other novels, and after chapter 80 the series gets bumped up to another level of quality. The first volume ending is absolutely mind-shattering, so much so that i'd rank it alongside LOTM and shadow slave just by that ending. really recommend you give it a try, at least get to chapter 100 or so before dropping it
don't know why one of the OG peak cultivation novels is ranked so low with no reviews, but as the first reviewer i'll be the one to start its journey on this site. read all the way up to the last couple hundred chapters when the story was basically complete already, and i gotta say it holds a place in my heart for giving me a true taste of how cultivation novels should be. by all standards, you could say it's one of those cliche boring novels, but i think this novel excels especially as a cliche novel. Despite being a cliche novel, it has amazing writing and always kept me locked into the story and continuing reading even when it got boring. This novel will never be a bad choice i believe, so if you ever run into a novel drought not knowing what to read next, i recommend you read this.
Currently all caught up to released chapters (210) and this novel is really good, one of my new favorites for sure. the mc is awesome, and the story has a lot of funny moments. not gonna go into detail, but give it a try and I don't think you'll regret it if you enjoy these "extra" type novels.
