Author is doing an incredible job writing Tyron's erratic behavior. He can be ruthless and cruel with Laurel, cold and unyelding with his students or others and here we can see a patient and almost a defensless side of him through this conversation with Filleta.

Man is a big mess, not a typical edgy character, a real antihero but undoubtly human despite all he is and he's done.

Flyn is that lowkey kind but brave and loyal in the meantime.

I think this is a trend along with the Tyron change of behavior, he's going too far with Dove little by little. Even if Dove is indeed changed and of course insufferable, he can't excuse all he did and became with the matter of revenge.

I think the author point out Dove's mental state like a mirror of Tyron's. I'm curious to see how all that mess will unfold.
