Just one of the best novels I’ve ever read, and I’ve read a lot. At first, it felt generic, but I kept reading, and by the time I reached the end of Volume 1, I was completely blown away by how wrong I’d been. If you have the patience for true peak fiction, I highly recommend it.
If u wish I can spoil u but the part u are on is the last and only "typical generic" part of the novel, if u take my word for it you will probably be having a different opinion if u reach the end of the void dungeon arc, and then the end of volume 1.
just the first bits of the chapters u are on seem like that but it is actually much deeper and all us readers got fooled for it.

Mc transmigrates into the body of a young master generally percieved as useless. With one new thing, a tatoo on his forearm giving him special abilities. Proceeds to show people he isn't useless and gets first place of his year, while kinda hesitant to lead them for some reason. Enters a realm filled with monsters together with his class, and this place is for some reason more dangerous than expected. And then I stopped caring cuz i was reading the same novel again minus the harem.
when did this have any similiraties with advent? unless you read without using your eyes I cant say I recall such, nor is the world building bad in the slightest if you read till chapter 175 like anyone else says reading this novel. dont spread misinformation that is disrespectful to potential readers and the author

If you enjoyed Advent of the three calamities you will enjoy this. Let's just say the overall vibe of this novel is heavily inspired by it. The story is pretty similar as well. So yeah, if you wanted to read Advent of the three calamities for a second time, but with worse world building, here ya go. Not for me.
