I was just expecting it to be another typical smut story when I started reading. The first couple of chapters seemed exactly like that, but although it starts out slow, the plot starts to kick in. The narrative is quite contemplative; it has numerous turns and justifications for various plot points. The author uses excellent writing to create predetermined characters, predetermined world rules, fascinating allusions to mythology or other works, and even explicit language. I admire the author for being a well-read individual. I found the story to be pretty engaging.
